  1. Hey Ska, I grabbed Jakorin's info to help you out for a sec. Can't imagine how tough this is for you to keep track of! Jakorin Swiftsword
  2. Fantastic entry, I hate I somehow missed this until now! Love those pillars, the palm tree and the posing.
  3. Another sweet round of entries! Is it just me, or do the entries just seem to get better and better with each minichallenge? As Robuko said in WZ2, many of these entries could have been challenge-winners on their own. What an awesome time to be a part of GoH! Jacob, I hope you are able to provide Ska with a resized image of the full MOC. To me it's the best on the Desert King's lineup for WZ3, and deserves a full MOC shot for the voting thread.
  4. Lovely scene mccoyed! The vegetation and rockwork is spot on for this size of build, and I think the composition is top notch with the ruined watchtower in the background and the nice little path up to the door. The border and photography are excellent too. Great work, refreshing too considering all the Ch. 4 going-ons! I hate to admit it, I can't remember the last adventure of Alva Tyrnsdottir. Is she a former privateer under One Eye?
  5. I also voted for Ulandus on this one! Between Narbilu's tornado magic, Garmadon's ninja warrior and Kai's meteor, Ulandus entered some really creative and memorable competitors. What surprises me about this minichallenge is the diversity in entries. For a max limit of 8x8, there is a crazy amount of difference in each one of these builds!
  6. Hey Ska, sorry about that - meant to edit my post and put H12 as my pick. Congrats everyone who entered this awesome minichallenge, some of my favorite Ch.4 builds yet were in this round.
  7. Wonderful vegetation and superb irregular base as always! Really like that third photo, shows just how crazy thick that jungle is. Very nice enter, definitely one of the best!
  8. Excellent entry MKJosh, and the first I believe in this challenge?! Sweet looking castle gate and the Trojan Horse is a perfect idea here (I'm glad your troops remembered to get in the horse before the Ulanders found it ). Great work man!
  9. Fantastic counter LordDan, this is a top notch presentation. I love the transformation of the warlock, and the way he busts through the wall afterwards. Sweet build and awesome idea!
  10. Wonderful landscaping and vegetation, those tan/dark tan rocks look perfectly like worn sandstone pillars. I think the vegetation blends in nicely with the sandstone. Besides, what really looks out of place when it comes to fantasy landscaping? Definitely another superb entry for the Desert King!
  11. Thanks again! Thanks Basiliscus! I've been trying to focus on the Desert King's more compassionate side in a few of these recent builds! Thanks Behemoth! The technique is simple, I use a solid background. It goes under the build and bends up behind it so there's no seam.
  12. Thanks for the feedback guys! Yes, it appears no one was fully prepared for this kind of jungle warfare. I had originally planned on building a scene depicting the Ulandians and High Council hacking through the jungle, completely unawares they were about to stumble into one another.
  13. Awesome base to this build, the waterfall also looks great. The Red Talon is pretty ferocious as well, nice entry!
  14. Awesome looking fig and battlescene, the curved retaining wall in the sewer is fantastic! I'm glad Kauket is on our side!
  15. Great story, seems like Adira is certainly falling on some hard times, especially involving bodies of water! The photo is a little rough (extra hairdos in the background ), but presents some awesome forced perspective. Very clever build, the fig posing is great - I like the one guy looking back at the burning ship. Nice counter!
  16. Good look landscaping and nice choice in colors here, Maxim! The olive cheese slopes are a nice touch, as is that sweet looking totem!
  17. Great looking beast! This should make for a fun but challenging counter. Very cool how you got Ageven to sit on the bull like that.
  18. Nice landscaping in such a small area, and the tree looks great! Nice job on the figs too
  19. Great looking warrior there, and a nice amount of landscaping in such a small area. Nice entry!
  20. My champion to represent the Desert King at the Lonely Mountain Rumble: Salah al-Din
  21. Salah ad-Din felt honored when he was chosen to represent the Desert King alongside other warriors at the Lonely Mountain Rumble. Growing up in the nearby town of Dompei-un'Erezhi, he longed to return and show off his status as a warrior in the Desert King's army. For ad-Din, the Desert King had been a savior. He had squandered his youth as a brawler and simple laborer, hardly able to provide for his wife and two children. When they were killed by the volcanic explosion, he vowed to find a purpose in his life. He blamed Ulandus for the Great Disturbance, and the High Council for its vacillation in the days after. Ad-Din saw the Desert King as the only legitimate choice, not just for vengeance but also to return Kaliphlin to its days of glory. His strength became famous among the ranks of the Desert King, and it was no surprise when his name was announced to attend the Lonely Mountain Rumble. At this feat of strength, ad-Din is determined to demonstrate what mighty power lies in all who worship the Desert King.
  22. What a fantastic and lively entry Kai, awesome work! That fireball is brilliant!
  23. Another great build, and a good counter for sure! Nice looking derricks, and the pig-powered system is a funny touch. Brutal stuff. I'm just glad Osric's on our side!
  24. That's some good looking landscaping and bamboo there, but I especially like that sweet monument. Nice entry, glad to see the Desert King is making such a fine showing in the Nestlands!
  25. Great entry Garmadon, rockwork and landscaping is well done! There is a great contrast between the desperate looking rebels (just boys, by the looks of it?) and the mighty Ulanders marching in step. It really brings this build to life, and puts Ulandus' tyranny on full display!
