Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
sithewok replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I feel that the falcon is far and away the best. Bas for my second favorite, my opinion seems to be unpopular, but I like the aat or turbo tank probably almost as much as the falcon. -
Picked up my first Akro Mills units today at Menard's - these really are very nice. I've sorted by color and some by type (windows, jumper plates, tiles, minifigure parts, etc...) already and am really liking how easy these are to use so far.

These just keep looking better and better. I'm going to be broke this year.

That looks fantastic! I love the colors and the fabulous details throughout.

Ok. Pardon the (possibly stupid) questions from a newbie collector, please, but I was wondering a couple of things. Primarily, about what percentage of the bricks for these can be had through pick a brick rather than bricklinking? I know it is more expensive, but I have built up a good collection of VIP points that I am considering using towards the discontinued modulars. Is there a list out there for the elements that are not available any more through TLG that you would have to bricklink? I just recently started collecting and the Modulars are my main focus. I picked up PC, TH, GE, and PS. Plan on picking up Fire Brigade next before the price starts to get ridiculous and then PR. I would love to start building up the pieces for Green Grocer and Café Corner as I go along, though. (May skip market street, but I haven't 100% decided yet.

Yikes. As a new convert to Lego, this topic is making me very nervous. I leave all of my sets assembled - don't want to find them breaking on their own...
-
That's cute and well-made! My daughter would love it.

These show some real imagination! I love them.

I prefer minifigs without the stud showing, but I do have a couple of figures in my display with their studs showing, so it isn't a 100% deal breaker for me.

[WIP] Purist Firefly Minifigures
sithewok replied to Cube1701's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
HUGE fan of the show and you're doing great with these figures. Mal, Jayne, and Wash are particularly spot-on. Nice job! -
Whoa! Great, detailed build and fantastic lighting in the shot as well. Nice work!
-
Very cool. What a great idea to use the trophy in a micro build!
-
That looks really cool. Love the greeblies detailing on the roof.

I'm still pretty new to all of this, so bear with me if this has come up before. Has TLG ever done a fan's choice poll for the CMF range? I'm thinking something along the lines of what Hasbro has done for its action figure lines in the past (though not for awhile...) where people would be allowed one write-in vote and the top choice would be made. In this case, TLG could do a 16-piece fan's choice series pulling from the top choices. Certainly, licensed characters would be out and TLG would be fully allowed to refuse any ideas they didn't think fit in with their ideals... But people would be able to vote for a figure type that wasn't currently available (baker, classic ufo "gey" alien, EMT, breakdancer, etc. - just throwing out random ideas) and the top choices would be considered for the series. I realize the sheer amount of choices would be mind-blowing, but surely some ideas would float to the top as tropes/character types people have been wanting to see and it just may give TLG some ideas they hadn't thought of. Thoughts? Has this been done at all? Something people would be interested in?

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
sithewok replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think the exo suit will sell quite well, personally. Guess it's hard to predict since we haven't seen the final product yet, but I see a lot of excitement for it around. Still pulling for the x-mansion,but I doesn't look like it will hit the needed votes for this period. -
This is very cool. I was a drummer when I was younger and would love to build a mini set like this someday. Nice touch with the wear to the heads.

That is awesome! What a cool creation - well-done! I love the display with the minifigures standing on it as well.

6 kits in and my first missing piece!
sithewok replied to Malikon's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I've put together around 40 sets since starting to collect (including several modular) and was never missing a piece until a week ago. Sad part is the set (Pet Shop) that finally had a missing piece was missing over ten pieces. Luckily, they were all common elements that I had extras of, but it was definitely a bummer. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
sithewok replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Palace Cinema was my first modular. I agree that the stickers are a bit of a bummer, but I love the exterior build. So detailed and cool. -
I love it - particularly the detailing on the white walls and the freezing chamber.

Really nice. Definitely evokes the game well. Which reminds me that I never finished the second Portal game - I need to rectify that.
