  1. Nice work as always!! Thanks for adding to my BL shopping list!
  2. Speechless. You've really raised the bar with this one.
  3. Thanks friend. I actually had to dismantle this MOC when I moved recently and couldn't store it easily without totally breaking it down. I basically had no home for a few months. Now that I'm settled, reconstruction is on my to-do list. I've since acquired more parts to continue the build and more ideas to improve some of what I already did. Unfortunately, I didn't capture any photos of the rear hall and the garden I made outside the rear door just before my move. I'll have to find some time to get building again.
  4. I think that the current 75105 version is the best (non-UCS) representation of the Falcon that TLG has ever made, in both color and shape. I love it. I'm trying to figure out how to hang mine from the ceiling. The previous one was a little too monotone for my taste but the light grey just looks right to me. A lot of discussion has been made about white but I just don't see it. The ship is filthy and TLG white is too pristine.
  5. after some hours of confusion I realized it wasn't a mistake in the instructions but a mistake I made in placing the red piece on there to open the door. and I was seeing the back of the box incorrectly too. So nevermind everyone. Boy is my face red.
  6. Has anybody noticed that on 75105, the hidden smuggling floor hidey-hole opens the wrong direction if you build according to the instructions? But the photo on the back of the box shows Finn and Rey getting in there and the door is flipped to the correct orientation. The wrong orientation makes the door bang up against the arch above it and it doesn't open wide enough to actually fit your minifigs in there. I didn't notice for a month! Then my nephew came over and played with the Falcon a little and immediately noticed the problem.
  7. Hmm. Maybe I built it incorrectly. Or was afraid to press too hard when snapping the wings into place. I tried pushing in the wings as hard as I dared right after they fell off and it didn't seem to make a difference. So I might have a building mistake in there. I'll recheck when I get home. Thanks for all your replies! *edited for typos
  8. Two questions: Has anyone noticed that the heavy wings fall off this ship if you turn it sideways at all? I'm not sure if this is common since this is my first Lego TIE fighter. Is there any kind of mod out there to stabilize the build? My nephew picked up the ship to look at it and the thing fell apart just from him turning it sideways to look at the wing. I would have preferred them to make it resilient enough to stay together under its own weight.
  9. I'll have to check my x-wing when I get home. I didn't notice any issues while building it, whooshing it around the room making "pew pew" noises or staring at it on the shelf. I did notice that my millennium falcon set had a bag with an extra unneeded plate and it was also missing another vital piece. Lucky for me I had plenty of that piece sitting around so my falcon was completed without issues. And to darththeling - I bought the whole wave. Someone will probably beat me to taking a photo of it though. I'm at work.
  10. I showed the sets to my neices/nephew and their only reaction was "I want the soccer ball droid". They kept asking their dad if they could get a set with him. Interesting that TLG chose to not include BB8 with Rey's speeder instead. I think that would've been a better choice due to the kid appeal of the character. These kids will probably never get BB8 unless they bricklink it or something and even still I bet the price will be less than reasonable. Their dad asked how much the x-wing costs and then immediately dismissed the idea of getting it.
  11. The transport is actually my favorite so far. There's something vaguely WW2 about it. I haven't built the TIE yet though. Target had two lines at midnight and they spread the Lego sets between the two so I couldn't get all the sets at once. (both lines of people were huge and they cleared out the Lego sets). Then I went to TRU yesterday and the TIE was the only set they had sold out of. So I had to hunt for it a little. Finally found it at Walmart. I wish you all luck in your hunting!
  12. http://imgur.com/gallery/YQX3d I posted some pics of it at the link above. (The Finn head came from the Millennium Falcon. I wanted to see what he would look like in trooper gear.)
  13. I've always wondered why we still don't have a decent Dagobah set. When I was a kid played with the Kenner Dagobah more than any other playset (aside from the Falcon). And I think it would make an easy lower-end set for them. I wouldn't expect them to include an x-wing with it, just yoda's tree hut and some terrain. Maybe a dragonsnake to swallow Artoo. Maybe a dark side cave.
  14. Thanks for that jhaelego. And in my opinion, which is not worth much, I think we have a situation like the armorless Azog and Dain having an axe instead of a hammer in the Lego Hobbit set 79017 for Battle of Five Armies. The set is based on a design that changed in film production but it was too late in the TLG process to update anything.
  15. which ship is the imperial dropship? just curious. I don't remember anything like the lambda in the OT.
  16. Can I just state that I'm glad a certain hero finally has some decent hair and not that "ken doll" hair he's had for a long time.
  17. Fantastic. I love it. I always enjoy your work in Middle Earth. Keep it coming. I think this diorama might be better than the actual battle in the film. (hopefully they add the stuff you added and the EE film becomes great.)
  18. I am totally jazzed about these new sets. However, I'd like to see the back of the box for Kylo's ship to see the features/interior (if any). I'm feeling meh about the snowspeeder but that's probably because I was imagining something like the ESB rebel ship in a different color scheme. I think they should've called it a landspeeder or a snowtrooper transport or something. The minifigs are all great though. The other 5 sets are amazing and I will own them as soon as I am able to.
  19. I'm speechless. I can't wait to see the completed cathedral. Absolutely beautiful work so far.
  20. I couldn't be less interested in the whole Constraction idea. Seems like the kind of thing I would've gotten when i was a kid as a gift from an aunt who doesn't know about toys. In my opinion it's a waste of shelf space. I'm sure there is a market for them, maybe just not the AFOL market.
  21. Once again, you have posted some of the most creative, interesting and unique ideas. I wish you designed for TLG.
  22. This is beautiful, a wonderful job of capturing the moment in Lego elements. Did you post this on the same date that the event happened on purpose?
  23. You'll probably need to either buy another copy of the fort and/or outpost, or else bricklink some additional white bricks if you don't have extras. There's really not a lot of structure to the buildings and I find myself wanting to do a similar upgrade. Unfortunately i'm finding I don't have quite enough white to do the job I want to do. Also my primary focus is to upgrade the Bounty first to have a main deck above the gun deck, a longer body, and possibly a bigger, fancier captain's quarters.
  24. This might be the best MOC I've seen. Incredible.
