  1. Well, I can tolerate just so much swearing, but I like Metallica's rendition of Star Spangled Banner.
  2. I have borked everything. Deal with it.
  3. DENMARK?! Y U no Finland? If you're gonna quote James May's review of the actual LaFerrari, what line would it be?
  4. The fact that someone DID MAKE the absolutely beautiful BAC Mono (not my words, Jeremy's) is enough for me.
  5. Click the link over there and get shocked, stunned, awed, mesmerized, stumped and thrown off your seats... because Steffi Germanotta sang a Sound of Music medley at the Oscars. And now I can't _______ stop playing it. Also, EVERYTHING IS AWESOME!!! Except not the actual prod, though there's LEGO Bats, so there's that going for it, which is nice.
  6. Not even Germany, hell, even Philippines (then again, there's no famous race driver from the Philippines that is at the caliber of, say, Robert Kubica). The Aussi flag deserves to be in there, what with Webber and Ricciardo.
  7. Good thing you applied the stickers on the white 911 RSR model, j2g. If done right, it should spell the beginning bit of Porsche Intelligent Performance when viewed up top. I am now convinced that this is the first set from the line that I will acquire, along with the LaFerrari. The way they shaped the doors to get the pumped quarters look that 911 GT3's are well-known, good livery choices (especially the white one), the fact that they repp'ed both the 997 (orange) and the 991 (white) types, the podium, even the figs...all winners for me. Though I'd modify the front bumpers, especially the white 991 RSR. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can you do a rear wing delete on both 911's? I feel that it's the true test for the model's accuracy. If they got the side profile bang-on without the wing, plus points!
  8. There's a woman over at Jalopnik (Kinja handle: $kaycog) who is a big fan of the Ford GT40 and Ford GT, melted when she saw the new one, and would highly appreciate this City-sized recreation of the Mk 1. And so am I!
  9. Loads of places. Even Brickset's database says 10248.
  10. You're right. Valentine's has passed and the main banner's still stuck in the Holidays. I'd like to see a Top Gear-themed banner, with sigfigs of EB members as part of the audience and Jim as the Admin in a Reasonably-Priced Car.
  11. The number code says Creator Expert, but I'm certain it will be twice as long as the Cooper at most and has two more studs in width at least, the F40. And would make the Mk7 Cooper look like it's the 2013 Mini, though I can't be so certain.
  12. It's what the Italians call him. And he went to Italy just for the LaF. Besides, we've gotten pretty far-off-topic for quite some time now. Don'tcha worry. Also, I've just re-read the TG Mag review of the Hybrid Hypercar Trifecta. And I'm gonna read it again.
  13. Also, Mr. Slowly's LaFerrari review on TG Telly coming tomorrow GAH! Well, I think it gets the silhouette and the defining exterior features, but I wanna see the P1 model with the wing off. Because look at that car with the wing not deployed. Is there any other Miss Universe contestant this year that is sexier than that? Well, I'd say ours, Miss Philippines, but that's because I'm Filipino and biased and you wouldn't like that.
  14. So let's tally two hits and one miss for this theme. All two hits were from Ferrari, while the lone miss right now is on McLaren. Where will Porsche be? To me, the bigger Porsche set (with the 911 racers) would be the winner, while I think the 918 is a 50/50 (it does the job, but it can use more curves).
  15. And they chucked this in favor of an EcoBlargh TT V6 for the new one?
  16. Huw just reviewed the P1... and frankly, he's right. It should have been 8-wide, with the black side part offset by half-a-stud deeper.
  17. After the brilliant UCS Mk7 Cooper, Lego suddenly turned the crank up to 55 and now we are eagerly waiting for the UCS Ferrari F40 to drop. It's a giant leap in terms of subject matter (478hp twin-turbo V8, 201 mph top speed, last Enzo-approved Ferrari) and shows that TLG can do what we want and wish them to do. But now it suddenly got me wishing for more supercars, as well as race cars, to be made in full-functioning UCS glory. I have two road cars and two race cars that I would love to see in the Creator Expert series, and would definitely buy if given all of the moolah. McLaren F1 [PF-ready rear wheel-drive, fake V12 with correct colored-internals (including the gold shield) driven by rear wheels turning, steering, accurate suspension set-up, and those doors.] Honda NSX-R GT [same functions and features as the F1, but without the gold shield and the way those door open. But they can NEVER! take away that roof scoop.] Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 [Accurate, working quattro drive (one PF L motor per axle with adder) to make the Inline-5 engine work, accurate rally suspension, steering, all those lights.] McLaren MP4/4 [Exclusive Ayrton Senna fig (set should be released either on anniversary of this car or on Senna's birthday), PF-ready RWD for the V6, suspension, steering.] I went overboard now, and I'm sure some of you would think that I've robbed you on answers, bu there are so many magnificent cars that will get lusted on in UCS, and you know many more, like the Williams FW14C or the Porsche 959. And I have a faint feeling that someone's gonna lock this topic up forever. Then again, though, TLG can go further than the F40, especially now that they have McLaren and Porsche's licenses. What will be next, however, remains to be seen. Could be the F1, though it's far too early to tell.
  18. Those white jets... they look surprisingly at home there, what with the contrast with the blacktop. I wanna look at those closer.
  19. Looks like enough road space for a 16-grid Formula SAE-esque race. Quite the development overall. I'd move in to that part of the City!
  20. I'm with you on all that. TLG has got to make a School, Tech Hub (which should be like Town Squares), and Auto Factory. Factories for Heroes?! Pizza?!
  21. Like what Meiko said, I have Ninja'd you.
  22. My notifications button is ready. Here I go. 21: 10 18: 6 43: 4 1: 3 5: 2 10: 1 TBH, I'd have scored two entries the same score - two entries per score!
  23. Don't say that if it's built to fit the globe thing. Oooooo-kay, maybe you would. I take it back.
  24. Hi guys! Well, after that particularly amazing review of the Scuderia Hauler set and discussion about the new fenders (better check the wheels on the truck, though), it's time again for pertinent but useless car reveals. Above is the Aston Martin Vantage GT3, which will fight the Porsche 911 GT3 with a 600-hp V12 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), lighter weight, center-lock wheels, and the fact that only Europeans and Asians will get this. Above is said V12 engine. Where's your pony now? Of course, this news won't matter until TLG gets licenses for both the road-going versions (One-77, V12 Vantage and/or DB9) and the Vantage GT3 race car, but at least you have something to expect or MOC with. Both cars may have just reverse-engineered the Porsche 911's headlights.Just a tip: The rear wing's endplates are attached to the rear fenders, and there's a piece of the back fin that holds the middle part of the wing. I imagine that the top-most plate forming the fin in your build has to go OVER the wing using a jumper setup.
