I had designed my LegoIDEAS Orc War Boar for... erm well for Orcs... (Yes the clue's in the name!) but I had also took a few quick shots to see if it worked with a Dwarf riding it instead. Anyway, let me know what you think and if you like it then please support the updated IDEAS... especially if you want to help inspire and show TLG that there is still a market and a desire for castle / medieval / fantasy themes and sets from the community out there. http://ideas.lego.co...132944/updates

Lots to be proud of here... well done! (I particularly like the guy hiding behind the cactus... I'm wondering where else he's going to go once it gets shot up a few times! :D)

Well obviously not as long as they don't end up being better than mine! :D Thanks for the support BTW (regardless of how they end up!) PS: and totally want to see them soon!

Thank you - if you had a moment to support it on IDEAS I would be really appreciate it!

Thank you for the support! And although I do have a lot of Warhammer background in my past and I particularly love the world they created... and subsequently destroyed... :( for legal reasons can I state that any resemblance between this chariot and anything that GW has ever produced living or dead, is purely coincidental!

The Elf Battle Chariot - gift to the Forest Elves from their High born cousins - designed to both transport important leaders speedily across the battlefield and to add a bit more punch to their light cavalry. Often encountered when they are found fighting outside of the forests, it is very much the centre piece of their army and a rallying point for their kin. No Elven battle force of note is ever found without at least one in their ranks. And rumour has it that some of the more noble born elves are even using the same chariot frame to be pulled into battle by a mythical white lion! What it looks like at home - High Elf Chariot with pure thoroughbreds and dark green caparisons, crewed by Wood Elves and a High Elf Envoy Above and below show example of range of movement and articulation. Chariot pivots 180 degrees around horizontal (ie: hard left and hard right turns) as well as horses can rear up as well. If any of this takes your fancy in any way I would be grateful for your support at: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/128555 Yes I know I only had the orc war boar approved the other day but I had no idea this one would be accepted in around 12 hours! (Especially since my first 3 projects were rejected) Much love D

This is Amazing - great build!! (all that's missing is Ugglug and his orcs! :P) And absolutely LOVE the wolf pen and hut... just perfect! And texture to roof is spot on!

I wonder if Orc children speak German? "Hur Hur... serves dem stoopid oomans right.. trying to fight our boars!" I *might* have a Dwalin pic or two lying around... riding the boar.... you know... just saying! :P Actually - the Mohawks work REALLY well for dwarf slayers!
-
So let's hear it then? :D Thank you - if you love em then please consider voting for them at the IDEAS site? If we all pulled together and voted for more medieval / fantasy / castle themed sets then hopefully it will attract TLG's attention and get less blended/fusion castle in the future? Much love D

Ugglug is finally here! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=122558

Better hope the "lugs" all keep their heads down then... They wouldn't want Ugglug's legal team threatening to sue again! Yeah there is a cuteness to them... As well as a solid fierceness there! Thanks I dunno - rather be sued than eaten! :)

I have NO IDEA what this MrRoy is talking about... The helmet is fairly standard across the battlefields of Middle Zealand - Ugglug and his Lieutenants frequently scavenge the bodies on the battlefield in order to collect the best sets of armour to keep them alive in the next skirmish! Ugglug's hair is by Thrash however... Celebrity stylist to the great and the (not-so) good!
-
Yeah - they're sniffing for hobbits!

That IS a good tree... I'm trying to build one for my next LegoIDEAS submission... but struggling somewhat! :(

Sure that's cool - I'm not feeling belittled! :D Really? Are you sure they are specifically GW related symbols... I thought they looked a lot like stuff from this set: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21601

Well... ye-es... but then WoW have orcs on boars... and LOTR has durin on a Boar too... not to mention having orcs on a warg is pretty close to goblin wolf riders... I don't know how IP works with generic fantasy creature on generic fantasy mount... And I would be surprised if GW would pursue Lego in case someone built a lego army to use for battle... It would probably be significantly cheaper that way :D (actually I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if GW tried that... *rofl*) thanks - they DO look cool :D

Lets get a great new range of Historial based themes/sets/builds back in TLG's conciousness! "The future is bright... The future is green... The future is armoured... And it sits on 2000 pounds of evil smelling tusked terror! This rider was one of the strongest and meanest in his tribe and has spent its entire life fighting whilst riding the fierce War Boar, which naturally brought the attention of Ugglug the Orc, scourge of Middle Zealand. Having been hand-picked personally by Ugglug himself, and kitted out in the finest armour scavenged from a hundred different battlefields, this Orc is now one of Ugglug's closest lieutenants, a trusted member of the warband known as Ugglug's Armoured Orcs. If you see it on the battlefield, beware! Ugglug and the rest of his band are sure to be close at hand!" But my desire is still the same - build MoC's / themes / sets in order to inspire and stimulate the lego community to get TLG building more pure medieval / fantasy / castle themes... as opposed to mech/medieval fusion.

Thanks - yeah it was either a female halfling archer for the cow patrol or a Kevin Keegan haircut! (Worth a Google if you have no idea what I'm talking about) Dude!! You have to promise to photograph them and post them soon... After all Ugglug's boys need some more fodder...
