  1. The cutaway images are my favourite ones!!! Blackbird thanks for sharing them with us.....you deserve a medal!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Guys what about the B sets? any pics so far?
  3. LOL unless you are italian and keep driving as if you were in italy.....as I do sometimes
  4. a comment said "no color changes" and I was confused, i'm just asking! "if you think the colours appeal the one who will vote for your entry, then do it" sounds more like an opinion rather than a rule!
  5. I just want to make sure I respect all the rules! A better answer would help other partecipants!
  6. Thanks to TLG, but specially thanks to JIM. JIM you are a great person!!!!!!! Now, can I use a set with green parts + a set with red parts? is that ok?
  7. Off course they would not! but if you create I nice linkage and connect it with rubber bands you can come very close to. Plus, who said we necessary need to imitate or come closer to those "inverted springs"?? According to your way of thinking we shoudl use real OHLINS shock absorber in our mocs...just because they are the best in world! I think we should take the challange of building what we can with what we have....... otherwise imagine if a RC model maker uses some LEGO parts in his world. LEGO is LEGO, then there is the rest....why do we mix them? No hard feelings my friends..
  8. I don't know if it helps or makes you feel better....but I like how you build stuff...and appreciate them a lot!
  9. I assume you didn't read Sariel's words then! Originally the springs were designed to work as a normal compressed springs, but as they don't do their job well, Sariel had to invert them and use them as "extended springs". It's just a casuality, plus you can really use elastic bands if you want to! happy days...
  10. I would say "nothing that normal lego parts couldn't do" Sariel, you should use that heavy dute diff in a proper heavy duty vehicle... Sorry I'm a purist..
  11. a storage would cost you 15 bucks probably
  12. true, but don't forget that he was an alcoholic at first place.... At least your friend has done lots of successfull thing as you said, this D-Drive invention hasn't.
  13. i really respect the "inventor", but honestly....he spent 20 years of is life around this "non exactly working neither innovating" thing..... He could have travelled the world for 20 with half of the money probably
  14. the concept it's the same of course..but the difference it's in the "non use" of any belt, clutch, or engaging gears. Normal CVT transmissions use the "belt" concept but it generates frictions. Anyway....this "invention" doesn't look that rivolutionary.....
  15. try this simple test: connect 2 lego motors to the outputs of a bevel differential. one of the motor is wired via inverter switch..now turn them on and simply playing with the switch you will obtain a similar effect.....as in the video! basically you will slow down or accelerate (infinite variations) the differential inoput (that in this case is an output) simply buy turning off/on one of the motor! this happens not cos of the speed of the motors, but cos of the ration between them! :)
  16. it's more an "open differential", But looks like there is a big problem there: the motor that controls the shafts must have the same power of the input!! Correct if I'm wrong...
  17. Something like Blackbird's collection??
  18. A question: by importing the LDD file in BL there is a possibility that other people can see it and download it? Cos obviously some people wants to keep the file and not share it..
  19. Such a shame you missed the deadline....this would have been on my top 3, and of many others aswell! Everything looks brilliant! My compliments!
  20. well....in your opinion! In my opinion the 42000 looks much better without stickers... But bytheway I never apply stickers on....
  21. It's actually 3 mLA....I was surprised!
  22. Or buy a different software   I was tempeted to import the lego library into Catia V5 and see how it works... (sorry for the off topic)
  23. I haven't, but I do use 3D mouse at work for other professional modelling softwares. Experience says that they help, whether software you use. Now as I said I'm a professional modeller aswell, but I don;t see it would change a lot if used with LDD due to the simplicity of the software itself! Hope it does make sense...
