  1. Not only it's a green light (with all the rights to be) but I wouldn't stop Piterx from building this wonderful moc just because a shock absorber has been dismantled! Sometime it feels like people are trying every way to stop good builders when it comes to contest...jelousy maybe?? Go ahead as you are the best PiterX!!!
  2. True, but again I love the quality of the video and how it makes the car looking in a good shape overall! I'll never be that able at making video :cry_sad:
  3. Wow you video looks super cool!!! The 42039 it's just ok......but the video almost makes the car looking better!!!
  4. I dont't think that was the meaning.....I think he wants to use a motor to switch on/off the LEDs...... whenever he wants...so it's not continuosly/blinking.....simply it's a "function"....and the functions is to turn on or turn off the lights! In my opinion this meets the rules...but Jim has to decide!
  5. SOrry Jim but I'm always afraid on advertising stores/shops as I heard it's not legal .....I'm up for private messages if anyone is interested. Anyway At Smythtoys was 112£ and on top of it I had 12£ Voucher off....things like that! For us living in UK I would say that Smithtoys it's def the best when it comes to deals/sales!
  6. I got 2 sets for 105£ each......Tesco is definitely not the best deal at all  LOL you funny!
  7. I was thinking of having wheels in the front, and tracks in the rear! Of course RC. Or even better.....two axles in the rear...of course tracked....like if it's a 6X6 vehicle.....hope this makes sense!
  8. You should definitely give this car a body! I mean have a look at the 9398 and try to make a scale version of it.....the best it's always to start and ask for suggestion....to be honest I love it so far! It's cute! If you have other micro motors you can have lockable differential :)
  9. But 28th of Jan it's not too far! I mean I'm so excited as everybody...but the wait will be worth at the end! Bytheway whatever it will be I think the most important thing are the longer pneumatic cylinder! We've been waiting too long for the,....
  10. Thanks Jim. Said by you it makes me even more excited! My only fear at the moment it's the video.....it will not be super high quality as I'm not so good at filming! :( pictures will be high res bytheway!
  11. Dafgek as Pluto said this model it's huge! The Unimog looks small close to it...it counts at the moment 3200 parts more or less...but as you said it's all about saving money, buy from the right shops to save a bit aswell....so hope people will be able to build it and enjoy the huge playability of it! I'm testing the forks lifting capacity aswell....my goal it's to lift the LEGO Maersk! I have one built here...fingers are crossed!
  12. zblj if you use 2 XL for driving it counts like 1 function cos you will use only 1 output! I think you can do: 1 output for driving 1 output for steering 1 output for the gearbox 1 output for a middle differential lock! So it switches from 2wheel drive to 4wheel drive
  13. As Dafgek said this is the 4 functions version only....after the contest it will have 9 functions :) You mean because you haven't got all the pieces or because of the end of the contest is far away? I'll try to be ready with instructions soon after the end of the voting...
  14. Looking cool zblj!! Which and how many motors are you using for driving?? I know you love XL....and normally they are more than one LOL
  15. After the contest! this version it's only with 4 functions in order to meet the rules, after the contest I'll show you the full version, 8+1 functions! Soon I'll start with instructions....
  16. Thanks Zblj, I have enough yellows beams but somehow I do prefer the white one! Also because we don't see white Mocs so often as you said!! But in LDD I made some blue and red versions....they look amazing too! True, but there are 2 things to consider; the big La are part of the "big scale"....think of it...Unimog tyres..long wheel base....the model it's huge and the weight it's about 3.5 KGs ( 11 motors for the full functions version) The second reason is that at the moment they are all extended.....in MlCad I have the short version....so they look more appropriate! And the real pic has black ones...black is a color that makes eveything looking smaller!.....unfortunately in LEGO we only have mid grey La!
  17. Hello, here some screenshots from LDD. I'm synthesizing the wires on Lsynth at the moment in order to create better renderings and instructions later on! The model it's also built, but I'm waiting for a BO order to complete the body as I don't have all the white beams. So guys wait a bit more...soon I'll update you! I can post a pic of the built frame if you want! double weel on the front: total of 6 Unimog wheels, real wheels steering 45 degrees!!!!!!!! it has a 2 gears "swinging" gearbox remote controlled (not for this contest due to the 4 functions limitations), low gear for loading and unloading the load and high gear for when moving around. pendular real axle aswell. Also the rear wheel where steered by a linear actuator....at the moment this solution it's on a stand by cos I need to make few improvements. folding cabin on a side, 45/50 degrees like the real one. The steering wheel in the cabin works while the rear wheel are steered the all body can be disassembled, plus the are side panels can be opened to inspection the engine (like the real one) The forks can be extended (inboard or outboard, but this function won't be shown for this contest)
  18. Paul thanks for the infos. You are get all of us very excited!!! Do you know when will we get some official pics?
  19. Normally I don't, but this year looks like 42038 and 42039 have better B models than A ones..... I think back in the days ( 90s ) B models where more cool, they weren't simply a B model...they where more "buy a set and chose which on them to build first". Some sets had 4 models.....like 8042...
  20. I had the same feeling!! Peterx it's one of the best and for sure my favorite designer when it comes to cars!!!!! Can't wait aswell......this looks so promising!
  21. Already in love with it! Efferman will you use the chains for lifting the forks or ropes?
  22. erm..no thanks! Let me explain....it's the same machine....sure....but mine it's a bit more detailed, and better done. Once you will see you will understand. No hard feelings my friend.....it's just that 25 years of design Mocs has it's weight at the end of the day
  23. I understand what you mean about get more complicated......but some people like me wants to push it to the limit and create an epic model. Anyway, I'll use only 2 IR/ 1 Sbrick for the entry.....but I'll keep the other functions just as aesthetic (for istance La actuator for expanding the forks will be there but not connected to any motor or output...) This should be fine.
  24. Sorry Jim but if it's a Sbrick(s) contest why there should be a limit on the number of Sbricks used? Anyway.....can I use 4 IR/ 2 sbricks or not? this still not clear to me....sorry.
  25. Efferman great choice!! I always wanted to build one of this..... Hopefully will turn into something epic as usual...love your creations!
