  1. To those who are experienced with Steampunk builds, can you help me with a guide of basic parts that are needed for all kinds of Steampunk builds? That also includes minifig parts as well. Some tips and techniques would suffice as well. The reason I'm asking for this is because I want to create an overall guide in the near future for people who are wanting to build Steampunk things but aren't sure what parts to use and, overall, help them out with this guide. Like I said, the guide will contain a list of important parts, minifig parts, and building techniques. Thanks guys, -Goliath
  2. Thank you for having me and I had a great time playing!
  3. Personally, I like using fleshies for that same reason. I'd say use whatever you have more of an abundance of and/or like better.
  4. Mhinak looks up at Half-Giant with a slight frown and responds. "Sorry to hear. Look on the bright side, you saved many people who could have gotten sick with the engineered disease that doctor created. Sometimes, we all have to sacrifice certain things even though we don't want to. Like I said, you could always get yourself a new arm. Other inventors like myself tend to call them mechanical-arms since they run on a series of levers and steam to move. I don't want to bore you so I'll just leave it at that. It's something to look into I suppose."
  5. Mhinak finds a seat at the bar, right next to Vindsval. "I hope the seat isn't taken. If you don't mind me asking, what happened to your arm? Surely you had one there before laddie, am I right? Perhaps some day I could fashion you an arm that is as tough as steel but just as gentle as any mans' grip." Mhinak orders an ale and a meaty stew.
  6. Very nice build and the rocks and tunnel look beautiful! Also, I do think the tamed Wargs are a pretty cool touch since almost everything can be domesticated so why not them? I mean if Orcs can do it why not Elves?
  7. Thank you and I'm glad you like it. Thanks. It's fine, I'm not here to judge. The elephant look wasn't my first idea but finding those various parts just gave me the idea and it goes nicely since these Dwarves come from Kaliphlin and that is how Mhinak envisioned the siege cannon. Speaking of which, I wasn't aware of bombardment cannons during the Medieval era so thank you for sharing that and I will definitely take a look into those. I will also get the baseplate clean, don't worry! Thanks. They are actually supposed to be Elephant tusks. Boar tusks would be pretty badass for a siege weapon but they're a lot smaller compared to Elephant tusks.
  8. Awesome build and I really love the fact that you added the gold and silver ores there, small things like that just compliment the setting very nicely.
  9. Thank you all for the kind comments, they really mean a lot to me. I'll be honest though, I didn't really intend for it to have the illusion of it being in the distance but, now that you guys mention it, I like that better. So bush was originally to break up a bit of the barren landscape but it does ruin the forced perspective shot unless the bush was something like this which is just a large bush. Overall, I wanted to take a very different approach and I'm glad you guys like it despite it being a different concept in the crowd.
  10. Coming from the one who voted for himself and made little effort the defend himself, I think I'll pass.
  11. Damn, that's going to take a long time! I'll still try to get it accomplished though.
  12. I'm super excited now that I have my new character up! I wonder when a quest will be up giving out Bonaparte reputation and/or Artisan though. I hope not when I get chosen for a quest.
  13. Mhinak silently enters the Hall. Mhinak signs-up for Quest #122 & Quest #125
  14. But at the end of the day, it's you that is being impeached. Judging by the votes against you as of now that is.
  15. I didn't recieve a message like that by him but nonetheless, it's interesting? And by "defection", he meant to convert you to Octan?

  17. Awesome job, Gideon, both pictures and the build itself look perfect!
  18. Okay, thanks guys. I'll keep my eyes peeled for quests giving both Artisan and Bonaparte reputation. I am only interested in those two, and thanks for clarifying that I can use only one of those classes at a time, and not really the other ones.
  19. Salt-Upon-Wounds leaves as well.
  20. "Farewell, Vindsval. Let these items help you through your time of need as well. Tread lightly, Vindsval, and you too, doctor."
  21. Is it possible to become both an Artisan and a Cannoneer or only one? And how long do Market quests typically last and where can I find them? Same questions apply for quests with helping out the Bonapartes.
  22. "Thanks doctor but I believe everything I have should go to Vindsval. I must admit I have become overwhelmed by this experience and, as much as I admit it was fun, I don't think I'm cut out for it. I'll return back home in the mountains and help out my people. It's not everyday you encounter a Hobgoblin like myself so please, don't forget about me." Salt-Upon-Wounds gifts Vindsval all items in inventory and all gold.
  23. Very nice build and I like the dialogue! The waterfall and details in the rock are nice too.
  24. Very nice build and the detailing is just beautiful.
