42056 - Porsche Speculation
AOW replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Lipko - that is correct there was not many of realism in it ;) but still that is the "bar" that has set for all the ones that came after it. As nicjasno said I too would like to see new parts that would be more ore less realistic - such as : McPherson or New hubs for FWD and AWD. I really hope that 42056 will set new level of Lego's SuperCars. regards -

nicjasno : in fact it will have hard and limited suspension travel and I am wondering on something. Take a close look at the picture above - how "deep" the suspension will go down as it will almost immediately hit the ground... -
[WIP] Lancia Stratos 1:8 Scale
AOW replied to JamesJT's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
aaaa Stratos , the best sounding rally car ever ! Keep it going the build. Only thing that looks not nice is the front, as in real Lancia it looks wider then back but I know that it could be hard to achieve -
Audi S1 Quattro by dokludi
AOW replied to dokludi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
For those who are "addicted" to Rally and especially to B Group cars, they will find this MOC spectacular. The Audi S1 Quattro is a legend and has been build by you perfectly - I almost hear the turbo blow off valve making that characteristically noise :) For one end it is petty that this model of yours is not motorized but for other it is such a fascinated "toy" that it does not need PF. Well done my congratulations :) Will you build other B Group monsters ? :) Regards -

Comparing 8070 to 42056 is like comparing 8865 with 8880 IMO :) I really do not know why people are not so kind with 8070, question here to owners of 8880 or 8448 or even 8865 how many times did you change gears while "playing" with it? About 42056 this set is really a big step forward... ! Really looking for more informations about it. Regards -

AOW replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Cumulonimbus remember that is it Boxer 6 not flat V-6 (180 degrease) engine. The Ferrarri Testarossa had V-12(flat 180) :)So probably the engine will take more space :) -

AOW replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
yes they are as one of the cylinder"head" can be seen on the high definition video posted few pages back where I mentioned to focus at 0:37s of that video. Take note that this Porsche has B6 engine (B=boxer) and thus combination takes more space (horizontal) than V-6 or R-6. -

AOW replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
tgrbailey my 3 years old son also looks forward for that Volvo :) :) and this is the set that I am looking for too Maybe there will be some better picture of the back of the box which will show us more details :) I really hope it will be as 8049 where you could "motorize" pneumatics with PF as mini-pump was included in the set. -

really I cannot understand why the person who shot that picture did not took the whole box.... -

It is a petty that we do not see the full picture of the back of the box - that would clear most speculations - or is there somewhere a picture? -
42056 - Porsche Speculation
AOW replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I still think that is will be all manual controlled ... :( unless there is PF included then it can be as 8070 (doors, spoiler, hood etc..) hope not to and I want to be wrong here.... -
42056 - Porsche Speculation
AOW replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
From all the pictures that have been seen, whit all possible details are "telling" me that it will "manual-driven" set ... no PF included, which I think is a bit sad and disappointed - unless we see the picoted of what is under the booth,"engine compartment" -

This is defenetly my type and I want it !! I wonder what the PF will do ? Perhalps there is a mini-pump to be motorized in the set ? Like back in 8049 ? I think the wheels are bad as .... they should add different one too :)
