AOW replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello Blakbird, please tell us if you and when you would be updating this part of your spectacular webpage: http://www.technicop...ndamentals.html Regards -
impressive in deed , Jim excelent review ! off the record, have you noticed that the fake engine has been increased on speed ? We have gear z24 driving the z8 - this will speed up the pistons movement inside the engine. Lately I noticed that most of Technic models with fake engines had low speed "engines" where the sets from pre-studless era always were high rotation ones. Examples: Low speed 42037 42022 42029 9395 High Speed: 8868 8840 8850 8859 Still the fact is that this is probably the most top of the top set in last decade or even more ... Regards

[MOC / MOD] Buggy Car - Model C 42035
AOW replied to AOW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you, later on I will add the picture of the parts that remained - quite a few :)Regards -
Hello All I would like to present you my first MOC which is actually a MOD that has been build using only parts from the set 42035. For some time I wanted to start building using stud-less technique, as all my Lego Technic experience was based on the old sets. Since I returned from the Dark Age I really wanted to get myself convinced to the new Lego Technic set. My first set after getting out of darkness was the 8840 and as I like this one very much I decided to build something similar. Here are the results of this: This little Buggy Car has some basic functions (manually) such as steering, fake engine, role-cage protector, headlights, safety seat. The fake engine (air-cooler) is driven from single wheel and to transmit the tractions from “wheels” uses two gears z16 Engine has escape and filter as well: Steering takes place in a simple way (similar to 8840) and as a steering wheel we have gear z20 Here is the gallery: 42035-Model-C This is how my Model C looks compared to the „original” Buggy 8840 Thank you and regards

In the 8277 I am not sure which on those models are most ugly, I think all especially the "Cat" allan -> this does not count, even as it is so ugly that eyes are in pain just from loocking at it The B model of 42000 upss.. "thay's one ugly n,f, " :) cheers Edit: - My selection Studded sets: Model B from 8853 - dam it is ugly Model B from 8838 - it is not the most pretty one as well - they could add Model Team wheel to the set.... Model A from 8446 - well not sure what that is... Studless: Model B from 42008 - looks like it is incomplete

Dear all, As the faerie tale used to quote: “…Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the Ugliest of them all ...” Which from the official Lego Technic sets do you consider to be the ugliest? Please provide your feedback for both Model A and B as well. I am quite interested in this – we could separate them in to two categories: Studded and Studless

[WIP] Lancia Stratos
AOW replied to piterx's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well Stratos will never look as Ferrari - they only shared their engines :) :) Returnig to your MOC, looks great and the speed and handleling are awsome ! Just small point of view - can you offset the rear wheels ? They look like they are pushed to far inside the chassis. If you look at the original Stratos - you will notice that they even are coming our side of the main body - and protectors were created to "capture" them in the overall chassis :) Regards -

Technic 2H2014 Reviews
AOW replied to Sariel's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Sariel, it was worth to wait for your video review - Thanks (Dzięki) -
CONTEST SPECIFIC RULES AND REGULATIONS Maximum of 200 parts. 199 or less is okay, 200 is okay, 201 is NOT okay. Every part counts (mini turntable is two parts, just like in a real set) Only official LEGO parts. Ropes/Strings, rubber bands and pneumatic tubing should be official LEGO parts.

[WIP] Mystery Car
AOW replied to VKTechnic's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I noticed that 90% of Moc with Fake Engine are made in combination of V8 .... ok looks nice, sounds powerful but do all MOCs have to have the V8 ? I am currently thinking of creating MOD of 8865 - using parts till 1994 - engine most likely will be R5 with supercharger (not turbo) -

Pin, axel, - color - retoric question

Pin, axel, - color - retoric question
AOW replied to AOW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
ok, no problem , now I noticed that the picture of each pin is not accurate with the date line as it should be concider the point where the line begins stronger :) For example : technic pin 3/4 (32002) from the picture looks like was introduced in 1987 when actually was "born" in 1995... so now it is clear to me :) Thanks for pointing it out :)Regards -
Pin, axel, - color - retoric question

Pin, axel, - color - retoric question
AOW replied to AOW's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
thank you both Jim and Hrafn now it is starting to make sense for me Best regards -
Hello all, I was wondering if there is any kind of difference between pins and axles that is related to their color. I remember in old days that pins black and grey they actually were different. Since the introduction of modern technic parts I noticed that there are a lot of variation in color of the same items - but is there really a diffrence ? Example - in old days all axel were in black, now they come in gray, black, red ... Pins - old black - now are in blue as well, etc... Thank you and regards Olaf
-
impressive :) I wonder if this is possible with 80-90s technic parts only. One question that I have, how it is working in real without the differential? You gave me an idea which I will try to test, thanks. regards
