I went and reread the thread this is merged with...and I kept thinking two things while reading, people saying "who cares, there's bigger things/problems in the world". True, there is, but this is a site for AFOLs. We talk about all things related to LEGO. Second, and a biggie, is that it comes down to respect in my mind. TLG has asked(since the 80's it seems) that we, not only fans, but the general public who either looked at the catalogs or the website to call them/write them by a specific name. Why not oblige them? Do you not respect them enough to just disregard what they say? Now, if you're new to the hobby I can understand you not knowing better. Once you see it corrected as LEGO, can you not have enough courtesy to not type it as Lego/lego/legos?

I'm in the USA as well. Also, I don't say Oreos, Microsofts, or Nintendos, nor have I ever heard it said that way.

Sah-weet! I like the hill and the figs posing is great. Everything looks fantastic, the little bit of bones and the signal radar. And of course the T47 is different.

True. As a kid who watched the X-Men cartoon religiously, if someone told me we were getting Jean Grey, I'd be hoping for either her X-Men outfit, or her green Phoenix outfit. Had the Comic Con exclusive been the red outfit, would've made me feel a bit better. As a non book reader, I don't connect to the red suit as I do the green. I guess I'll just keep an eye on prices and hope for the best.

Awesome! I like the brick base you made for it, very cave-y. I Ike the wall o' suits(which ones not like others...). Very cool additions/changes.

I went and read your entire post now, and I have to say...you really wasted a lot of time and energy to type all this out. It definitely sounds like you're trying to start an argument. Why does it bother you that much that people want others to know the proper way to say the name? And don't say you don't, otherwise you wouldn't have started this thread.

That right there is reason enough to write/type it LEGO. If you have respect for the company you would oblige, or maybe that's just me. I wouldn't be a grammar nazi about it or anything, if someone who wasn't even into LEGO(or was new to the hobby and unaware of this) were to say legos, it wouldn't bother me. If they were the latter, I'd mention it to them though. Didn't see BrickGs comment. It doesn't matter if it's grammatically wrong, in the rulebook sense, it matters because TLG themselves said that is what they're name is. Why question someone when they tell you, basically directly, and you just ignore it?

I LOVE that third pic. I'm not a MOCer, but I can totally see a kick a** house sitting atop that baseplate.

As far as I've noticed, I don't have a problem. I haven't done any extensive look overs of any built display sets...maybe I should. I will keep my fingers crossed thatvthis doesn't happen. Fortunately for us AFOLs, TLG has the best customer service and is quick to get replacement parts out fast.

What in the...?! I know someone will be able to find it... I remember reading(and I'm sure I read it on LEGO.com) that they did IN FACT say it was to be printed all in caps and not plural.

I heard that black-Jar Jar Binks thing. I guess I'm just an ignorant white American, but I never saw it. I've never heard a black person speak like Jar Jar does, ever. Now, if by "black people" they mean Jamacian, I can kind of see that due to their accent. I don't know, it's stupid no matter what. Nitpicking stuff like this seen in movies is such a waste of time.

I never understood the stink people make about this. It's LEGO. Plain and simple. It's not Legos, LEGOs(unless with an apostrophe and speaking plural). Its just like any other company name. So yes, saying Legos is wrong. Now, I don't wash my eyes out whenever someone says it and I happen to read it. It's as simple as LEGO asking it's supporters to do. Edit: Err...always read a thread completely before you post... It's not about respect? How do you figure? If someone tells you their name is John, you don't call them Johns, you call them John. It's as simple as that. And nitpicking official names of colors, really...

Unbelievable! I love the painting and you recreated it brilliantly. The overall piece isn't as crisp as the original, but you definitely captured the charm that is Starry Night.

Wow, this went in an interesting direction. I think people need to quit over thinking movies and just enjoy them like they're meant to be(movies in general, not just SW). No matter what anyone does, says, create, whatever, there will ALWAYS be someone(s) who complain about it. I never understood all the nitpicking people do after they've seen a movie, why can't you just watch it and enjoy it.

This tank is killer! I like the streamlined design of it and the flush inclusion of that cannon is great! I didn't even notice it in the first photos.

The only real answer for army building: secondhand buys. It's really too bad TLG doesn't make 8014 BPs anymore, because I'd eat them up. I just keep my eyes on eBay.

Wooooow. Someone has WAY too much time on their hands. It's like the dude measuring and complaining about getting an 11 inch sandwich instead of a foot long at Subway. How does Jabba resemble, in any way, that of a terrorist?! And yeah, they're a few years too late on this bus. Honestly, ate people really THIS stupid? Unbelievable.
