  1. A pack o' roamin' bounty hunters take a shot at the Bad Trollz, a mutie gang led by a well-dressed, well-spoken and all-bad mutant sumbitch what calls hisself Hackington Walsh. The Trollz are a bad bunch. They eat folk. They ain't much afraid o' no bounty hunters. Walsh says bounty hunters is good eatin'. That grayin' fella is Mac McTaggart and he don't care what Hackington Walsh's boys thinks no how. Mac holds up the bounty card, Walsh's likeness plain fer all to see. Now we'll see who gits who.
  2. I'm going to buy all those sets I think. I flinched at the biggest Hobbit sets from the first movie which was a mistake.
  3. I love the inclusion of the Samurai sets to Rakath since it seems to be the unofficial "Far East" region of Historica. Anytime I get an idea for an Eastern-themed group, like the Yukar Orcs, I think Rakath.
  4. Beautiful build. That interior is like a lesson plan. Also... THE HOUSE HAS A FACE.
  5. I think one of the disturbing things about this build, to me, is that there are Nazi stickers out there and people use them. Haha. It's not that disturbing what with historical dioramas and model kits but I had to do a double take when I saw those on Lego.
  6. Great little scene with fun combative dialogue. Love the furnishings. Top knotch. Especially how the table not quite being pushed all the way together gives a rustic, beat up look.
  7. Beautiful work, DG. You make this look easy. IIRC they're from the Uruk Hai Army set that is very rare now. It cost like $20-25 when it first came out. I got one back then but the price was inflated badly and now you can find them in stores (occasionally) for $50+ or online for as much as $80. I almost bought one last time I was in Edmonton because it was hidden away at a store and on for $54.99 or something. My wife advised me against it since I'd spent a bunch of money at the Lego Store earlier that day anyhow. I should have bought both and sold one, dammit.
  8. I definitely planned to build an armored chobo, too. And a chobo laden with goods to sell. And a chobo made of icecream. All the chobos. Forever...
  9. Hey, cool mount. I really like its shape. Like the colors and base too.
  10. Seems like this is in a holding pattern. Much like the proposed persistent RPG/world for Scifi...
  11. I like the landing pads and the general color scheme and greebling here and there. Good ship!
  12. I'm actually mystified that TLG hasn't produced a full on Steampunk theme. There's also never been a definitive Steampunk movie, or game, or book that I know of. Just stuff that pulls elements and mixes them with other stuff. I think TLG would make a killing since it seems to me that Steampunk fans love merchandise, which seems to be the main driver of the genre. At least I see more freestanding Steampunk merch out there than I do any IP-related stuff.
  13. Favorite part is the shingling on the shop stall, but this is just a gorgeous castle build all around. You should check out Guilds of Historica!
  14. Love the way you did low stone walls ala sheep walls. A viable alternative to the usual 1x1 stud style.
  15. Thanks guys!
  16. Thanks, Scaevola! I know, I know. I didn't want to redesign it and break continuity with the other build but it looks even worse here than it did in the previous Phase. :P I have some ideas for this family (or at least some members) as well as the chobos. We'll see what happens in the Mitgardian civil war. Thanks man! I was hoping doing it bigger (there's 2 more 16x16 plates added) and changing the seasons and some of the landscaping to reflect passage of time would do if there was any issue building off the previous phase. Thanks LV! Thanks SK! Careful calling the chobos cute... they will peck you. :P Thanks DG. I'll be working on my own spin on Norse-influenced architecture going forward. These were actually my first houses/buildings for GoH. Shhhhhhh! They might hear you say that! Thanks! Thanks MKJoshA. If I can sneak 'em into the civil war builds, I will! I hope others will try building them in other guilds as per the color variations and stuff. I've thought about doing a series showing different chobos in different lands but think it'd be fun for others to try! Thanks Gideon! I'm glad everybody loves the chobos so much. It's thus very unlikely they'll devour me and use my bones to build their nests.
  17. Nice clean minimal build. A Gunman specialty!
  18. Cool idea for a storehouse. I like the idea of stashes of assassin's weapons and tools around cities and have a somewhat similar idea myself for this category. I would like to see this integrated into a city scene, but then again that's what I'm planning to do so maybe don't do that hahaha.
  19. Gunman's Mitgardia is always slightly different looking than the typical whites and dark greens, haha. Great build, Gunman. I love the stall's canopy. Very nice way to brickbuild that.
  20. Yes! I was hoping someone would do a ram mount homaging WoW. I thought about this myself and you made it work nicely.
  21. Nice rustic build. Very colorful, which I always shy away from since I'm always afraid it'll look too busy and mottled. You pulled it off, though!
  22. Great field. I love the patchwork ground texturing as it evokes what you'd expect from a small, rustic garden or farm without the conviences of using animals for tilling the soil (creating straight lines and mounds) or other techniques for larger scale farming. Can you tell I live in farm country? Haha. Where did those red head pieces for the tomatoes come from?!
