  1. Perhaps they'll keep up with the seedier part of town vibe they started with Detective's Office and make a laundromat/bus station.
  2. I was actually looking at the Muscled Cuirass last month and wishing there was just a straight up cape piece. Now make it in grey so we can make an Army of Darkness Hero Ash mini please. :D
  3. I'd much prefer this to Scooby Doo. I mean, I grew up with Scooby Doo and wouldn't mind minifigs of it but I'd prefer that in a LEGO Ideas set. A full line seems a bit much. Is there a website with Boudin's artwork btw?
  4. Yeah the build is fantastic. When you open up all the bags and see the parts there in the box you start to feel a little uneasy, like "where are all the BIG parts for the body?" It just looks like a pile of small parts. But the way they add up to a great machine is part of why I love LEGO.
  5. Definitely interested in these new hairpieces.
  6. Can't say I'm disappointed because I wasn't expecting much. Very basic sets, not many bricks, not too many minifigures. Am pleased at the number of female minifigures. Hopefully the designs or all will be nice and robust. Would've been nice to have a more creative use of the theme.
  7. I'd really like for Green Arrow to have the Wyldstyle unworn hood piece in green.
  8. Yeah I was out this weekend trying to find some cheap Black Gates, but they're not in stock around here. I did get the Dol Guldur Ambush and the Attack of the Wargs on clearance though. I want Laketown Chase but I can see them dropping that price yet even further.
  9. LEGO Muppets CMFs is a great idea.
  10. Honestly I think they should give Peter Reid-style neo-Classic Space a shot. I like most of the Space themes we get but Galaxy Squad was a tad boring for me... loved the look of the minifigs but the humans vs aliens concept is a bit played out IMO.
  11. I like the look of the minis but I suspect most of us can scrounge up almost all of the non-printed parts at a moment's notice. Would've preferred more minifig sets.
  12. I don't know if you would consider this conclusive evidence or not, but I routinely check the Bricks and Pieces search engine on the US LEGO site and the green Classic Space torsos were back in stock last week after having been out of stock since the initial release. In the past my observation of this occurrence usually signified a new supply of parts from a fresh production run.
  13. Thanks for the pics and review! Love this wave, there's no figures I'm outright dreading getting if I pull a few random packs. Favorite is the Space Miner and Spooky Girl. Love more Space factions and the Spooky Girl is just a very nice minifig. Swashbuckler's going to star in my 2015 Pirates purchases, I can feel it.
  14. Thanks. I take your point, it's not true Blacktron I, nor is the LEGO Ideas Exo-Suit a true Classic Space design. Neo-Blacktron or Blacktron III or whatever you'd like to call it is more fitting from a categorization point of view. For me personally however 'Blacktron' is a catch-all term for Blacktron I and II and the new Blacktron minifigs from the CMF line and Space Police III. To use another theme as an example, if one were to make a Pirates MOC I don't see the point in distinguishing between Pirates I and Pirates II. If one built something that didn't fit in with either style-wise it would still be Pirates, not Neo-Pirates. To me Blacktron is a group. Everything in that group is Blacktron. Yeah the windscreen was where it all sort of came together. As for the feet, I tried it with a black 2x1 curved slope and grille and it looked good as an individual part but I thought it threw off the balance when viewed as a whole. Having more yellow worked better to my eyes. It does look a little banana-shoed though, maybe I'll try a black curved slope with the yellow grille.
  15. Pretty straightforward palette-swap for the most part. The windscreen ad arms are the main changes. I'd like to make some gun arms eventually, the claws looks pretty vicious though IMO. Built it before the contest but can't enter it because I altered the colors of the base of the suit, although it's the same parts.
  16. God I hope this is true, that'd be pretty great. I'm wondering if it's going to be a 'Detective Agency' the same way the Pet Shop was a 'Pet Shop' - i.e. only part of the set was the shop. I'm hoping for a 40s art deco building rather than the Sherlock Holmes-inspired set some of you are speculating about - that would fit the vague time period of the modulars better imo.
  17. Would prefer Supergirl over Hawkman but I'm not going to complain! Plus it's nice to get some more non-Batman villains, I was just thinking my DC display was a little lopsided in favor of the heroes.
  18. It was a lot of rumor-mongering from scalpers and pessimists in my opinion. From what I recall, the basis of the limited run talk was that Mark Stafford, designer of the set(from TLG's end) said on Reddit it was going to be a single run. Subsequently he said runs can be as small as 10,000 sets. From this people conflated the two separate factoids into one: it was to be a single 10,000 set run. Panic ensued. Later I read that all the Cuusoo/LEGO Ideas sets started as a single run, and it would make sense that they do this as opposed to the multiple production runs of more popular mass retail sets like Star Wars, Marvel etc. Even if the Cuusoo/LEGO Ideas sets sell well, they are limited to online and limited brick & mortar release so it wouldn't take as many sets to stock the shelves. That may be hard to see in light of the sell-outs of the Exo-Suit but let's see where we are in six months regarding availability of that set. I recall several Cuusoo sets sold out initially and are easily available today(along with a couple that are not).
  19. I was hoping for a regular sized Darkseid. I think they could do an effective one making a new thicker mold of the classic space helmet, and printing his grey forehead on it. Then his actual mini head would be grey. Bonus they'd have a new Classic Space helmet mold.
  20. Built one of my two on sunday, might some minor mods. Love this set. https://www.flickr.c...04/14881140986/

Please remember to stick to our image size guidelines which can be found here.
  22. If they did a $20 set with Ant-Man and a giant(relatively) ant with whatever his enemy is in the film, that'd be great.
  23. Amazon sells the other LEGO Ideas/Cuusoo sets, so I'd bet on it. They're also the only store I know of that ever discounts them(if someone knows of others, please correct me). As for when they'd start... that can be a toss-up. They only finally started selling the new Arctic sets recently. E-sellers on their site were selling them at a big markup for a long time before that.
  24. All I really want out of more Ultra Agents sets is a new Caila Phoenix with the same hair color, but in a different hair style.
