  1. Is is just me or are some of the prints of lackluster quality? It's especially noticeable on some of the characters who bare their teeth grinning. The white print looks incomplete.
  2. Not bad, byt they seem a bit plain to me. It's almost 100% plates, maybe you could try adding some other pieces, like round plates, grilles and cheese slopes to make them more interesting?
  3. Hello, Recently I've bought the 75523 Scarif Stormtrooper set and I have a few nitpicks about it. Is it just me, or are the legs on these action figures awfully stiff and hard to pose? The little dark bluish gray friction pieces seem to be the problem here. The feet on my own trooper barely even move because the pieces give so much unnecessary friction, also making the legs longer than they should be. I had some difficulties putting on the foil "skirt" piece, despite following the manual really closely. I was about to give up and not put it on him, but I eventually succeeded. I still think there is too much strain on the foil piece and fear it would tear someday. Last but not least, a problem related only to my copy of the set - the main printed torso piece had a small, but noticeable dent on the chest, probably too small to ask LEGO for a replacement part. I know the trooper is supposed to look dirty and battered by the sandy terrain and so it shouldn't bother me that much, but I still wanted to bricklink a new torso... until I noticed the set is not yet inventoried on BL. Any ideas where could I get the piece?
  4. Seriously? I mean, seriously?
  5. Ugh... You should clean your bricks, mate. I haven't seen this much filth since I lived in a flat with some college kids...
  6. I really like this AT-ST, but the legs seem a bit overgreebled, they appear too detailed compared to the "real" thing.
  7. I tried using the 1x3 curved slopes, but it looked really bad, making the whole thing look unnecessarily wide. And 3s' are pretty much the only curved slopes available in magenta.
  8. Thanks, guys! This is my first Elves MOC, but hopefully not the last, as I plan to build an entire elf village in the future, with more houses like this, a tavern, a herb shop and more.
  9. Do you mean no roof at all? XD This is pretty much the only gripe I have about the official sets - the buildings have no roofs, just some curved slopes at the front making it look like there is a roof.
  10. Sorry, it sounded like you meant the piece itself. As for the set itself, it's great! I wonder if it could be expanded by adding the structure from 41179 and the evil fountain from the Fire Dragon set? One thing that bugs me, though, is the fact that Ragana's throne is located outside the castle tower, which seems kinda impractical.
  11. Azari the Fire Elf is homeless in canon, so I decided to build her a house, heavily modding the main part of 10245 Santa's Workshop. Sorry for the poor quality photos, I might replace them with better ones later!
  12. It actually debuted a year earlier, in 2011 - it's a Ninjago skeleton (Skulkin) arm.
  13. Are they really genuine LEGO pieces? Some clone companies can even replicate the LEGO logo.
  14. I wanted to choose "none" and yet still have to choose an option why I prefer one of them?
  15. Nice MOD, but I don't think it really adds that much. You might try to take a photo at night, with lights turned off.
  16. This is simply outstanding! Bought the Starlight Inn set recently and was going to build a larger version myself, but it will be extremely hard to top this one...
  17. Looks great. Nice part usage!
  18. This is so big and realistic looking! It seems heavy, though, so it probably can't be swooshed around easily...
  19. Thank you for the positive feedback! This is pretty much my first Adventurers MOC after coming out of the Dark Age and I'm happy with how it turned out.
  20. I’ve always been a fan of Adventurers and the classic Tomb Raider game series, so I decided to try and build something reminiscent of the Indian episode from TR3 or Angkor Wat prologue from TR4. The result is a lost temple somewhere in the jungle of Southeast Asia, a temple where a bloodthirsty goddess used to be worshipped. Will the famous archaeologist Clara Roft manage to snatch the diamond the goddess guards and escape her wrath? I used up almost all basic pieces (bricks, modified bricks) in DBG I got in my collecion. No working traps trademark for both Adventurers and the TR series, I’m afraid, but I felt their inclusion would disturb the overall flow of this fairly small model. The center piece with Kali’s throne and the diamond slides in and out. 21. Basically a heavily modified HulkBuster (emphasis on "heavily"). Not much to say here. I'm currently working on a lighter scout version, with an open cockpit shielded by a windscreen.
  22. Oh my, loving that imperial technician in the Battlefront BP. One thing I'm not quite sure, is his cap Dark Bluish Grey or Black? If it's black, it'd be pretty sweet. The Carbon Freezing Chamber seems pretty boring, but the minifigures are awesome, as well as the abundance of Trans Orange pieces. The gun station in the Hoth Attack set seems pretty well done. What in the world is 75140? Looks like some kind of a prototype B-Wing without folding out wings. I think I can see old Leia and Ackbar here, but the other two minifigs are weird. 75142 - an almost exact remake of the Homing Spider Droid from 2013, the only difference being a stud shooter as the lower gun, with a battle droid, a Kashyyyk Trooper and EP II version of Yoda?
  23. At this scale it's as accurate as it can be. If I decided to make the body bigger, I'd have to increase the size of the wings, using slopes not available in any set.
  24. Seems about right to me.
  25. ...or My Little UCS (kinda). At last, the parts I was missing arrived and I was able to finish it. I’ve been working too long on this MOC, which I built as a tribute to dmac’s version of the shuttle that eventually, after some tweaks, became an official set. The much smaller scale made designing it pretty challenging. It’s roughly the size of the original set from 2001 and mostly childproof. Initially I wanted it to be Palpatine’s personal shuttle with its distinct grey stripe on the front of the cockpit, but couldn’t find a way to separate hinge plates and make them two-color. The wings do fold out, the double blaster cannons move as they should. The landing gear is only for show and must be removed manually when going into “flight mode”. The model lacks a boarding ramp, but the small non-minifig scale makes it redundant anyway. Looks way better in person than on these poor quality photos. My X-Wing was somehow easier to shoot... http://orig13.deviantart.net/4e82/f/2015/277/3/e/imperial_shuttle_01_by_goshi_kun-d9bwfna.png http://orig14.deviantart.net/3e5f/f/2015/277/7/4/imperial_shuttle_02_by_goshi_kun-d9bwfti.png http://orig03.deviantart.net/714e/f/2015/277/4/5/imperial_shuttle_03_by_goshi_kun-d9bwfxi.png http://orig04.deviantart.net/574e/f/2015/277/c/5/imperial_shuttle_04_by_goshi_kun-d9bwg6x.png http://orig11.deviantart.net/179b/f/2015/277/5/d/imperial_shuttle_05_by_goshi_kun-d9bwgi9.png http://orig06.deviantart.net/9931/f/2015/277/9/4/imperial_shuttle_06_by_goshi_kun-d9bwgm9.png http://orig08.deviantart.net/4059/f/2015/277/3/0/imperial_shuttle_07_by_goshi_kun-d9bwgsz.png http://orig00.deviantart.net/a7ca/f/2015/277/3/c/imperial_shuttle_08_by_goshi_kun-d9bwh2b.png http://orig05.deviantart.net/428f/f/2015/277/a/e/imperial_shuttle_09_by_goshi_kun-d9bwhcx.png http://orig09.deviantart.net/fdd9/f/2015/277/3/2/imperial_shuttle_10_by_goshi_kun-d9bwhiw.png Comments and critiques appreciated!
