Nice bus model, is it based off any real-world bus?

I am sure LEGO will come up with something good, remember, if they come up with a piece of crap model, Universal (as owners of the Back To The Future franchise) will reject it.

Nice use of the boxing gloves for Beast.

Its actually not that bad on value compared to the US (only a 50% markup vs the US compared to the 100% or more markup we have seen on other sets like the Hulk Hellicarrier set) Then again, maybe its crappy value in the US to begin with...

I hope this set comes with minifigs of Doc and Marty (and with the various dogs they have now from various themes maybe they can even find a way to fit Einstein in there)

I suspect at least one of those 2 is a Toys R Us exclusive.

I cant think why but for some reason I swear I have seen the shirt the person is wearing in that picture of the interior of the boat set somewhere before (as a shirt, as a minifig/minidoll torso or as an image in an instruction booklet)

The thing sticking out above the roof bricks and next to the tile edge looks like the top end of the new-for-2013 Friends guitar piece. You can see the spots for the tuning pegs. And is that a telescope I see on the top floor? Neat that we get a Friends fig with glasses. Whats the brown thing in the upper floor window next to the telescope?

I do love the octan transport, good parts selection. What new piece are people seeing in the F1 transporter?

Does that sports car include yet another new handbag mold? Thats, what, 4 different handbag types made for the Friends line so far?

I like that LEGO is giving us some nice new parts and that they are spending less on one-time-only parts (and big junorised parts) and more on parts that have generic uses. Although parts like http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=11650c01 seem like a step backwards...

There is a Cuusoo project for an Architecture Tower of Pisa that not only looks better than that piece of crap but could probably be done at the same price point.

MYER Perth CBD now has all the fire sets excpet the helicopter. Just came in today aparently.

It makes sense for LEGO to do it this way (with the ear clip being a separate piece) as its a fair bit cheaper than making the part out of multiple colors of ABS or making it in one color then printing on it in another color.

Great use of the squirrels and great MOC.

The base of the set seems to be made up of various combinations of 8x 16 and 16 x 16 plates (much like the last few Creator houses)

LEGO please make the 1 x 2 x 3 window glass in trans-light-blue. With the 1 x 4 x 3 glass now being made in that color (in the new fire station set), the 1 x 2 x 3 is the only size of glass that does not come in trans-light-blue and it would be nice to have it in that color.

A MYER 20% off sale would be perfect right about now :) Also do we know if any City 2013 sets will be retail exclusives other than the Helicopter Arrest? (which is a TRU exclusive from what I have heard)

Someone who works at TRU in Australia reported on another forum that they are getting "X-Wing 10240" with no further details except a list price in their system of AU$279.99 and a possibility that its a TRU exclusive.

I am liking some of these more and more now. The coast guard helicopter is very good (much better than the last one) and I am liking the tilt-rotor design too. Not sold on any of the other sets (the airplane is interesting but there is not much you can do with it except make a cargo plane) but like anything I will need to see more pictures (and parts inventories) before making final decisions

Is it just me or is that boat using pirate hull pieces?

Nothing new observed at MYER Perth CBD. David Jones Perth CBD has no 2013 stock at all (plenty of 2012 product though) Nothing spotted at Target Perth CBD or Target Armadale. Nothing at K-Mart or Toyworld Armadale either. Big W Armadale on the other hand has Creator and Star Wars (including the Rancor Pit) plus the fire boat and fire motorbike. No sign of the fire station, fire chief car, burning house or fire helicopter in WA yet :(
