 He's certainly not using Wordpress. Not that there's anything wrong with using it or not, for some reason I just found it funny that's he's basically as far away from any CMS as possible I know of a webhosing company which is very trustworthy. Family of me have been using it for like 20 years or so now and almost never had any problems. They have a €9,95 a month package with real unlimitded bandwith (although limited at 100.000 reqeusts a week) and support for a whole lot of technologies and whatever (in case you ever want to 'upgrade' the website). Maybe there are equivalent packages in the US? But, I also can imagine that it's easy that a friend is hosting your website. Ah well, I'm getting off-topic here I guess. -

Maybe you can try to find a hosting company with more or unlimited bandwidth? I know a few companies with hosting plans here in The Netherlands which have unlimited bandwidth and are far from expensive (think ~€5-€15) or have more than 100gb a month a few euros (a month). -

So, does that mean the front wheel-arch is printed? While I normally like printed parts over stickers, I do like panels to stay 'clean' so they are easier to use in other moc. Now we get printed panels -
The user who posted this (who wanted to 'remove' his name from Eurobricks, which isn't possible, you can still find it everywhere) decided due to reasons to leave EuroBricks and with him all his resources. I'll leave opinions about that to you...

I guess that's just marketing. I think they hope that by spreading the reviews over more than just sites that cover only Lego, they could attract new customers (who otherwise would've missed the Porsche set because they don't follow Lego-only websites. Yet... ). -

You could've forwarded the package to me. I have loads of free time this week. A few hours of school (college) and a few hours of work, for the whole week -
I would like to congratulate the winners. They've made some very nice models. But, I would also like to thank everyone for their participation in this contest. I would've given everyone a prize if I were able to. There were so many great models. I didn't vote myself (since I run the contest together with Superkalle), but if I would've, it would've been super hard for me to choose. Thanks everyone! Aside from that, we also learned some valuable lessons for a next contest. I can hardly imagine this will be the last one, so hopefully to everyone: until next time!

Well, I personally don't even like 'frikandelbroodjes', so it's certainly not a problem for me Regarding the steering: if it is as small as it seems to be, that's a big drawback (imho). Even if, as some people stated, it's meant as a show model, it's still a big negative point. I mean, why put all that technical detail in for example the gearbox and pedals behind the wheel, and then include such a horrible turning radius. -

Oh, I don't really have anything specific in mind. Just some nice, funny, epic, amazing, whatever Lego related images -

Hey VirtualRepublic Renderbricks! That VR looks fun. I can remember that someone else here on the forum, I believe bbqqq (but not sure), was also experimenting quite regularly a year ago or so with virtual reality (or at least interactive minifig-perspective images). Maybe you should dig into the forum a bit if you want to know more about that. Maybe a bit off topic, but any chance you'll render a few nice images in 3440x1440? I've got a new monitor, so your old ones don't fit anymore -

Anyone else getting a deja-vu when reading this? I sure hope that this Porsche set is going to be available just like every other set for at least a year or so. -
Generic Contest Discussion
legolijntje replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don't mean it negative. It's a joke, but I think most people here don't get it though But, a little more on topic: i'd like to see a contest that doesn't cover any vehicles (cars, excavators, trucks, wheel-loaders etc.), but machines. I personally find these much more interesting lately, because I've already seen so much of the other stuff. Think about things like PG52's spirograph (amazing!), or Nico71's clocks or mechanical calculators, or that ancient machine that wen viral a couple of years ago, or the airplane folding machine more recently, or all of uefchen's (or something like that ) creations. Stuff like that, there are still sooooo many possibilities (and on a side note, machines are easier to build, since you often don't have to replicate some real-life curves or shapes ). -

Well, out of experience (don't know if you get the joke ), I would recommend to word it like: 'Something that has no rolling wheels (including custom brick-built wheels) or tracks, that it uses to move in any direction, touching the ground'. -
I don't think the problem lies at LDCad's hoses, as I've used them before without any problems (in LPub). And it also loads perfectly fine within LDView... Have you tried deleting the LPub3D folder (the one containing the assem, parts, tmp and viewer folders) and then load your model again?

Well, technically speaking, yes, you would get disqualified; you've edited your entry after the deadline. However, Superkalle probably locks the entry topic after the deadline, so you won't be able to do anything anyway That's an interesting one, never thought of it that way. Whatever you do outside of your entry is up to you. However, it's a bit of a grey area if you link to another page that has a considerable lot more content that you keep updating. More pictures of the same models is not really a problem, the image limit is more in place to keep the entry topic manageable. More models, not sure about that. But after all, we can't control the internet, so just try to keep it fair. At least while the contest (voting) is still going on. After that, you may go wild of course.

That's strange. I've never encountered an LDraw file that was too big to open. How big is it!? -

Am I the only one who thinks the roof should've been a little longer on the Lego model? -

I was already wondering if they'd upload such a video. It's already removed again though. At least it says so for me...
