  1. Oh wow, whatever happened to this Ondrew guy? He's got some crazy cool creations on brickshelf!!
  2. ((I'd say the easiest solution would've been to level out your shelf spaces))
  3. "Make Lego Trains Great Again"
  4. Ooooh imagine 249$ for half a train!?! Who'd spring for that?
  5. A 249$ train set, whether passenger or freight, is indeed very intriguing news! Also, has there been any mention of PF 2.0 components?
  6. I agree, the olive green torsos in 60052 + 60098 make it seem as if they're not really railway employees, but rather workers at the featured cargo destinations for those sets? I actually welcome the idea of having different departments having different color schemes and/or torso prints. Kind of like Star Trek, but maybe no red crewmembers..... lol I still think it would be a great idea to have more cross-theme appeal though. For example: - The next passenger train set could have a thief robbing the passengers, and then be chased by a cop (or transit police) - The first freight set could have a structure, like an oil refinery, catch fire, so some firefighters come to the rescue (a shameless way to include another helicopter) - The second freight set could include some mining action, like a small tunnel or mountain to mine, a dynamite filled explode-able boxcar, and more of those creepy glowing spiders. -The next "curveball" train set should be something to go along with the amusement park sub-theme, since WV got one. dammit Lego, hire me already!
  7. hahahahaha, the rumors said the theme would be "new", none of them said it would be any "good"...... ((Personally, I think Nexo Knights is an interesting theme, but I do wish it had more tech/space -ness to it. It's too... terrestrial? Although I wouldn't mind an armored train, operated by either the Nexo Knights or the baddies.)) Anyways, I believe that we'll see new train sets (on shelves?) by summer 2018. The part driving my anxiety is whether or not those new sets will be at least decent.
  8. I agree with @legonerd54321, the suggested color scheme is very... drab. Hopefully this is just a hint that we'll be getting new train sets in 2018, and not a teaser as to what they'll actually look like!! Would love to have a metallic silver passenger train, but will also take anything blue, yellow, or green...
  9. I agree with @gotoAndLego that the beams for the bridge are too thick; the should probably be 2 studs or less imho. Other than that, this looks like a decent bridge to best be placed low, over a small river or shallow crevasse.
  10. Thanks, it's just an idea that makes the most sense. I kind of wish that lego would go back to showcasing potential alternate builds for trains (and sets in general) but not necessarily include the instructions for them-- a challenge of sorts to build something else than what's on the front of the box. http://peeron.com/scans/4559-1/45 http://peeron.com/scans/4565-1/46 *photo credits via peeron.com*
  11. @DeGobbi you may have to use a few bits of flex track to get your "easements" to line up with the stud grid. At the very least, you should be able to attach this mixed curve section at the beginning and the end?
  12. I think it would be a good idea to have the modular station also be a 3-in-1 as a freight depot and engine shed?
  13. I made a quick video of my circle of r120's, fresh out of the box! Space is at a premium due to the holidays, but I managed to find enough space on the floor: Eddie and the 7-foot Circle by Nick Jackson, on Flickr
  14. @SuperChiefer84 I don't think anyone's ever done a rendition of that... Maybe you can be the first...?
  15. I wouldn't mind a modern take on a few 12V era sets......!
  16. That apartment probably has low rent though......
  17. I think the bell is a custom gold colored fez piece? Also, @Cale, did you use track pins on the valve gear rods?
  18. A pair of Weinstraße 3yg Coaches, Deutsche Weinstraße Coaches by Nick Jackson, on Flickr (plz excuse my finger in the frame) Deutsche Weinstraße Coaches by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Deutsche Weinstraße Coaches by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Close-up of the AB3yg. Deutsche Weinstraße Coaches by Nick Jackson, on Flickr Close-up of the BD3yg, I chose to go with this so I could avoid buying more of those dastardly tan windows. Thoughts?
  19. Of course it belongs here, it IS a train after all....! I'm more curious about the backstory behind those "robo redcoats," and even more curious as to why there is a steam-powered rail system on this uncharted island.
  20. Congrats on making it into the local papers!
  21. Very ornate models! Why does the 2nd coach not have any gold trim?
  22. yay, I have many unpublished/ unfinished projects to use for this :)
  23. Could the battery box problem possibly be a generational thing? If I remember correctly, the L motor & Servo motor were released a while after the initial release of the Power Functions line... So if you have a AAA battery box that was made before L motors were introduced, it would make some sense that the box can't handle the newer elements. I think?
  24. arghhh I need some of those sand red bricks!! lol
  25. hahaha, I should have said "more" celebrity endorsements then!
