  1. Sweet, challenge three is looking pretty rad! I'll admit, I paused that video a lot to look at the builds in detail... And good choice in music too.
  2. Ah, ok. I suppose I can understand that. I love any and all middle earth related things, so I like both trilogies, though there are things with each that I'm not a fan of. But LOTR will always be my all time favorite movies, and books. The Hobbit is still cool though.
  3. Cool temple mate! I really like the blue dome on the pillars, it looks very nice.
  4. Wow, I've been inactive due to busy-ness for a little while, and I see I've missed a ton of great builds, but there's just to many to comment on. So I'll just say here (as someone else did recently I think), great builds all of you! I'll hopefully be able to keep up with new builds after today. As for me, I'm still working on task 5, but I've got to that point where I'm lacking ideas, pieces, and time. And all the rest of the build kind of hinges on me completing certain parts first, so I can't move on and come back later...
  5. I love this Deathleech, if only something like it would get produced by lego... I'd buy as many of the UHA/MEA style battle packs as I could afford, most likely. Not to hijack the topic or anything, but I'm really curious why you didn't like LOTR?
  6. Great review Z, I'm pretty sure I'll be picking this up sometime, if just for the minifigs and pieces.
  7. Ha, great minifigures, they look perfect, and they're instantly recognizable!
  8. The different layers of sedimentary rock is perfect here Kabel! I also like the vulture, it looks quite nice.
  9. Lovely Longhouse SK! The structure is just beautiful, and all of the intricate details look amazing on the exterior as well as the interior! And then you throw that frost dragon in there... Great job!
  10. Indeed, quite gruesome, fits in perversely perfectly with Nocturnus... Anyways.... Good job with the story, and nice build and minifigs, they look really good!
  11. I think this actually looks really nice for having limited pieces. The guy on the raft reminds me of Huckleberry Fin for some reason... Must be the raft.
  12. This is shaping up to look really good! Can't wait to see what you make of it.
  13. Beautiful cottage, there's so much to like here! I love the rock and wall texturing, along with the dark orange for roof, amazing job!
  14. Haha, I didn't know that Robin Hood was from Historica! Nice job with this build, the log across the path looks really good, and I like the wagon design!
  15. Ooh, this looks really cool Narbilu! I also love the norse style and influence here! One suggestion though, and this is just something you could try if you want, but I think the blue water almost looks a little bit too bright for this scene; maybe you could try putting light grey under the trans clear plates? I just think it might work more for the misty foggy island feel. YMMV though.
  16. Good job with this, Behemoth. It's nice to see your Zar-Ifrikt coming to life in some builds!
  17. Great scene ME! I really like the ground colors and textures, to me they look very realistic for a mountain with scree and moss. It actually looks a lot like the landscape on some of the mountains that I've gone up/on (not all the way to the top mind you), so nice job on making it realistic!
  18. Ooh, are we going to get to see the battle at the Black Gate? Nice job so far!
  19. Hmm, hard to say. Some colors to try might be reddish brown, using 1x2 palisade/log bricks, or you could try dark brown. Also, dark tan or dark red might work, though I don't know if that would clash with the tan and reddish brown of the actual building?... There's also the traditional black, I suppose.
  20. This looks sweet DG! Great job with the bustling streets, and the varying shops, like the barrel maker, and the inn. And it's a small thing, but I really like the below ground doorway with the rail and the stairs leading down to it, it looks pretty cool.
  21. This really looks great, but also like something lego would actually do! I like the variations in style, like the snowy climate vs dessert climate, nice job.
  22. I'd personally like to see a more eastern castle line, maybe based off of Byzantium, or something along those lines. Then you could do a mix of more "classic" soldiers crossed with an eastern style (maybe put the Rohan helm to use here), and some Arab-style warriors, as has been mentioned. Then they could avoid the Eastern/Arab warrior vs Western soldier reference. I'd also like to see an early post-roman Britain style theme, to vary from the traditional "knights in shining armor themes" they tend to do, maybe drawing from some celtic influences. Think along the lines of "Beowulf", or something similar. They could utilize more short swords, the "new" spears, and circular shields (like the celtic warrior from the CMF line's shields), leather and chain mail armors, and have them fight mystical creatures, like trolls, (smaller) dragons, goblins, etc. like you see from early lore. Maybe they could throw in elves?... That'd be my ideal line anyways.
  23. Ah, nice tools! I especially like the bellows, clever idea with those! I think I would put a 1x4 tile on top though, instead of the plate, but that's just me.
  24. Ah, I see what you did, nice job! And I third the motion!
  25. I love the shield wall, nice job with that! It's cool to see some viking style fighting techniques. And great job on the water!
