The don't appela to me, One can say "oh those beams looks similar" but the final resault of the models it's just far away from Lego models, and aswell far away from any RC scale model...it's weird cos it's in the middle. I can either stick to "white" or "black"......but "grey" it's no my world.- 14 replies

Guys can I say something while looking at those pics?? One day our kids will say "oh the lego 42029 it's much better than what we have today".....and this talking about the future! SO it's always the case...those onld sets remind my childhood so we tend to see them with different eyes cm'on!! Don't get me wrong....I had and I loved the 8858...but the 42029 it's not bad at all! Actually I enjoyed the buildings phase so muuchhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

I know you will tell me off...but can I say something? I quite like your dragline but I believe it needs more and more work. I would spend time on it rather than making another proposal.

This is exaclty where you are wrong and you just confirm it: "The parts set the limit"...true.....therfore more parts would solve all those issues about outriggers and boom! I think the problem is that TLG wants to make a 2000 parts crane that normally should require al least 3000. Can you imagine TLG doing a motorbike like 42007 using 2000 parts???? NO. so that's why for the same reason I don't see the point of making a big crane using only 2000....

Well there are people buying 41999 for 700$ when it's a carry over of the 9398, and there was the Millemnium falcon with 5,000 parts. Now don,t get me wrong, I do love the 41999, but I bet a 3,500 parts technic set full motorized with suspensions, air pump and Pneumatics would be easily done and sold! Then if they want to limit it at 20.000 copies even better!

I wouldn't be susprised if GoPro starts to make bendable phones now  Anyway.....I'm not supporting Apple on that! The only good product they have in my opinion is the iMac.

Ok, I think I'll show you guys a first example...and then everybody can follow me! Plus we will have (hopefully) a common project in which everybody has a role. It's a bit different than "everybody will do a bit of the model"....i think will be amazing and people will get involved!! But please wait as I'm writing down on my agenda some notes for this idea!! I'll be abck to you guys soon!! -

Ohhh sweet!!! Ok Jim listen....I think we can create a sort of design excercise and propose it to TLG! I already have an idea on how to structure it...and this could lead to a new non-official LEGO line. Stay tuned guys...give me a bit of time! SOrry for the OT bytheway! -
Funny how (not in the case of this car as I work for another car maker) we try to replicate real cars using LEGO, where my real job is to design real cars! I'm a real car designer....but I've never tried to make one of the cars I've designed! I should give it a try! Can't wait to see your resault..it will be amazing as usual!!

Mine will have instructions...but only after the end of the voting.......does it make you happy??

And probably there is a bit more work on the rear end...but I understand it's hard to reproduces the real shapes.....I had the same problem!! Thanks for sharing.....cool entry!! p.s. So far in thei contest we have 3 fork lift.....and all of them different! This is amazing.....so excited!!!!!

[TC6] Citroën Activa
TheItalianBrick replied to 5imon's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I know but I was thinking that somehow to use the normal remote controls it's a bonus as most of people has these ones...not the adjustable ones...so what about if someone wants to build this car after the contest? Lol- 31 replies

TheItalianBrick replied to 5imon's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
using a servo for the adjustable riding height means to drive the car holding one of the remote control stick (not the adjustable ones) in order to keep one of the 3 position....right? so why not using an M motor so it can have different heights?- 31 replies

This looks interesting and cool!! My TC6 it's a Hyster 32-12....check it out on here if you want! I the mast looks a bit "messy" but I understand why! Why don't you try to use 2 linear actuators....one on top of the other one? Which tires are you going to use?
