cool build! Love the tire tracks. But eating at that table must horrible

I see your problem now, it helps to look at it on the computer and not my phone That is a tough one! I am thinking soluton 3 wolud be optimal, but very tricky. Excellent hinges by the way, I have tried what you did, putting the studs in technic bricks before, and yes that is strong! Now I can't stop thinking how to make these arms work.... PS That punk Spunkmeyer should know better than leaving his tools in front of an air intake Edited: I get it, poor kid

Ah, ok, I thought it was the actual arm that wasn't strong enough, not the hinge. Well, if I have any new ideas, I'll be sure to let you know :)

I found these pictures old one of our old computers and thought to post them here. they are from arond 2010 and have just been laying around since then. Unfortunately I only had the camera on my phone, so the picture quality sucks. I would love to do some new photos one day, but I think only one of them still exists. Here is Hicks http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0097.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0102.jpg And here is Vasquez http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0119.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0108.jpg Here is Hudson http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0221.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/muni/brickarms-mods/billede0225.jpg Game over man, game over!!! I am sorry, i guess technically, I was trolling there. I will now proceed to report myself.

A suggestion for the missile holder arms, you could base it on some technic lift arms and put some tile on the ends on some half pins. That should be pretty solid. I hope that makes sense:)

Very nice tribute to the BURP! I don't quite understand how people don't like this piece. I have never really used it myself, but only because I have never built anything with lots of rocks. I would definedly BURP it if I did, but also put some extra dark greyes on here and there and maybe other colors, and some plant parts to not make it look like URP's.

Really awesome! This is by far the most accurate and detailed Cheyenne I have seen, and I have seen a lot:) I think the cockpit and nose are absolutely amazing, but hard to say what is my favorite detail.

I think it's the illuminati and the masons, they own the internet :0

Wow, that's a lot of work. I admire your patience! I have tried LDD a few times, and all it does is make me want to break something. But this is quite spectacular, and really makes me want to play GTA for some reason;)

It's hard to tell from the photo, but Lego has made both types
-
Very cool little moc, interesting idea:) I don't see any forced perspective, just regular natural perspective
-
Great idea! I may not agree with cutting it, but I have never thought of using that part for SNOT.

I would think the plastic is the problem. I have never seen that part break before, and they have cracks in different places. If it was stress from the stud underneath I would not expect it to crack at the corner as one of yours did.

Compatability of lego and duplo bricks?
emilstorm replied to emilstorm's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks a lot, that was exactly what I had in mind. I guess my google-fu was mighty weak:) was planning on a city moc with an underground, and thought duplo would be ideal for creating the structures under the baseplates since only one surface of them will be visible anyway:) -
Hello my fellow builders! Does anybody have experience with mixing Duplo's and Lego in a build? It looks like a 2x2 would fit on top of a duplo stud, and it would save me some bricks on large moc's. It might even make them stronger too. I just don't want to waste money on getting some if it doesn't work:)

WARNING: Don't soak your classic castle minifigs!
emilstorm replied to emilstorm's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's about 20, but they were some of my favorites:( Yea I know it's some harsh stuff, but they were covered in a layer of calcium from the water I soaked them in 3 years ago, so I thought it would be perfect. Thanks, I will definedly try that next time:) and you certainly have my full respect for building by mouth! -
WARNING: Don't soak your classic castle minifigs!
emilstorm replied to emilstorm's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It was the mildest stuff I could find, but still to strong:( after having a second look the black falcons will be ok, the first ones I looked at turned out to be old and just worn down. But all the armor is still gone on the others... -
I pretty much just lost my whole collection of classic castle minifigs:( some years ago my basement was flooded, and the dirty water got into a bag containing most of my armies. I haven't had time to clean them till now, so last night I put them in some water with a little bit of toilet cleaner because if the sewage, and let them soak overnight. This morning I woke up and learned the hard way that, apparently that mix dissolves the paint used for metallic print. So pretty much all black falcons and scaled armors are gone. So don't try that at home....

I have a suggestion to make this topic a little more user friendly. If there was a list or index of previous suggestions it would help a lot. Maybe even a pole of some sort to support other suggestions and give an impression of what the market demands :)

So nice to see some of Copenhagen in Lego, that is what I build myself:) my favorite parts would have to be the main entrance and the castle, very accurate, det er som at være der selv :)
-
The front is spot on! Very Nice work :)

Very nice work, definedly very close to the original. I always loved that ship, sort of a mix between a deep sea fish and an insect :)
