double points!... Finally got my Slave I, and some redundant sets - Carbon freezing chamber (basically for the ugnaught), Droid escape pod (I already have sandcrawler - wanted more jawas and the cool death star plans piece) and the Hoth set (will become redundant when I pick up the UCS Hoth). And the little Snap Wexley set. Also Bricklinked the most recent Hoth Leia and Bacta Luke and General Reeikan in preparation. This hobby would be easier if I wasn't such a completist.

I'm really glad to see this continue on. Keep up the fantastic work.

What kind of miracle would it take for them to make a Witch-king pack for Dimensions? Or Eowyn? They have to realize that a lot of people would be interested in that sort of thing. I have been angry for a long time that we never got those two prominent characters and yet we have the freaking Mouth of Sauron who appears and dies within the same 2-minute scene. I think maybe in their minds they gave us a witch-king in the Hobbit but that ghost version is nowhere near as awesome as the ROTK version.

On a positive note, it looks to me like the first Major Derlin minifig to have the correct torso pattern.

I guess 75138 is totally redundant now except for Han's hood piece. And the probe droid I suppose.
-
I would trade some of those Hoth Base minifigs out for a tauntaun or two. edited to add: I also hope the Han is not identical to the one we're already getting in Hoth Attack. I'd prefer the version without the parka.

Beautiful work, I must say. Thanks for keeping Lego LOTR alive and vibrant. I like the look of the trees.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
nymmerod replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I peroxide-bleached several Kenner Stormtroopers with this yellowing issue about 5 years ago. Some of them were so yellowed that they were unable to be fully restored to white but they definitely look several shades whiter. And there was no discernible effect to the black painted details. But I've never tried it on Lego elements. -
When I visit that link it just shows me the PS3, PS4 and XBOne versions as being "premium" and if I click on Wii U it shows the "standard" edition with no minifig.
-
Sorry, a little late to the party on this.... the Finn (FN-2187) polybag promo can only be obtained with the Deluxe version of the video game - which is only available with PS4 and XBOne. Correct? I'm not seeing that minifigure bundled with the Wii U version or any other platforms yet. If true, I guess I'm not getting one.

I believe we got our first vague reports of TFA sets around Valentine's day last year. No set names just price for each set and a vague description like "hero vehicle".

beautifully done sir! i'd like to play with that MOC.

I think he was just discussing old LOTR MOCs made by TLG designers in the 80's not actual prototypes with intent to release something.

[MOC] Imperial Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels
nymmerod replied to DarthTwoShedsJackson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Awesome. Truly nice work here. I love this vehicle. Takes me back to my Kenner childhood. -
I couldn't agree more with this list. I can't believe that Walrus Man (Ponda Baba) didn't make it into that recent cantina set. And Dr Evazan, who is quite prominent in that scene, always seems to get overlooked in the toy world. Bring on the Kenner stuff.

Speaking of availability... Went to my local brick & mortar Lego Store at open on Jan. 1st with intentions of picking up the new sets. To my dismay, there was an enormous line of people waiting to get into the store. By the time I got in there, the Star Wars section was totally empty. It was extremely frustrating to see several people at the checkout holding 3 copies of each new set. I wish the store had set a limit of one of each per customer. I've not been able to find them at B&N, Target or Walmart either yet. So if you're in Utah like me, it'll probably be best to order these sets from S@H for now. And if you're looking for that FO battle pack, 75132, good luck. Nobody has it in stock. I'm sort of new to this aspect of the hobby, is it normally this difficult to get sets the week they are released? I guess I usually buy these things slowly over time instead of trying to get them right away.

My Lego Store in Utah didn't have any of set 10188 on Xmas Eve. Seems like I haven't seen that set for a while actually. The ONLY Star Wars set on the shelf was the UCS Sandcrawler, which I finally picked up and is probably my favorite Lego set ever.

[MOC] Updated Black Falcon's Fortress!
nymmerod replied to Sigolf Brimabane's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Please do update with photos. I like the redesign. This was my first Lego set and I've always loved it. It looks great with a more modern technique. -
love it. recapturing a shot from the film, framed in the same way is a seriously challenging task. bravo.
-
Awesome detective work. I've seen that movie a hundred times and never once noticed that vehicle. Also a great design.
