I have mixed feelings about it. Foliage is great but I expect it to be more dense in a jungle. And the river seems "too regulated" - straight, and blue, which suggests clarity. Not what you find in a jungle. I would add more foliage (if you have the bricks...) and deregulate the river. There is no trans-brown ;) so the colour needs to stay (or trans green, maybe?)

I used to have time but after the young one appeared, the only time I have for MOC-ing is when my wife is away with the child at her parents. So not too much time... An alternative I have is to build sets - I don't need to have all my collection spread out then, I can have the pieces that came with the set only. It's a good enough substitute. As for buying the pieces, it's sets, BL and lugbulk combined planned about 1 year ahead and bought almost exclusively on sales.

Overall a very nice set, but I really don't like the fact that every time you build a wall with some special element in it, it will always be in some strange, way off, colour. Here, a blue wall just can't possibly have blue modified bricks. We're apparently not bright enough to differentiate it from the normal bricks were they all using the same colours. So is it supposed to be for adults, 16+ or not? It really looks bad on the building:/

Or if you have a tripod you don't need any more lights. I always make photos in available light, tripod, self timer and they look pretty good, I think. I like that cutlass sunk in the skeleton :)

The technibricks are there because of its "modular past" ;) but I also liked how it looked like with those so I left them. Thanks for all the nice comments- encouraging for building more:)

Thank you, everyone :)

Let me introduce you to my first ever train MOC ;) If moderator feels this belongs to other category better (maybe historic? he's been waiting for sooo long...) feel free to move this topic. This is how a typical passanger feels sometimes when your train simply doesn't want to come on time :) EDIT: This MOC is now on Rebrickable: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/Mestari/waiting-for-the-train

Advice on displaying a layout at a local train show
Mestari replied to ecmo47's topic in LEGO Train Tech
I was wondering where can I read about substituting those technic wheels for the regular ones. I don't really know what you all are referring to since I'm new to trains. -
1H2015 Video Reviews

This bright green is not good news. I was hoping we could combine more sets to get more of the same colour. Now we get blue and medium blue, green and bright green. It's going to be harder to collect decent amount of the same colour for MOCs. Unless they stick to it and the rest of the sets in the future will use bright green instead of regular green too :) -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Mestari replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I guess the pricing will remain the same, number of bricks as well, detailing at the PR level. That would lead to the building itself being smaller than in the beginning of the modular line. The introduction of an alley probably helps them to keep the detailing at high level and sill have relatively high building. Just like the terrace area in PR. I don't think the building/buildings will extend more backwards - those will likely stay at the same point as all other modulars allowing Lego to keep the pieces limit where it is now. -
Changing The Guard - Stonewald City Watch (Lands of Roawia - Lenfald)
Mestari replied to mvk's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Brilliantly simple way to achieve that pavement. I also like that guy lightening the file to the torch at the wall and the garden area. And everything ;)- 10 replies

[CONCEPT] Snow Chains
Mestari replied to Tommy Styrvoky's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There has been some discussion about using those chains in the thread dedicated to 8110 modifications. But it's a very long thread so I can't point you to exact place. -
[TC5] The Dawnbreaker
Mestari replied to MajklSpajkl's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
You have also changed (decreased) saturation a bit. I like the second one better :) And the model too! -
Thanks for the comments :) The knight could be a bit more brave, but he's still learning ;)

MOC: Union Pacific City of Los Angeles passenger train
Mestari replied to nebraska's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Impressive... I wonder how much it would cost to build it... Nice usage of ribbed silver hoses :) -
Nice truck, but mostly I like the way it was presented - great idea with snow! :)

This is a MOC that was created to go with big fantasy diorama "Studogrod", that was displayed in Warsaw on Polish LUG LugPOL exhibition. I wanted to create some ruins that has been taken over by a tree as time went by. I spent some time creating some instructions for it as well - you can find them on Rebrickable under this link. All photos of this MOC can be found here. If you happen to build this MOC, please let me know your thought about the building process and your general impressions in the comments section. And here goes the MOC - a brave knight explores the forgotten ruins when suddenly he encounters an unexpected being... :)

I haven't tried that yet but sometimes lego sells those pieces via bricks and pieces site. I know at least some of them are available for purchase as I read someone from here did that with a selection of 41999 parts. Worth a try... :)
