  1. Welcome to EB! Where are you from (Holland I guess from your accent). You did a very nice job!
  2. We do :) (search "blinds" for examples on our site). We don't let you buy absurd quantities of course. (we also have other transparent stickers in virtually all colors, some colors need a white backing for better results, darker inks will not shine through). We most often print two layers of white to get the desired density for blinds / train numbers etc on both transparent LEGO and normal bricks.
  3. Very nice train indeed!!! I also like the stop buffer lantern sticker!!!
  4. It is better than the LEGO mistake: "Soap met Worst" from the instructions (011.jpg)! @Alois, nice job!!! And nice stickers ;)
  5. Great job Barduck, hope to see it for real on a next BeLUG event!
  6. Thanks for all your kind comments! I did not use the spring suspension zephyr, that would be even better of course indeed, it is now a little low on the road and. I also agree white rims maybe look better, in fact my original version also used white rims, but I changed it to yellow to match the originals a bit more. I also should have changed the flashing light to one with a round tile, makes it a bit more modern I think. The background is custom made (just some adobe illustrator work, quite simple to do actually). Hard to see, but the printer did a lousy job (probably the material is too greasy, I'll ask my supplier what I could do about that), I used static adhesive material (without the normal sticker adhesive).
  7. yups that would be great indeed, difficult to do with LEGO I guess, although there asre some promising new parts of course (curved plates 1x2 and 2x2).
  8. Inspired by the good old 4546 and 4525: The wheels are retractable of course like the originals. I have included enough accessories to keep the maintenance guy busy for a while ;) The front has a classic Unimog style with chevrons and the famous <-O-> logo. Plenty of room in the back to hold all the tools. Also some room on top for the wrench. It actually also has flashlights at the back to be able to let the vehicle work at night. I'm still thinking about powering one and make the flashing light above the cabin actually really flash. Hope you like it. Like always I also made a LDD model for it: LEGO LDD Lxf File (B.t.w. it has been done before by Sinner and others: EB Link)
  9. It would help if you provide us with some context that would help, I mean I know James Mathis, but not all do, apart from that it would be helpful to have the general context: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=134719
  10. Strange those tracks under 'electric parts' and under train parts, the electric parts don't have clips like the real ones do.
  11. Looks great!!! you are doing a great job, we still need to come back to that coffee date ;) b.t.w. also check the Teensy, they are small, cheap and very powerful compared to the Mega.
  12. Nice job LT12V! maybe some hints: wouldn't warm white LED's be even better, and I would suggest some heat shrink tube for isolation. You could also replace the switch by a reed sensor + magnet (to hide it completely). I really like your motor setup etc!!!
  13. Nice job SvandeW, why don't you also take the time and introduce yourself here at Eurobricks? Are you also member of other LEGO communities?
  14. Nice start Wolfcraft! Difficult train to (re)make I think!

    Stickers?

I don't hate stickers, I hate that stickers have their limits, but that pushed us to start our dedicated printing shop. Printing on bricks also has it's limits: a. it will severely limit the use of the particular brick b. prints will also fade The most important limits of stickers can be overcome by reprinting / reproducing them :)
  16. So remember, go always to Philippe (I mean his philohome site) first if you have any question about motors or other electrical LEGO parts ;)
  17. Welcome to EB and Train Tech Wolfcraft! Depends on what you want and like of course! Tell us more about your LEGO history, collection and thinks you like, so we have a better idea.
  18. Greet job BMW, the stickers work very well, I should have a look at that although I'm more into classic trains.
  19. Haha ;) yups I would prefer at least PHP and/or C(++) or a little Java. Most of the time I work with Arduino / GCC right now and some cocoa for iOS. But on topic: nam7340: I hope you got the message, it doesn't really matter what adapter you use as long it is around 9V - 12VAC and can draw 200mA or more (more is advised I think).
  20. maybe you could post pictures of the inside?!
  21. indeed you need to convert it from the wave will also indeed cost some juice, I'm a computer science guy and they tend to be sloppier than electrical engineers with such a things is my experience :)
  22. @1974, no it is 10 VAC, that is because of diodes (inside the LEGO regulator unit, that rectify the AC to DC) that cause a power drop of about 1V, so otherwise the actual maximum voltage to the trains would be 8V instead of 9V if one would use a 9V AC adapter!
  23. Indeed 220 or 110 V doesn't matter, but the adapter needs to convert it from 220 / 110 V AC to 10V AC (not DC like 1974 says), the regulator itself will convert it from 10V AC to 9V DC.
  24. We want to see pictures of course ;)
