  1. I thought the same thing when I saw that. I think it could be a cool line, if they did something like a continuation of the fantasy era, accept using the elflands.
  2. This is probably the most likely reason. They could have put one named character in a set like WKB, and had the rest generic soldiers for an army builder. I'm sure that would cover the named character deal.
  3. Ha, thanks man, glad I got the seal of approval! Thank you Scaevola! The posing was hard, because the wyvern was almost to heavy to support itself, so it took a lot of patience. Thanks Jorrith! About the pics, at least you have an excuse, my camera is pretty new! Thanks mate! One of my main problems is they tend to fall apart easily, due to my questionable connections in various places...
  4. Really cool Wedge! The stained glass is cool, as well as the interior.
  5. Very cool Rolli! Awesome way to make it look undead, and great use of parts to get the shape!
  6. Awesome story line and builds Narbilu!
  7. Great minifig posing! And the stands for the crowd and announcer are nicely done.
  8. My entry, The Mountain Wyvern. Than you so much for unlimited overhang, ZC!
  9. Nice job Thomas! I like the yellow and black striping, it worked really well!
  10. Another great temple from you Mike! The walls and side roofing are great, and I love the trees!
  11. Thanks for the encouragement MKJ. I don't think I'll give up, though I don't find BBBs entirely fun... Thanks Behemoth, it ended up bigger than I was originally thinking. Glad you like the wings and tail! I decided to give it tail wings to give it more "stability" in flight. Ha, yeah it does kind of look like toothless now that you mention it! And thanks for the advice on the photography. I would try to photograph outside, but it's usually just not practical to haul my builds outside, and set everything up out there. I usually set up right under some windows, to get as much natural light as I can, but it just doesn't seem to be enough. Thanks vitreolum! Thanks mate! Thank you Slobey! I guess I'm somewhat of a perfectionist, so I tend to be pretty critical of myself. Thanks Gunman! Thanks man! Thanks Hobbythom! Thanks a lot Carson!
  12. Wow. No more LOTR. I don't think I've ever cussed as much at one time as when I heard there was no add. It makes no sense. There's a part of me that still wants to believe we'll get another wave, since they have 2 new orc prints just for the Hobbit (since when have TLG ever done that?), but in my head I know it must really be over. Well, it was my favorite lego line ever (IMO the best lego line ever), and it brought me out of my semi-dark ages. I'll still be buying lego though, but probably not as much, unless there's a really good castle line coming up.
  13. Nice pictures, I'm liking the new orc(s). All of the minifigures are great as usual, though the battle of five armies tower structure isn't exactly a work of art, to put it nicely.
  14. Only builds with Gluten free bricks.

  15. Here's my "preview" of my Task 5 build -
  16. The Mountain Wyvern is an especially hardy breed of wyverns that has been caught and trained to carry scouts, and sometimes warriors. Their popularity as a scout mount originates partly from the fact that they tend to be dark colored, so they are hard to see at night, along with them being nearly silent when flying. Training one is a very hard task though, and requires a lot of resources (including a fair amount of gems and gold for the wyverns bed), so they are not very commonly used. But once trained and bonded with a rider, they are extremely loyal, and will defend them to the death. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not very good at brick built animal after this. Plus I dropped it or parts of it on the floor at least 5 times. And another round of crappy pic from me. I can never seem to get them right, anybody have any advice?
  17. Great little build mccoyed! I didn't know that lego made light grey and white tree pieces. They look sweet!
  18. I love the color scheme here! All of your builds have a very nice signature style Gunman, I really like it.
  19. Sweet build MkJ! I like the blue accenting, it works well! The fountain and lean-too are also very nice.
  20. Great job portraying the action. I like how you make him "lighter" to portray that he's moving fast.
  21. Lovely temple Mike! So many great techniques and details, and the overall shape is just beautiful!
  22. Good job on the dense foliage, it really works well. I actually kind of disagree with Garm and Mcc, as the mix of pine and deciduous trees is pretty usual in a forest.
  23. Great job on the tree, it looks very gnarled and old!
  24. I thought you were already Kaliphlinian?...
  25. Wow, both are awesome chapters! Great builds guys, I'm getting pretty psyched up about Challenge III! Ecc, any chance we can see an overall pic of the dwarven army? It looks pretty badass.
