Exactly. Luke is the entire reason for that kind of set. Artoo and Yoda barely interact aside from the lamp incident, and Luke is all over that scene. It has to be an error.

Why another ROTJ Lando, when what we desperately need is ESB Lando?

I Agree. There's not much left for ships/sets from TFA that would be realistically marketable. I doubt they redo the shuttle at this point. Maybe for Ep. VIII if it shows up in that film. I would only suggest maybe a regular FO TIE fighter with white solar panels and (ironically) a special ops pilot with the red-striped helmet. But maybe not until the current TIE retires. But probably not going to happen. Aside from that what is there? The Finalizer? doubt it. The Meson Martinet? In my dreams, with Finn, Sidon Ithano & Quiggold, Bazine, etc. The Quad Jumper? yawn. The Eravana? way too big, more of a playset than a ship if they do it. The blink-and-you-miss-it Guavian starfighter? again doubt it.

interesting take on on the U-wing. I didn't expect the black/orange. Looks cool and full of play potential.

[MOC] Imperial Bastion on the planet Valrar
nymmerod replied to michaelozzie's topic in LEGO Star Wars
beautiful work. i love the stone bricks peeking out from the vines and the blending of wild jungle with cold imperial structure. very cool stuff. -
Will she even have that printing in the set? The face is probably the same. She's wearing a poncho that covers the chest piece, but it looks like the same part based on color. But the pants don't look printed and there is not a hairpiece like that but a helmet.

I hope the stormtrooper battlepack won't be like the FO stormtrooper battle pack and only feature 1 actual basic stormtrooper, and one specialized stormtrooper of some kind, follow by 2 random crew that most people don't want to army build.

[MOD] 75102 X-wing S-foil, rubber band, and landing gear fix

I love what you've done with the wings. God, that's so much better. Beautifully done. I may have to attempt to steal your ideas as I build my LBG/Blue version this weekend. -
In all the upcoming 2016 sets that we know about, do any of them feature the classic stormtroopers (non-rebels version)? I guess it might be safe to assume there will be at least one in the Death Star set, but aside from that?

Nice MOC. I had a painting of this scene (pre-film) on my wall as a kid and this door has always been one of the most iconic things for me personally. Wonderful work. love it.

I just picked up the DK book with Unkar's Brute figure. He makes a nice companion for the Unkar's Thug. I just wish his pants were printed; they look so plain compared to the rest of the minifig. I'm not sure it was worth it but now my nephew will have a book he wouldn't have had otherwise, and wish he had the figure that went with it. The average aftermarket price on the minifigure by itself exceeds what the whole book cost me though.

I don't think he was claiming to have insider information, just wishful thinking.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game Discussion
nymmerod replied to npgcole's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
There are 10 custom character slots, two of which are BB units, one is an R2/R4 unit, one is a protocol droid, the rest are people. I'm not sure how it worked in clone wars. The options are pretty much limited to using parts from characters you have unlocked in game but you can change colors of some things. I have enjoyed the game a lot, especially the bonus levels with material leading up to the film. The two complaints I have are: 1) the complete lack of Luke (Ep. VII version) as a playable character. There really isn't a great way to make a custom version of him either. That seems like a major oversight to me. and 2) the Wii U version doesn't get any of the DLC content which is just stupid. What, PS4 made some behind the scenes deal for exclusive rights? It's annoying.- 201 replies

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
nymmerod replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm certain there will be an entirely new costume for him (yet with a familiar style). So it will probably be new from the neck down at least. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same Ken doll hair though. -
Agree. I also have a problem with the thrusters falling out any time I handle Poe's X-wing. It looks like that same problem may exist in 75149 as well. I was hoping they would find a better connection than that little bit of technic bar.

I just finished building the set. My opinion still stands that the set is not as terrible as everybody is saying. It's not as iconic as say, my sandcrawler or slave I. But I think Echo base in general is just not iconic. The real icon of Hoth is the AT-AT. I guess it was a great set for me since I didn't have the wampa or tauntaun and my Hoth collection was very Imperial heavy. I already had the 2014 AT-AT and snowspeeder and a gaggle of snowtroopers so now my Hoth scene is pretty rounded out.

What were people expecting this thing to be? What makes it so awful of an execution? Is it the reused builds? Is it that it comes in several mini builds rather than one large build? Is it the missing Leia? I can't for the life of me imagine what TLG could have done to appease all of you on this set aside from not making a hoth set in the first place. They couldn't exactly build an entire snowy mountain landscape. They couldn't include AT-ATs. They couldn't make the entire Echo base layout. I don't see much difference between this set and the ewok village except that EV is a single building. I see a lot of complaining about the price, but it's practically the same number of pieces and minifigures as EV at the same price. I saw several people in my Lego Store with this thing under their arm this week, so it is not universally distasteful among Lego fans.

Me too. I didn't have the previous sets that 75098 borrows from. Mine has just arrived and I will be building it tonight with much joy. I simply bricklinked a few of the minifigures that were missing like Reeikan, Leia, 2-1B and Han sans parka. I think it is almost as good a set as the ewok village, which isn't totally complete as people are saying. There is no new version of Luke with his poncho, plus you'd need to get the shuttle tyderium set. I also bricklinked a few extra minifigs for that like Paploo. I don't understand all the hate the 75098 set has been getting but I will enjoy mine.

Awesome work, yet again. This exact room was on my "to do" list but I think you've done it better than I could. Some of my favorite Star Wars dialogue is from this room. I hope you continue to make more of these cinematic Death Star interiors.

very well done! I used to spend a lot of time on that game. I think the archery building is my favorite of these. I wish you had made one of the castles (although that would be a more significant undertaking for sure).

Beautiful work there! I love it. High quality. The floor in the hallway is awesome.

quarren and aqualish definitely need representation. I'd just add a molded sullustan head. along with cloud city versions of our heroes, the rest of the ESB bounty hunters and a billion other things.

I agree. round ones are annoying... I hate applying stickers. I want them to be perfectly aligned and yet don't have the dexterity to align them perfectly. I especially hate any 1x2 snot stickers. They're so small that they usually end up misaligned for me.

I like the exclusive stormtrooper. So there. I'll gladly pick one up in May and enjoy having a little variety in my army.
