Looks great! I was also disappointed that this set wasn't a two in one like the other movie sets.
-
That is really impressive! Very cool.

That is awesome! If Lego were releasing Fire sets like this, I don't think people would have 'fire fatigue.' Really nice work.

Lego scene in The Walking Dead finale last night
sithewok replied to Malikon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just finished watching the episode (dvr). Thought it was a pretty cool little moment. -
I've gotten some great suggestions reading through this thread. Luckily (and unluckily at the same time), as a new collector it is currently easy for me to store and sort my collection for the time being. Hopefully soon I will have to follow some of this great advice. Anyone use Plano tackle boxes for storage? I use them for my action figure collection and thought they might work well for Lego also with their adjustable sections.

Kind of cool to see such a large construction built in "rainbow," but it does make it a bit difficult to make out a lot of details in your build. Looks like it was a lot of fun to build, though.

REVIEW: 75040 General Grievous’ Wheel Bike
sithewok replied to HandofBobb's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Really tempted to pick this set up and your review makes it even harder to say no. Nice pictures and write-up. I cracked up at Olivia. -
Does anyone else live in fear... (of new sets missing pieces)
sithewok replied to Farmer Harv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I always worry about it with the really large sets for some reason. I have vacuumed up a piece before, though, so I probably worry about that even more. -
[MOC] UCS Nebulon B - Medical Frigate 'Redemption'
sithewok replied to mortesv's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow. That is a thing of beauty. Easily one of my favorite SW ships and you recreated it beautifully! -
That is awesome! Very cool.

Picked up a second Falcon microfighter today as my daughter stole mine and has been playing with it incessantly. (and she hasn't even seen Star Wars yet...) :)

Surprised Walmart is clearancing any Lego movie sets. They are *all* constantly sold out here. It's ridiculous how fast they sell out...
-
So far, I have only purchased Lego. But as a huge Joe fan, if I lived somewhere Kreo G.I. Joe was available, I would probably not be sticking to Lego only.
-
Thanks for the review! I've been thinking about picking up this set, but I have so many trucks at this point that I probably don't need another. At least it isn't a fire or police set, though.
-
That is a lot of color variance in those green bricks. I guess that could be kind of nice if you are lego landscaping, though.

Is it possible that Revan could be a SDCC exclusive, if this is real? I guess the timing makes it much more likely that it's the May 4th promo, but...

REVIEW: 71005 LEGO Minifigures - The LEGO Simpsons Series
sithewok replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for the review. Not being a huge Simpsons fan, I'm not all that interested in the set (and I don't particularly like the molded heads, so that is another negative for me, personally). That said, I will probably get a few of these for custom parts if nothing else. I definitely want to track down Ralph and Milhouse as they are characters I remember and liked when I watched the first couple seasons of the Simpsons. One thing I wonder about your review. You say that the traditional Lego CMF's may return in 2015. I thought that there would be another traditional series this year...- 118 replies

Why is that seller on Bricklink selling the hard to find Fire Brigade for 229 but selling the easily available modular sets for 300 apiece? I really would like to jump on the Fire Brigade at that price, but it makes me a little nervous. Does Bricklink have buyer protection measures? (sorry for the newbie questions, but I am, well, a newbie to Lego...)

That's really cute! (and I don't mean that in a bad way - just to be clear) I like the size and colors, the back looks great, cool details in the apartment interiors. A great MOC all around.
-
Welcome! And your work is absolutely fantastic! Can't wait to see more.

This MOC is a thing of beauty. I like it better than some of the official modular builds, honestly. The tree, all of the interior details... Just fantastic work. If you ever shared instructions for this beast, I would go broke buying bricks...

Yeah, it seems to devalue the house set a good bit if there are no characters exclusive to it. I'm not a huge Simpsons fan, but I would be more likely to consider buying the house if the minifigures included were at least characters that were exclusive to that set. (Of course, I would be personally more likely to buy into the Simpsons theme if the figures didn't have molded faces - I really think they could have been done with standard minifig construction. I'm probably alone in that, but it is a pretty big disappointment to me...)
-
Yeah... I'll basically be buying the set for the minifigures. Really wish they were doing more than one X-men set. Maybe if the X-mansion on Cuusoo keeps getting support they will see that there is a bigger market for X-men characters/sets.
