  1. That's not a problem since I can simply not use the others 4 functions. Basically the model has 8 functions, I'll only show and use 4 of them....does it make sense? To be honest that rule of the "gearbox" it's something I don't find fair simply cos I could use 10 gearboxes and create infinite functions Anyway.....In the video I will only show driving, steering, bending the forks and lifting the forks......is this ok? P.S. all I can do is to remove 4 functions to entry the contest, after the contest Ill create a topic showing the "normal" version of it..... this should be ok!
  2. Hello, my entry for the TC6 contest it's a heavy forklift truck, the Hyster 32-12. The model has 8 functions (4 IR or 2 sBricks), it's 50% built at the moment and nearly completed on LDD/MLcad. Soon I'll put updates (photos, video, notes) Here a pic of what an Hyster 32-12 is: Thanks, and hold on for news. Video:
  3. ok Jim is in right even if somehow we like to argue! Talking about the moc itself, what I don't like it's the middle section of the boom! Normally the 944 has 3 sections, yours looks like has 4.....this is what I would fix eventually to improve it!
  4. you can try with worm gears! But the longest you can go is 32 studs.......fill up a 32 studs axle with worm gears and power it! on the carriage put any gear you want and "fix" it....that will make it move. Othersiwe you can use the 8043 tracks to create a chain!
  5. Maybe chains? you can create a double floor....where under there are chains and chainslink to connect to the carriage....
  6. What a kid you are....grow up and get some skills....
  7. First of all can you tell me when and where did I say I don't like it??? You guys are just inventing words to defend yourself or what? Second of all, I believe that LEGO it's about "our own" interpretation of what real vehicles are. Therefore when we design them we give them a personality, which should be different from each of us. Now look at the upper structure, from above the tracks..specially the cabin and the main body of these 2 models: it's just by chance that every single brick it's exactly the same? in the same positions? in the same number? All the details are made out of the same brick.... And just changing a bit the boom doesn't make it a MOC....it's rather a MOD of a MOC. I don't understand what's the point of defending this dude...if he is happy to do so he can go ahead....but I have the right to say that to me it looks like a copy of M_longer... .
  8. there's none so blind as those who will not see..... If M longer is happy I'm happy too!
  9. I'm not looking for better things, I'm looking for different ones. Something you don't get probably...it's not a competition. have a good day....
  10. Ok I made myself a quick research......looks like my iPad doesn't support Low energy bluetooth....but my iMac27 late2013 has a 4.0 Bluetooth.....it's that right?? It's the 4.0 version compatible with Sbrick? This means I'll control my mocs with my iMac
  11. Thanks to put pictures in order to confirm what I did say. Keep laughing then....
  12. Guys I have a question: as I'm planning to use 2 Sbrick and having 8 functions it would be better to use an Ipad rather than Iphone.....cos with a bigger screen it's easier to control oll the functions! Now....is it possible to control Sbrick with Ipad 2nd generation? Ipad 3rd generation??
  13. Great start!! Can i suggest you only one thing? I would move the attaching point of the LA a bit farer..at the moment it's in the middle of the boom more or less....if you move it 1 or 2 studs closer to the end of the boom it will have more lever-torque, and the boom won't erase too high....which will look more realistic! But anyway looks very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. not a big deal as you will anyway use 2 motors, 2 IR/sbrick slots, and 1 remote control....so it's clearly defined as 2 functions itself. Let's see is as "one motor powers a track therefore it's a function, the other motor powers the other track so therefor it's another function!"
  15. true...but it still works anyway using the extended wire...so we will be fine
  16. Perfect!!! What about that thing "animal and technic"? BTW this is gonna be the most epic contest ever!!!! And this time I'm ready for it!!
  17. probably it's ok to specify we necessary need minimum 4 functions to enter the contest, but not necessary only 4 motors...we can have 5, 6 or more and more.. Jim let me make an example so probably this can help everybody: A car, with 2 motors connected to a differential, so it's not each motor for each wheel....but it's 2 motors that together provide driving function.
  18. Thanks Jim. Indeed you will need to update rules as we will make more questions . So I have 2 motors that power 1 function .....as Likpo said....can you confirm we are ok?
  19. Ok super cool, questions: -if I'm not wrong we can use as many pieces as we want...right? -I started to build a moc last month...never showed to anybody....can I use that one as starting base for this contest? of course I will have to adapt the Sbricks now. Can we get a 3D model of the Sbrick eventually we want to integrate it in a LDD/Mlcad file?
  20. It's definitely true that kids won't be able to plug them, I did struggle myself...too tight but there is a postive side: they hold in place under pressure! back in the days I remember sets like 8460 the pneumatic hoses used to pop out from the valves due to the high pressure.
  21. when you will put the body on that frame it will for sure kiss and lick the table
  22. You are not convincing at all   that frame needs more work!
  23. I've just seen it.... :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: :cry_sad: How can I wait till the end of january????
  24. whatever it is...make sure the frame doens't bend! At the moment it's nearly kissing the table
