  1. Just to say thank you to everyone who's watched the video - my 4 year old can't believe how many people have seen the video of the two of us goofing around! I *know* its only 150 odd but to him that's like to the moon and back!
  2. I guess it depends on how often he asks about it... once a day is probably okay... once an hour... not so good!
  3. Dear Rick - yes thank you that would make sense (I'd probably struggle to create a new Forum in order to post my son's joke!)
  4. Okay - will have my first squad up in a few hours!
  5. Quick question - am looking to get our first army built and put together (have the entire collection but will take time to set up etc) but am wondering... do people like getting it all in one go - or do you all like getting teased with squads in dribs/drabs?
  6. Sounds good Brickelodeon - Jeddy and Daddy will definitely be buying tickets to see that movie! (hopefully it will be little guy friendly?!)
  7. Of course you do! Joke is 1.20 in btw... (apologies about the sound quality)
  8. Would "off topic" be the best place to link to a video of my 4 year old making a Lego Darth Vader Father Christmas joke?
  9. I will be intrigued to see how they look Wardancer - please let me know when you get them??
  10. Love the red in the roof and the texture to the walls - the right amount of sticky out bits to squashed flat bricks to normal smooth bricks! Two thumbs well up!
  11. +1 All good nothing bad with these!
  12. Can I also extend my congratulations to these series of wonderful vignettes! All fab and the minifig's personalities seem to shine through each photo... But can I ask - where is the female dark green torso from? (with the white corset/shirt and brown laces) I love it but can't find where it is from! Many thanks
  13. Exactly! Have a few of these dotted around lots of the green hooded mirkwood elves and you have a great collection of troops - clever stuff Wardancer! OR - a clever MOC-er cloud do some mixy-mixy with the green hoods and some little beardy folk and come up with... (http://www.avatars-of-war.com/eng/web/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&prodcode=pl07&prodname=Dwarf+Pathfinders&mediumcast=plastic&id=118&Itemid=115) That would be pretty clever!
  14. Still haven't seen either Hobbit movie once! Am waiting until all three are done... and THEN waiting for the extended edition DVD sets and THEN I'll spend 2 days watching everything back to back
  15. Bah - 100 is no army... more of a light skirmish force! I have been thinking on how best to portray the Dark Elves/Drow figures - I've yet to see one that hits the spot 100% - I'd be very interested to see your take on them.
  16. No - not polybag Mirkwood elves - limited edition promotional elves from the MEA set with art card insert from Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug movie! Just like lor078 on bricklink... 4.19 Euros seems like £3.45 - wow... If you ever want to increase/vary your core unit - I'm sure I can do better than that per elf (and mine come with bows too!) And no US import tax too (strictly free I love the Eurozone no borders business!) AND less shipping costs no doubt!
  17. 376 Elves would take forever to set up - but we'll see if I can get some space. Yeah - they seem low in the US at the moment... (I'm guessing you are this side of the pond Dance?) but no one will have as many as me... *muhahaha*
  18. Or via myself *cough* for example? Have probably got 300+ elves spare... ish... Am on bricklink too as it happens... However, I disagree about the hoodies not being elvish... a green hood per se yes on it s own probably isn't - but a number of green hoods with elf bows (in dispersed with a few long hairs or pointy ears) and you start to have a mix of elf troops. And what could be more Elvish than 100 or so hooded archers, just inside the treeline, waiting for those greenskins to come in to range of a hail of death.... Having said that, having every soldier with exactly the same look makes a regiment look a little false IMHO. But I do like the majority of the troops to look broadly very similar - different faces or hair perhaps and the odd colour change here and there to (maybe even to signify different clans/squads etc) Then you can really go to town with the heroes/generals/leader models as well as other individuals like standard bearers/musicians uniques etc etc - Wardancer has particularly good ones in that respect. I'm really interested to see how the noble elf regiment works out! Much love David
  19. Then surely you change the torso to be something more armoured - add a cape and a sword... maybe tweak a head or two and voila... Death from the trees! No?
  20. I also bought a Mirkwood Elf Army... (372 promotional packs of the Mirkwood Elf Archer would make up a sizeable army huh?) And like Kauaijohn I too have blown my budget too!
  21. We'll I've bought 1 for my son and then 372 promotional Mirkwood Elf packs for me... (Didn't think 4 elves were enough!)
