  1. Nice job! Did you base it on an actual train?
  2. Hi Gabe, thanks! Cotton Duck Canvas. Hmm, how would I translate that into Dutch ;) Katoen Eend Canvas I guess, but I don't think they sell that here. Recently I did a test with fabric transfers on a cotton baby jumper and that worked very well, so maybe I could also do it for sails etc. Good for the summer vacation :)
  3. indeed, a decoupler is not very good at all, I always wanted it as a kid, as an adult I got one and I was rather disappointed! There are alternatives for stopping lights of course (like DIY).
  4. Would be great for a tutorial those sails!! Magnificent job b.t.w!!!
  5. It is like the folks in Lilyput from Gulliver's Travels! The big endians opened they eggs on the big side, the little endians on the small side. Hence the computer term big endian vs. little endian (interpreting bits from left to right or the other way around).
  6. very nice indeed! great stickers, although you could add some logo's to show when the van is closed...
  7. quite nice idea indeed :) nice crossover!
  8. Nice set! Superb review! (of course ;))
  9. Looks very nice Fabulander!
  10. great job! I also tried it some years ago, but my steering did not went well. This seems to go very smoothly!
  11. Very nice cmwcampbell!!! 567, that is a great number ;)
  12. thanks for the suggestion, but I might overlook it, but I can't see the kind of materials. My print supplier (vinyl, transfer material, ink, etc), has a whole lot of stuff (material for flags etc. etc.), but not the material for LEGO capes. The only thing I could think of is screen curtains that are used for windows, that is very close I think.
  13. nice job BruceW4yne!
  14. Very nice review and nice set too! Already a must have for me for the stickers... The stickers are very nice I think ;) Also really reminds me of my childhood ages of course! Especially the little robots. Maybe subconsciously they are the reason for me to teach robotics ;)
  15. Well I asked to get it front-paged, but, I can ask it again ;) 56 hours to go, I don't think the target will be reached. I'm already amazed to see 5 people backing with 1000$. Even if I would have it lying around I'm not sure if I would do that, they might be resellers of course, that would make sense, but anyway, 79.000$ is a lot of money for a niche product.
  16. In bricklink you can sort: "highest quantity".
  17. yups, sorry about that, I indeed just imagined that it was a 12V set! Then you should take a different approach: - use a multimeter to check what comes out of the battery box! - check a different motor if possible
  18. that is a great train and you did a great job in transforming it into ABS!!!
  19. yes that is what you said, but... you don't mention how you test the motor, only on the tracks, or also using the output from the motor connecting it to the transformer, touching wires to the copper contacts and see how it reacts then... we can not see in your LEGO room, so if you don't give us very specific details it will be very hard to guess the problem. It might be the brushes, but I'm not sure since you don't give us enough details.
  20. I don't use RCX anymore so not very useful for me, it has a uC that is too old for my taste. Some yellow bricks are just lying there as a legacy ;) Arduino is so much easier, but of course doing it with RCX is also a nice challenge and I appreciate your quest :)
  21. aha, that was a new one for me, C-like I reckon?! I should try that extra address space using Arduino, but I'm afraid that the problem is that both the current receiver and the remotes don't incorporate it.
  22. "I tried code in bibo to test" can you elaborate on that, looks like chinese to me ;) Apart from that: if something is in a protocol, that doesn't mean that the devices that use the protocol implement all features.
  23. Could you be a little more specific?! What does the motor do if you connect it to a cable (directly from the transformer?!).
  24. and... as soon as picture leak they will be published / linked here too, just like previous years so that's the thing. B.t.w. I'm not sure but most AFOL's don't go on the inside tour, it is very expensive and they prefer tours with other AFOL's.
