  1. Now that is culture!
  2. Sorry, that's what I meant, King Archibald and Corporal Milton. They made it to Bastion, and I'll figure out what the payout should be.
  3. So Cardinal and Misfortune's Revenge made it to Bastion. What is their cargo capacity? (I can't find the ship stats right now.) Or are they just armed escorts?
  4. What were the other three in the group? Cardinal and Misfortune's Revenge (along with the Darting Frog)?
  5. What port were they headed to, and what is their cargo capacity? They came up with an error message in our data output that we thought meant they were licensed but not entered in the Trade MRCA.
  6. That's what those are! Thanks. Yep, those moments are some of my favorites when trying to design something.
  7. Fun picture with good minifig posing! I'm not sure it quite meets the requirement for a licensable property build, but I'll overlook that for the humor value! 25 DBs have been deposited in your account.
  8. Stunning build! I love this! You have brought Garvey to life. Great port scene, with a variety of structures, terrain, and activity. BoBS has had several port scenes, and this may be my favorite. Great work!
  9. Very clever take on the Octoberfest connection! And I love the detail in the build, both interior and exterior. Also, I did notice that Gov Guilder is visiting!
  10. Another factor in ESL results this month is that most ESL players had a 20% bonus from challenge V, so the results are inflated a bit above the norm. The analysis is fascinating. Thanks for doing this Mesabi!
  11. Sorry for taking so long to comment on these great figs! Among my faves are the Croquet Champion (great use of the Capt Hook hat/hair!), Carpenter, Confectioner/Chocolatier, and Corset Dress Maker ("Fashion isn't comfortable, honey. Now inhale while I PULL!!" I love this text!). From set #2, I like the Cooper, and I really like how you did the drink/glass with the Crazed Hatter.
  12. A note to all who have visited Weelond's Octoberfest, and to those who are still making their way here: An extension has been granted to the festivities: entries will be accepted through the end of the month on Tuesday, rather than cutting off Sunday.
  13. Our editorial offices have indeed heard that preparations are being made for auctioning off ill-gotten booty. We hope to know more from our sources in the Sea of Thieves after this weekend.
  14. I love it! The Red Barn Inn is full of character. Great interior as well! Go ahead and license it, and I'll get the 25DBs entry award to you momentarily. And the mess is nothing like that left by the WTC earlier in the month. But it does make me wonder if Corrie mothers ever make their kids pick up after themselves.
  15. To confirm: The Alexander received the challenge 5 bonus. HMS Alice did not, as it is based only on final destination, but I have gone back and added it since that requirement was not made clear. So, HMS Alice profit adjusted to 56, and @blackdeathgr's Crete profit is adjusted to 91. For the next Trade MRCA, note that Terraversa is no longer a Mardierian city, and that to receive the Challenge 5 bonuses, a ship most end its trade run in the relevant port.
  16. Actually, you did sort of warn us, but too late to do anything about it. It was well played.
  17. Right now he's leaning independent. Does that get recorded somewhere in the account?
  18. Or maybe the Colonial Council has awoken ...
  19. It's our legislature. It should handle tax issues and other things that affect more than one settlement or one trade company. OK, I tracked down the details: Prerogatives of the Colonial Council, Section IV: a) The Colonial Council shall decide by vote when and how many troops, ships, or forts to build, raise, disband, or sell, above the automatic thresholds. b) The Colonial Council may overrule (up to half of the forces available) the disposition of forces made by the Continental Council by a veto vote. c) The Colonial Council may not declare war, but must approve for any war to be declared. d) The Colonial Council may not sign treaties, but must ratify prior to their signing. e) The Colonial Council may propose and vote upon new monopolies, but the Continental Council possesses veto power. f) The Colonial Council may veto any charter granted by the Continental Council. g) The Colonial Council may determine when to recognize a chartered Trade Company, admitting them to a permanent seat on the Colonial Council. h) The Colonial Council may raise or lower taxes by vote without let or hindrance. i) Veto upon the Continental Council may only be considered for one month subsequent to the Continental Council’s decision. j) The above provisions notwithstanding, the Colonial Council shall take no action disapproved by the leadership of the Brick Seas. Some of this was a big deal when we were at war with Mardier. We recently moved troops back to their owners' islands. Everyone who was paying for the troops upkeep was in agreement, but we probably should have raised this in the Colonial Council.
  20. All that said, we really haven't used the council as much as we should have the last few months. Perhaps a new round of elections will reinvigorate our use of it IC.
  21. Boy, now I gotta remember how this works. It's one player, with one character running for election, but then that player gets three votes/seats in the council, which the player fills out with 2 additional characters. That said, the full team of three characters by one player could "campaign" as opposed to just the main character. Regardless, only one build would be needed for the campaign, and if the player wins election would have three votes/seats/characters on the council.
  22. We'll have new elections in December. You could have Keenan Reid run for office, or develop a secondary character to do that, ether one.
  23. What kind of extension might you need? PM me.
  24. Darn it. I just got my popcorn!
  25. @Phred, could you set up an account for Eslandola's newest member, @TheCubbScout? Thanks. Also, I was just looking at the settlement spreadsheet, and there is some serious wonkiness going on. Various settlements have lost several properties!
