Irissa's Origins - A Cyclopean hamlet in Nocturnus
Blufiji replied to Ayrlego's topic in Guilds of Historica
I can see some inspiration taken from the Reach, but I enjoy your added touches. I love the round stone/wood hut combos, and the back story is superb. -
Great work on the lil details.

Book III - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Blufiji replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lord Valan of Greenwood Deep: Hailing from one of the many shadowy swamp villages in Nocturnus, he left his home after it was devastated by the civil war. He took refuge in a small human mining town near the Rakath Range, and found himself fighting for it's defense when the Civil War finally found it, though it was all for not. Ravage's forces killed most of the population and claimed the mines for the war effort. With nothing left to fight for, and seeing that war in the east may never end, he took his talents west, working as a mercenary in the deserts of Kaliphlin. Eventually he found himself in Avalonia, as he ended up rescuing a high ranking Lord's daughter from a group of errant knights. Pleased with his service, the Lord rewarded him with a small fortune and a claim of land in the fringes of the southwestern forests of Avalonia. From this he established a small castle, Greenwood Deep and soon the small village of Greenwood took hold nearby. After seeing so much loss and devastation due to the ambitions of less than honorable folk, he simply wishes to live the rest of his days in peace. However if need be, he has no hesitation or reservations about donning his heavy chain mail and shield, and wielding his short war hammer in battle once again for the defense of those who need it. -
Glad to be back. Working on my character.

Not at all and good to be back. I am still mulling over a character and a Guild. A dwarf from Mitgardia or a noble from Valyrio.. I think a new character with a new path will do me some good. Thanks!

Jeric is one of the few humans who makes his permanent home in the depths of the Twilight Forest that surrounds the Reach. He is a skilled hunter and outdoorsman and enjoys the peace that the forest brings...

Very nice mountain and organic dragon. I like the concept of this build even more, and your posing really added a bit of danger to it.

This is a beautiful swamp city sir. I like the hustle and bustle of it and it has your usual artistic flare to it.

Very nice intro and a beautiful castle to boot! Welcome!

Thanks Gunman, the lime was something I stumbled on and just kinda ran with it! Thanks Mrc! I appreciate it Faladrin, though I will admit the back section (what you cant see) is lacking a bit. There was some inspiration from the Iron Islands in this, thanks Goth! Once again, I always appreciate your in depth critiques and thoughts. As a counter to your first tweak, my mind had this build oriented with larger islands further out and the building facing the shore. In that regard, the islands in the front are actually more inland vs the main island. However i see your point as if you are looking at the front of the building facing out to see. In that regard you are absolutely correct! In regards to your second tweak, you are spot on and it that was something I had to compromise with in the end. Thanks Henjin! Thanks Maestro! who knows, there might be a series 2 on the horizon... Thanks SK! I thought that details would be pretty cool to have.

I see alot of influence from Legonardo in your style, and i will say you are doing him justice with your technique. Keep it up!

Very organic and realistic shaping. I really like the section on the left with the broken wall.

Very Nice, good use of color to help it stand out against the snow.
