  1. Great desert vegetation and ruins! I'm not usually a big fan of reading through longer stories like this, but the close up pictures of action and the profiles for dialogue really help!
  2. Nestled in the busy streets of the city of Albion in Avalonia is a cozy bookstore. Although small in size, it is packed from floor to ceiling with books of all shapes and sizes, and is renown for being one of the best places in Historica to find knowledge. From ancient tomes to magical spellbooks, Nocturnus cookbooks full of questionable recipies to Varlyarian romances, any type of book can be found here, for the right price... Notes: Hi guys! This is a 8x32 Modular Bookstore I built for my LUGs build challenge . Of course, I decided to build mine medieval themed and set in Avalonia. I posted this a bit ago on Flickr, but hadn't gotten around to posting it here until now. Hope you enjoy
  3. I love the texturing in this tower! Theres a wide variety of colors, from sand green, nougat, dark tan, and tan, and dark and light bley, and normally I feel like they would clash and look out of place, but it fits really well! I also really like the various techniques you use to create the dark bley mortar between the bricks. I also really like the contrast with the bottom portion, where everything fits together so smoothly, with the rough texture of the middle. Beautiful build!
  4. Another really nice vignette! The bridge is the eye catching part of this build, and looks great! I also really like design of the tree in the planter and the light post, very fittingly of Varlyario!
  5. Cool texturing on the sidewalk, and once again a great example of Varlyarian architecture!
  6. Nice vignette! I love the mosaic crests/ shields on the wall, and the curtains using those large purple slopes are really cool!
  7. Lovely build! I love the vibrant colors on the house and bridge, and the texturing of the street is next level!
  8. Superb shaping with the rockwork! Very cave -y with all the stalactites and stalagmites and glowing shrooms
  9. The architecture here is super vibrant and textured! Like a little slice of Itialian style architecture!
  10. Superb architecture! The buildings all look great, I especially like the detailing with the cheese mosaics on the wall and the stained glass on the side. The patterning on the floor is also great, and the figs are awesome (the guards are my favorites).
  11. Theres just heaps and heaps of great details here! The cutaway style builds like this are always really fun, and you nailed it for sure! Some of my favorite details are the rat tunnel, the spider webs using the spider man pieces, and the neat torch design! I also really like how you use the ladder piece to great effect, not many mocs I see make use of that part but it fits great here!
  12. Its great to see you back building for GoH again! This is an awesome build, I love all the buildings with the wide variety of unique designs for the roofs! You also have loads of those old Viking shields which you put to good use!
  13. Lovely large scale build! The ogre looks good, and appropriately ugly. I also really like the use of the shields to make the logo on the torsos. The only thing I would critique is that Mehdi's posing looks awkward with the axe, it's the first thing I noticed when looking at the build on flickr since it seems like an unnatural pose with the axe faced that way. Aside from that, awesome build! ( and far better than I can do at large scale )
  14. Really nice detailing on the walls! The lighting effect with the lantern is also really cool, as Kai pointed out. They don't seem to be too concerned with the rats in their tavern though
  15. Super cool coral reef! Tons of great colors and parts usage!
  16. Nice build! It’s a lovely cozy blacksmith shop, and I like your use of the large printed stone slope for the chimney. I have a bunch of those myself and haven’t really found a use for them yet.
  17. I already mentioned how awesome that fountain is, but the patterns and detail on the building are also great! I especially like how you did the archways, and as others have mentioned the forced perspective mirco scale is great!
  18. Lots of fun details and color packed in here, I especially like the rug!
  19. Nice to read the full story together! I also really like the build in the 3rd picture down, the texturing and detail is really nice!
  20. Awesome scene, especially with the element limit! I hadn't seen that new slope yet, but it looks like a super useful part! I will have to get some
  21. Gorgeous build! I especially love the dual colored trees, they capture autumn perfectly! The house is beautiful both inside and out, and I love the well design too!
  22. In the glorious city of Albion, the capital of Avalonia, there are many taverns and inns famous for their fantastic food and drink. This particular tavern is a popular hangout for Avalonian guardsmen and servers a large variety of ales and other spirits.\ I built this nearly a year ago now, but I was waiting to try and build a landscape to go with it ( which never happened), and I forgot that I hadn't posted it to GoH yet.
  23. Very nice work with the Varlyarian architecture, especially the little cheese slope mosaics in the courtyard!
  24. Thank you! Thanks guys! I had a lot of fun building the dragon! I'm glad you liked the portal too, it was a pain to position since the fire circle was pretty fragile and tended to fall apart when I tried to adjust it
