The ball joints will never support the weight, I'm afraid. it doesn't change the fact that the render is very nice, though.

I don't get why people seem to love the new X-Wing windscreen mould. I think it looks awfully inaccurate. It is supposed to narrow a bit towards the front, not widen. For me it's the biggest wasted opportunity of all time. I really hoped for a new mould, but not something like this. Nice color scheme and cleverly built engines on this new X-Wing. The torso prints on the Resistance pilots are excellent, but the helmet designs and faceprints are kinda ugly compared to the classic OT Rebel pilots. Kanjiklub Gang? Seriously? Looks like the enemies are a bunch of weeaboos who want to learn the Japanese alphabet. The day hardcore fans learn to appreciate Episode I in all its jarjarish glory draws near, I tell you. I mean, it wasn't a bad movie, right?

The X-Wing. One of the most iconic crafts in the SW universe. I must say I really like building various Star Wars vehicles in a smaller, non-minifig scale (is it called “midi” scale?). At first it was mostly due to my limited shelf space, but I’ve grown to appreciate what you can do when you don’t have to squeeze a minifigure into the ship. The windshield is just a sand blue wedge with some homemade stickers, but I think it looks pretty nice. The nose isn’t 100% accurate, I know, but it’s near impossible to give it the right shape AND keep it sturdy enough to still be able to swoosh the fighter around. Not any particular Red Squadron unit, but the astromech head is Theron Nett’s (Red 10). What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Corydoras replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
You mean 75016, not 75077? Just switch the grey frictionless pins to black with friction to fix the legs. -
The battle droids heads used as ornaments... Oh irony!

[SW] Evolution of the X-Wing or reboot version?
Corydoras replied to sparkart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sad X-Wing is sad... But seriously, this looks like a nice concept design. -
What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Corydoras replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
7159 Podracer Bucket, the original Sith Infiltrator... A "worst SW sets" topic already exists, I believe. -
A lambda-class shuttle, as seen on my avatar (not the final version, though).

[LDD][MOC][Micro] B-Wing - X-wing - Y-Wing - Millennium Falcon
Corydoras replied to samlr's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Really great! Could you please show a close-up of the X-Wing? It seems like an improvement from the latest micro version. Also, I can't figure out how the wings are attached to the main body. -
The captain's gun looks like a fire extinguisher... At first I was hyped for this battlepack, but as time passed I began to dislike TCW and decided not to buy it.

When are the constraction figures going to be released? Along with the summer wave?

The seller is located in my little home town, that's how I stumbled upon this offer.

Just found this little gem, look at it: http://olx.pl/oferta/klocki-space-wars-272-elementy-kompatybilne-z-klockami-lego-CID88-ID9voX1.html#cc5c2e6b0f Obi-Wan fighting Revan instead of Grievous... How cool is that? XD If there is a topic on LEGO Star Wars knockoffs already, please merge.

Not bad, even though I'd certainly have some trouble recognizing this ship. I think I like the official set version better.
-
WOW, looks amazing... Amazing and 100% accurate. I wonder how different color versions would look like...

Whoa, whoa, whoa! When did I insult/belittle/humiliate/harass other members exactly? I didn't attack anyone personally. I adressed an issue and was called a kid and a troll just because my opinion seems unpopular. If anyone has the rights to feel offended here, it's me. I also feel bad when people bash the constraction figures, which I really like. So, is it okay to hate on them but not on TFA? You've got a point here. However, the changes seem so minor I feel it's just for the sake of aesthetics, not functionality. If both sides of the conflict were really short on money, they shouldn't have done any changes at all. The gap between the prequels and ANH is just 19 years and the progress is amazing, so that's not really a good argument. The white solar panels on TIEs might be justified (new material - more efficient or durable?), but I'd rather see something different this time. Give me the Chiss clawcraft or Predator-class fighter, just rename them, like they did with AT-AR (calling it "AT-DP" and putting it in Rebels), I can't really complain on the LEGO sets despite having no interest in the Disney reboot. At least we could have something fresh, never before seen in the movies, yet familiar-looking at the same time (the "eyeball" cockpit). Sadly, what we'll most likely get is a standard TIE redesigned to look more smexy... Sure, I may seem bitter, but I still have problems accepting the fact that what brought me back to Star Wars - the original canon EU/Legends universe - is discontinued in favor of shows for children and pointless reboots. For me, episodes VII, VIII and IX will forever be the Thrawn Trilogy and Dark Empire. I really tried to stay as optimistic as the most of you and hype for Episode VII, but there were instances in the past when I was super excited for a movie and analyzed every frame of a trailer only to get extremely disappointed a few months later. Try to understand and respect it. Okay, I think I've said enough. No more complaints for a while.

Thanks for making me feel young again, lol. I honestly thought the new canon (TCW, Rebels) is the immature "kiddie" stuff, but this is just my opinion and you have the rights not to agree with it. What I was trying to say is: the vehicles look 99% the same as the ones in OT, just like new models of Iphones are almost indistinguishable to me. People tend to get angry when redesigns of sets we already had pop up, but suddenly can't wait for new x-wings and TIE fighters just because they are marketed under the TFA logo. Let's face it: Episode VII is there just to help sell the same stuff over and over again. The prequels at least came with a variety of new and original designs that often were "linked" to the stuff we knew, looked familiar but at the same time managed to stay unique - ARC-170 -> X-wing; V-wing, Jedi interceptor -> TIE fighter; Venator, Acclamator - > Imperial-class ISD... Not to mention the droid army vehicles, which totally got me with how creative and interesting they were. Once again: this is just my opinion. You can go ecstatic over the Rebels and TFA as much as you want, but don't try to steal my rights to be here and complain as much as I want. Peace.
-
Why are you even so excited about the TFA sets? Its the same old stuff over and over again, just with a few cosmetic changes that don't really make any difference. Examples? Here you go: An X-wing with slightly modified wings and engines? WOW, how original. A Lambda shuttle that looks like it lost the central wing? WOW, how original. TIE fighters with white and not black solar panels? WOW, how original! A star destroyer that looks exactly like Imperial-class ISD? Darth Revan with a different name, a silver stromtrooper/Boba Fett wannabe? Hype hype hype hype hype! The new teaser trailer? BOOOOOOOORING! Believe me or not, I really got bored watching it. I don't even remember getting bored watching a trailer for a movie since a certain Korean sci-fi horror flick, can't remember the title.

Polis Massa.

Wow, the Infiltrator looks... awful. Absolutely awful. Now I really regret not getting the previous one.
-
So maybe you could go hype somewhere else? In Culture and Multimedia, perhaps? Sorry if this sounds rude, but I have zero interest in this upcoming movie and I'm already tired of reading tons of posts about it in this topic, which should be about LEGO sets only.

Why quoting the first post in its entirety?

So... They are, like, benders and Emily Jones is, like, the new Avatar? Ad the Elves must, like, teach her how to bend all four elements? I must say I really like the looks of this theme! So magical...

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Corydoras replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Do different "planet" pieces connect without problems? I was thinking about using two bottom halves of the Death Star to make the head of a Tri Droid - is it even possible? -
The shuttle looks really nice, even though the cockpit seems a bit too big. Constraction Vader is awesome - an instant buy for me! Not so sure about Luke, though. Constraction system fits droids, cyborgs and characters who wear armor (remember, we'll be getting Jango Fett, Grievous and Cody as well!), but regular human characters not so much. Luke's head is markhamillish enough, but the rest of the body, expecially the crotch area, seems kinda lackluster.
