This has to be the best looking Technic motorbike I have EVER seen.

No new City at either Pacific Fair or Southport Park Target for the 20%+3for2 deal. They did however have a large number of the Octan tanker truck set if anyone wants that along with a few of the tiny motorbike sets of various sorts. Anyone have any clue about stock levels at Hellensvale, Runaway Bay or Robina (is it worth making the trek out to one of those 3 tomorrow to try and take advantage of the best LEGO sale in Aussie history?)

Why do people insist on putting image files (either one file or a slideshow) on YouTube instead of Flickr or some other image hosting site?

Maybe the crystals are some sort of ice samples being used for research... :)

I suspect we keep getting the same Spider-Man because all of the Spider-Man sets are tied to the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and that cartoon only has one style for Spidey. (I suspect it was Marvel that made the decision, not LEGO since it seems that Marvel wants to promote Ultimate Spider-Man rather than other versions of Spidey.)

Why must target have close to the best LEGO deals (the 20% off City plus b2g1) I have ever seen at exactly the one time I shouldn't be buying more LEGO. (anyone who has ever had to buy a full apartment worth of furniture and appliances will know what I am talking about) That and I dont know of any Target stores on the gold coast that actually have the new City stock available.

Picked up a cop, a Hawaiian shirt guy and a coffee guy under the 3-for-2 at Pacific Fair today, they had the business end of 2 boxes of figs strewn all over the table.

Looking at the picture you can clearly see some "no photos" signs.

Buy 2 get one free sale reported at MYER until Monday. Tempted by the movie figs but not sure if I can afford any LEGO right now (since I may well have to spend a chunk of change on white goods, furniture and other things depending on what apartment I end up moving into and if its furnished or unfurnished). That and the nearest MYER stores are at Pacific Fair, Robina or Loganholme and there is no gaurantee they even have stock. In other news, K-Mart at Australia Fair has no movie figs left (just an empty box) and no haunted houses either. They did however have most of the January stuff including the new Friends animals and Friends sets, the new police station and the new police mobile truck command post thing. The police truck is actually not as expensive as I thought it would be, at least at K-Mart prices (and not as expensive as the last few similar truck sets) Nothing at Mr Toys of note. Also if you can find a Target that still has stock, someone reported that they have discounted the Monster Fighters ghost train all the way down to $40 (from a $120 RRP). Thats 1/3rd the AU RRP and below any online price I can spot (including Bricklink). Excellent price if you are looking for parts (e.g. the large train wheels or the ghosts).

My accessory wishlist: A detailed ball-pein hammer or claw hammer along the lines of the lumberjack axe A hand saw Other hand tools (especially those a carpenter might use) Drums suitable for use in a marching band Cricket Bat (we have hockey sticks, baseball bats, tennis racquets, skis, snowboards, surfboards, skateboards and more but not a cricket bat) Paintbrush (the house painting kind, not the artist kind) Medical/Fire/Rescue tools (there just isn't enough variety in what we have now, especially in the medical area, the Friends medical items are in the wrong color and slightly too big for minifigs) Better looking generic smartphone (the pink MP3 player from Friends, the medium azure phone from the more recent Friends sets and the phone from the trendsetter figure are nice but too girly for my needs) Cane/walking stick New walkie-talkie (just like many other accessories new to the CMF theme, this one could be done better than the old one) Friends electric guitar in a color better suited for Hard Rock/Metal (e.g. black with some printing)

Of the list of princesses, the ones I would most like to see in a set would be Jasmine and Snow White.

Personally I would love to see the cow in black, would be a nice color to have.

We may not get any sets for Age of Ultron or Ant Man, it all depends on which films (and TV series/cartoons) LEGO (and Marvel) decide to promote. That said, I wish LEGO would stop making so many Spiderman sets. We need Marvel Cinematic Universe, X-Men and Fantastic 4 sets, not more Spiderman.

One problem I think DC have is how to do Wonder Woman on film. Hollywood seems to have this idea as of late that all female superheroes have to be hot babes ala Tomb Raider yet that wouldn't fit with what Wonder Woman is supposed to be from the comics.

I suspect any k-mart stores with HH stock left probably have them at the clearance price, even if it isn't mentioned on the shelf. Scan it with the price scanner to be sure.

If only I could find a Target here on the GC with the new City in stock (and if only I had some money... :)

Spotted a few new things at the K-Mart in Australia Fair today, they had the new Friends animals (Tiger etc), some of the Junior sets and a few of the police sets (prisoner van, cop car with the 2 dirt bikes). No sign of the lighting repair truck, police station, big police truck or any CMFs (Lego Movie or otherwise). Didn't see any other friends sets either but I wasn't looking that hard (mostly killing time before my 9am meeting)

I suspect the police helicopter and dog unit sets are retailer exclusives. One is likely Toys R Us going by past form.

I for one would like it if Starwars disappeared and something non-licensed and cheaper (or licensed and better) came along.

The other fact with the ship is the recent Captain Phillips movie which may have made some people interested in ships.

I have one dk grey old style from my RIS set, at least one (maybe more) old style from loose purchases (all dk grey as far as I can remember) and a bunch of the new orange ones (none of the new ones in green though). My collection is in boxes right now so I cant check for sure :) And yes they can be quite useful :)

Regarding monorail, there are 3 different issues. The first is whether they will ever produce the old monorail parts again (the answer is no). The second is whether they would ever produce new monorail track parts of a new design (the answer is likely no because of the high cost). And the third is whether they would accept/make (as a Cuusoo set) a monorail set using brick-built track. (the answer on that would seem to be "we wont know until one hits 10k and passes or fails review")

Ended up with the city race car and the mini creator excavator set in the MYER sale, I would have bought 2 at the $15.95 price of the Race Car but they didn't have anything at either Robina or Pacific Fair at that price point that I wanted (if they had had the lighting repair truck, I would have bought that plus the race car but they didn't) So far I have yet to see any Movie CMFs, the light repair truck, the police sets (except the bike) or the creator cat/quad bike/mountain hut sets anywhere on the coast.

It might be that the last level crossing didn't sell well enough to make another set viable.
