  1. It sounds like it to me!And anyway, if it isn't, it would still be a great way to introduce your character.
  2. I agree, it is probably an attempt to boost sales to people who either don't have a large amount of pieces, or, possibly it is designed to challenge the thinking that Lego is a toy which can't be used with anything else.
  3. Great idea putting the builds all together on a backdrop like that. A team Kaliphlin version is now on my to do list!
  4. Great introduction! I really like how you did the stairs. Welcome to GoH!
  5. Ah, thats why I didn't recognise them, as far as I know, the series 16s haven't arrived in Australia yet.
  6. Oops, your right, it should have gone there! Hopefully a Mod will move it.
  7. Nice one. I really like the wall texture on the houses and the use of those joints on the roof. A couple of things could be improved, such as the texturing on the ground near the stalls. Adding some 1 x 2 plates would really break it up a bit and make it appear more natural. Some more flower stems would help as well. An irregular base would work really well here in my opinion, though it can be hard to get a strong one without using a lot of plates. Last thing, the tree is a bit flat, adding some more leaves to the top would really improve it. Overall, great build!
  8. I think a combination of these would work best for a ground covering:http://brickset.com/parts/374128 http://brickset.com/parts/4114348 http://brickset.com/parts/4106895 http://brickset.com/parts/6055509 The last part out of the four isn't cheap though. These can also work well for thick vegetation as I did here- (larger image in signature). http://brickset.com/parts/6006425 http://brickset.com/parts/4613823
  9. This article here pretty much sums it up- https://www.dpreview.com/news/4483168769/flickr-ownership-changes-hands-as-verizon-acquires-yahoo?comment=1945845355 Thoughts anyone?
  10. Nice one. Thats a big collection of those mini figures! I also really like the landscaping technique, thats something I haven't seen before. Which series of CMFs did they come in? (If I am correct in thinking they are from one of those).
  11. Wow, I am surprised this is an official set!
  12. Thanks! That was the idea with the patches of colour.
  13. Nice one! Do you have a 3/4 view from the front? Its a bit hard to see all the details that are no doubt there from that angle.
  14. Definitely take photos of all the parts with stickers, that way the buyer can't complain that they are damaged.
  15. That sounds like the perfect solution to me!
  16. Its always interesting to see how things like that change over time. Great job!
  17. There is a start new topic button near the top right section of each subform, in a similar sort to where the Reply to this Topic button is to be found. Have a look here for more info. http://www.eurobrick...5
  18. I have always thought that the border between Kaliphlin and Nocturnus was the mountains, I also thought that the border with Avalonia was on the edge of the wither woods. Most borders, unless adequately policed, will have a bit of cross over, particularly between Nocty and Kaliphlin.
  19. Great job! One thing that could be added here would be to add some white and a blue plates to the blue base plate to make the water seem more realistic and natural.
  20. For that scale, you certainly do! Try looking at smaller models with a similar theme and up size them. Is this the sort of rice paddies you meant? (Again, not my MOC.) vietnam_diorama_update11 by Mark Parker, on Flickr
  21. Nice one! Some slightly brighter photos would improve the presentation quite a bit though.
  22. Is this the sort of thing you mean? (Not specifically in a castle / fantasy setting, but I mean more the vegetation style.) Collab: Pirate Paradise by Grant Davis, on Flickr Note, this is not my MOC.
  23. One thing for the latest update, the 1 brick drop between the levels as it goes down is a bit much, using plates and / or slopes would improve it a lot.
  24. For future reference, this is a good place to ask- Which forum does my MOC/topic belong in?
  25. Welcome to EB! From what you mentioned, you will have to be mother specific to receive a helpful answer to your question, such as what version of LDD you are using, and be more specific about the issue itself. Have you tried searching the internet for the problem? Quite often if there is a problem with software such as LDD, someone will have had the issue before you and worked out a solution.
