    Thanks. I've been doing grills as a way to embed axes for a bit now, right back to my first GoH build. Recently I've used white for snow and I've done brown and tan to do more of an "embedded in wood" thing. See my Stables Phase 2 and Barracks Phase 1 and Archery Phase 2-3 for examples! I'd love to see this technique used as I think it'll also work for swords and the like though I haven't tried that yet.

    Nivremis is correct, it's from altbricks. They make a stiffer leaf product in many colors, including a trans blue. The trans blue is for wintery icy trees, I guess, but doesn't look right. :P

    That's a good point. My criticism is just that it needs a bit more development, then, to evoke that nice mix. Maybe a few more trees or some color variation would have given it that effect better, I'm not sure!

    Very cool, MK. I like the cracks in the wall. I also like how clean the greys make the build look especially with little notes of color like the red apple, the blue accents, and the fountain. Great use of color. Heh!

    That tree actually reminds me of one of the Old Forest trees from The Lord of the Rings. The ones that try to eat the Hobbits.

    Yeah, the foliage and posing are top notch. I do think you pulled off the blood spatter effect nicely. I agree with Garm about the trees, though.

    This is shaping up to be awesome. I like that the dwarves are getting so much play and I love what Ecc and Kabel have done with their architecture and industry. For someone like me, planning a few dwarf builds for AoM, it's inspiring stuff. What's really going on still seems under wraps but I can see a lot of opportunities that can easily and organically spring from the storytelling here. The dwarves could declare independence, or they could build up into a military power in their own right, causing tensions to mount and alliances/balances to waiver. Very cool stuff.

    Thanks. Quite pleased myself. Awesome thanks. I wanted to differentiate from previous targets I and others have made. These feel like a good evolution of the practice targets from Phase 2. Thanks. I think you only missed 1 famous Mitgardian but he's kinda new. Thanks Gun. Thanks Kabel! I do use a white board but I don't have one big enough for something like this. My Phase 3 Stables also had this sheet for the overview shots. I need to iron it or something. I'd still rather have this than a bunch of seamed overlapping white papers or boards. Thanks, SarahJoy. Especially re: the storytelling compliment. Alva is a Norse name. Iceland is/was a Norse country. I try to use Norse names and iconography as much as possible for Mitgardia. Like the big runestone in this build! Thanks DG. I'm not sure how to edit the photos, really. I resize and crop them in MSpaint but I may as well be trying to speak Chinese as use GIMP or PS.
