  1. For a small build, this looks awesome!
  2. Very nice build, it looks awesome! I should also mention that the dwarf with the ponytail mohawk looks badass!
  3. Good to know, Ecc. Here is my build for Category A for the Dwarven side, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104529
  4. This is my build for Category A for the Dwarven side of the challenge. I know it's probably not what anyone was expecting but it's something different and goes pretty good with Kaliphlin. The party lead by Commander Jabod has reached quite an odd structure found out in the Siccus Badlands while heading north to Avalonia to help Dwarves gain equality. The Obelisk was built by some of the earlier surface Dwarves from about 1,000 years ago to, from what everyone believes, to praise their new God in the sun. Of course, their are plenty of Dwarves who think that is all bunk. "Well my my, look at that," says Commander Jabod, "isn't she just magnificent?" "She?" asks Mhinak, "What do you mean she? It's just a giant... pillar." "Ah, I suppose you are one of those people who believe it's all bunk. Shall I give you a bit of a history lesson?" "Maybe some other time, sure, but for now, give me a quick run-down of what I'm looking at." "Well, this here is an Obelisk that looks like it was built by some of the earliest surface Dwarves known to date," explains Jabod, "and, for all we know it's to honor the Sun that our ancestors had never seen before." "Thanks for the history lesson, Jabod, but we really should get going. The bandits out here aren't the type of people to chat with." "Very well than, let's get goin' boys!" The party continues to stare at the Dwarven Obelisk for a few seconds later until they get bored and continue to move on towards Avalonia. They still have quite the walk to go and being stuck in the badlands of Kaliphlin definitely isn't a good thing.
  5. Awesome builds and dialogue, I love it!
  6. "Look, doctor, we had no choice but to stop the Rosalia Pestilence before it had the chance to escape. If anything, you should be thanking us for dealing with your dirty work! If people found out about this, they'd say your mad and demand your execution! I'm sure you wouldn't like that to happen so pay up and let us be on our way."
  7. Glad you like it. I know that to the eyes of some that cannons and flintlock weapons are too much, which I can understand, but Dwarves are usually depicted as a race of tinkerers and inventors. I think that Dwarves should have these to some extent. I was told a while back that yes, there is gunpowder in GoH but not a lot to say support an army. I think that being able to support a cannon (with only about 4 shots left) and a little flintlock pistol is more than enough. That's also why I decided to give the other soldiers swords and a crossbow. Also, I plan to buy some certain bricks and more minifig parts, mainly for Dwarves, that way I can build a bit more. I have quite a bit of light gray bricks to use but I really do want to add in certain textures to break up the original wall like some people do. I like how it turns out to look. I might go with tan because it, well, fits Kaliphlin better and I am a part of Kaliphlin. Well there's only one cannon and one flintlock pistol. Thanks for the kind comments though and yes, I really do need to clean my baseplates. I feel a bit embarrassed now because of that. I haven't used them in a while so they've just been collecting dust.
  8. That is true. Thanks! Again, thank you both for the kind comments, they mean a lot especially since, well, I know I am not a very good builder and hardly upload any builds. All comments and feedback are welcome.
  9. Awesome Steampunk minifigs! I really like rows one and three the most.
  10. Out of curiosity, would today technically be considered the last day for entries since it is January 11th?
  11. Thanks! I didn't first intend to have the Dwarves look like that until I found some of the parts like the hats and torsos I had gotten in a pirate set years ago and thought it would be cool for Dwarves. I love how it came out and, like you said, they make for some pretty cool Steampunk minifigs. I hope it's not too much for some people but I've always invisioned Dwarves to have more superior equipment than anyone else, I guess like from World of Warcraft and The Elder Scrolls (but in The Elder Scrolls, Dwarves were actually a type of Elves just called "Dwarves" because that's what the Giants called them). I will also check out your fig-barf especially since I love Steampunk things.
  12. Awesome statue, I love it! The statue looks like something I'd see in Dragon Age.
  13. "Sure thing, doctor." Salt-Upon-Wounds checks himself. "There seems to be nothing wrong."
  14. My build for Category C is here, http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=104464
  15. [The party has arrived at Vimgolar, the old Dwarven town located near the Kaliphlin/Avalonian border that was dedicated to inventing new contraptions and weapons. It's been years since any Dwarf has lived there since the Drow have set up camp there for the past decade. The place was once a small populated by surface Dwarves and full of joy is now full of Drow warriors and despair. The Dwarven Legion will liberate this place and hopefully, one day, restore Vimgolar to it's former glory! But first, they need to kill there Drow who linger inside.] ] [bOOM! Mhinak's mobile-cannon fires and breaks the stone doors. It's not long until the Drow start pouring out in a bloodthirsty rage for Dwarven blood.] Mhinak: Oh shite... [The Legionnaires draw up their swords and are ready to fight. Commander Jabod readies his custom flintlock made by Mhinak. The party didn't bring a lot of gunpowder, just enough to fire the cannon a few times and the flintlock. The reserves where running low before the journey that Mhinak created.] [it didn't take long for the Dwarves to kill the Drow that had rushed from the main gate. Were those all the Drow that had been living in the ruins of Vimgolar? No one knows because simply they hadn't entered. The town isn't that large and it doesn't take a lot of Zar-Ifrikt warriors that had pledged their alliance to the Drow to fight Dwarves since the Zar-Ifrikt are fierce fighters. This time, they had been outmatched by the craftsmanship and bravey of Dwarves.] Commander Jabod: I think that's all of them, good job laddies. Mhinak, I would like to thank you for helping us and we know it's been quite a journey for you and you're a long way from home. Because of you, we might be able to restore order to Dwarves in Avalonia and, eventually, all of Historica. Mhinak: Thank you, Commander, it has been my pleasure. I should return back to Kaliphlin before the Elves and Men catch me up here. No Dwarf is safe it seems these days. I'd also like for you to keep the cannon, since it's too heavy for just me to bring back and I'm sure you'll need it. Commander Jabod: Will do, Mhinak. Tread lightly back to Kaliphlin, the bombardment is sure to attract the attention of anyone near the area. I'll also right to you once you return and try and send some supplies if you can, like pickaxes and swords. [Mhinak then begins to venture south back to Kaliphlin with a smile on his face for helping out an old friend and begin to restore equality back to Dwarves.]
  16. "I wonder how the doctor is going to react to us. Should we be honest and let him know about Isaac?" OoC: I hate to sound needy but when will the quest be finished?
  17. Awesome build, it is just fantastic!
  18. By put "one and one together", you mean that you've been squirming around, contemplating on whether you should give up or not, and looking scummy when you were blocked on a night where no impeachments happened? Pierce is a good vote for the day unless you know who is Octan or not, like with Figurelli and Stanley, then say it now. You've been right about those two being Octan, which is astonishing, but we all know that at the end of the day, there has to be an impeachment/lynch and Pierce is digging himself a deeper grave.
  19. All three of my builds should be up today but slowly. I still have to make some adjustments to things and I wasted a few days trying to find the rest of the Dwarf legs I had when I had them in the most obvious spot. The first one should be up sometime this afternoon.
  20. I love how he voted for himself then quickly changed it! Vote: Pierce Davy (Piratedave) He's our best lead by far along with scummiest. Must I explain any further? I mean, it's quite obvious he's Octan at this point.
  21. I completely agree, Archie. Exactly how do you know that? I was honestly thinking the same thing since there has been extended periods of times where he/she's been awfully quiet but a bit "obnoxious" with his posts.
  22. Out of curiosity, Sinclair, what role are you then, if you are a Loyalist and believe Siegfried is lying? You don't have to answer but, like I said, I'm just curious.
