  1. Sure, I know that ZC stepped down multiple times. But I wanted to apply this stubborn logic Beerbeard has to show him that he isn't right. Anyway, I'm not trying to become ruler of Avalonia, I have way too many other things right now that keep stealing time from me and would keep me from doing the job properly.
  2. So, according to your logic, also the following would be true? 1. The person with the most bricks is the best builder? (Hint: Ask our dear Legonardo for that.) 2. The person with the biggest brain is automatically the most intelligent? 3. The person with the fastest car is automatically the best driver? ... X. The person with the most blather is the rightful king? Paha. I don't acknowledge your - if you want to call it this - claim at all. And: I won't stay under your rule at all. Favoring rebellion instead but thats another topic. And I suppose I'm not the only one. And: I was the only one except for ZC that won a challenge. Don't I have a rightful claim on the throne, too, if I would want it?
  3. So how do you want to prevent this without any rules? There are quite a few who have been with Avalonia since the start - I'm only one of them.
  4. Yeah. Thats like having a duel where one guy challenges you for a swordplay and you show up in a tank. Nonsense. Rules, maybe even two categories - one for the throne, one for his counselor - and then let the fun begin. Otherwise its just plain old anarchy - and whats the point in getting a new ruler then, I ask?
  5. Doing the math, your other half still fits the equation: (Me + 1) + (Miss Kyle + 1) + Grogall = 5. Depending on the stuff you're planning to buy (or bring) we'll have a game of advanced tetris on the way back though
  6. Interesting build. Lovely color choice and a nice take on the cheese slope roof. I still prefer 'my version' without the tiles as it looks more realistic but texture wise your version is much better! Your renders look quite nice though the white lines are bothering me. Also, the pearl gold looks almost like tan. The window on the left side of the house in the first picture looks a bit odd and 'lonely'. The facade is too even and uninteresting there. Other than that, nice build. I'm still waiting for some builds with real bricks from you, I bet they would be even better!
  7. As I have some unfinished business to take care of in Avalonia, I will stay for a bit. But ultimately the destination will be Nocturnus.
  8. Same here! (Does 48x48 count as 'little'? )
  9. Sure, why not? :) I guess its inevitable to cross Hamburg on the way to Billund - more or less ;) (No Munich for you next year? Sad. But that gives another reason to visit Hamburg :D )
  10. I am IN! So looking forward to the next event! Fingers crossed! Also: If you're going and want a ride, I'll go by car to Billund with my mom.
  11. Lovely scene! As Z mentioned you managed to include a bunch of nice techniques. Its very eye-pleasing, photography is nice, too. I don't like the visible tubes of the blue bricks but as it is just a module I know why it is that way. I'm looking forward to other scenes! Are these for the exhibition in Belgium? I started with my stuff for Berlin today and I'm actually running out of modified bricks for my wall technique just after the first building *Off to raid Bricklink once again*
  12. Since when are we doing free builds just because of the points? Where's the fun if I have to calculate if this moc gets more points if its in its seperate thread or not? Seriously, just my two cents, but I'm here for the building, not for the math. (Even though I am still stuck with sorting and not building right now )
  13. Great idea, I'd be in if we get it done before September. I don't have suitable ideas right now but I was developing some stuff for my own builds, maybe they can fit. I'll message you once I have something but feel free to add me to the list. And, I might be last, but: Congrats to you, ZC (or to your other half)! Kids are the single best reason to take a break from something in my opinion..!
  14. Would love to attend but I'm already skipping college for some days the week before so I have to sit out on this one. Maybe I can ship a building or something to someone who's attending but thats all I could do. I for myself will exhibit my Avalonian city layout in Berlin, Germany on the 17th and 18th of August on the 2nd Steinewahn event. Don't think that I posted this announcement here in the general thread. Feel free to attend, fellow German or European members!
  15. Lovely ravens and vegetation! This series keeps getting better and better!
  16. Kind of. The actor from Series 8 is a nod to Hamlet which is indeed part of one of Shakespeare's tragedies. I'm talking of a different minifig though. It has a different hairpiece similar to the grandpa from series 10.
  17. Wonderful trailer! Had my doubts but now I'm sooo looking forward to that movie! And theres a wonderful selection of potential CMFs in there: 1. A red Super Wrestler similar to the one from series 1 (0:24) 2. Shakespeare (0:24) 3. A panda bear (0:24) 4. Abraham Lincoln (0:39) 5. Michelangelo (0:44)
  18. Beautiful, love the idea! Nice landscaping and vegetation but the mushrooms are just outstanding! Best of luck with moving and stuff!
  19. I don't get it why we should open Varlyrio for membership. Apart from drawing members from the other guilds away it won't change anything. We all can create stories, builds and other stuff freely in Varlyrio, even characters. I find it to be way more interesting that way as you automatically have to do somekind of connection between V. and your 'home-state'.. But lets see how the whole thing ends.
  20. Ah, of course! My fault, I personally never used brickshelf. Lets wait then.. (impatiently )
  21. Yep, totally right. Not a big fan of my landscaping there but the bricks you see there is pretty much all the white stuff I have (or had - I don't know if my collection of white grew since then). When I posted it a year ago I had some bushes in the landscape but I had to take them away for something else and obviously forgot to put them in again.. The big roof has about 550 cheese slopes and the smaller ones probably add up to another 400 or so, didn't count them. I just remember having to order numerous times from bricklink for just the white ones as I kept running out all the time. Oh, please, go ahead! No credit necessary, I'm not the first one pulling this off. If you have any questions though, feel free to contact me! Haha! Thanks. I actually would have had enough bricks to finish the other sides and I was even planning to do so but it wasn't possible to finish it in time for the hand-in-date back then. When I took it back out two weeks ago I said to myself that I will take photos of the thing I handed in last February, not a improved version or something like that. This is something for the future as I mentioned above. Indeed. Its only purpose was to be photographed so I didn't care too much. My next builds are all going to be a part of an exhibition in the summer so no 2-wall-buildings anymore. Lets see how fast I run out of bricks
  22. Not a big fan of those but apart from that it is a very nice start. Looks very promising! Nice trees and vegetation and a very unusual but creative tower you have there. I'm looking forward to more postcards from the south
  23. Signed! The folder is still not public.. Would love to check out all the pictures our paparazzi shot - would you mind opening the folder for the public? Or is it just me who is unable to view it?
  24. This is just amazing! Totally want to get this! Jamie has outdone himself once again!
  25. Sure thing! Though I'm still stuck with sorting and counting my bricks. I have 3 things sitting on my shelf and another 4 planned right now..
