A gaussian blur would be too simple, there's something more about it. I use Photoshop on a daily basis so Gaussian Blur was quite obvious. Thanks anyway :)

Nice one! :D Kept grinning all day long^^ Who else but myselve loves cheese above all things ;)
-
Fantastic entry! I love the tower and all the details you managed to squeeze into this build. Nice selection of minifigs, a rather nice crane and a well executed elemental - i like it!
-
Lovely color choice my dear Cara. It has a nice fantasy feel but i like that. The castle reminds me somehow of the famous disney castle. Your phoenix is great! I also love how you managed to break up the build into different dimensions, very well executed!
-
Very interesting. Stumbled over this on my flickr stream tonight and instantly was amazed by this great execution! I love the bits and pieces (the cow!) flying through the air!
-
Great scene, so many lovely details! Great elemental and though it is rather simple, i love your usage of the new LOTR-horse.
-
I had my problems with your color choice of red and black, my drow friend. Yes, I had. But this thing is a great composition. Not too much red, lovely details, a water elemental (i never imagined that you would build a water elemental ;) ) and this great tree (i instantly bought white leafs via bricklink): In my opinion your best creation. (Yeah, i know, its small and tiny. Not your typical style^^) I think, the Nocturnian first place goes to the drow.. (my guess: 1.44m)

Instantly recoginzable Hieronymous Bosch. Very well executed and a genious idea to portrait elemental destruction. I myself thought of the idea to build a painting but it never would have been on this level! I really like the different levels and most of all the tiny figs on the mountain top left. It adds such a dimension to the build.

I LOVE that volcano! Great little scene, i also like the damaged house! Your elemental is executed nicely. (On a rather different topic: Which filter - or combination - do you use to achieve this "painted" look? Photoshop?)
-
ZC, you never fail to amaze me. And another challenge you will win. To make it short, we already did the critiques: Awesome. The thing that i like most is definitely the hand coming out of the floor - such a great idea :) Oh, and congrats on getting featured on TBB..

Great build on such a compact base. Very different but i like it. Great micro build usage!
-
Once again a great entry from you! As i mentioned earlier i love the dark blue & brown combo! I also like the crowded feel, a lot action is going on there. Also a nice incoroporation of the new parts from series 7.. Only thing i would change is your roof. Compared to the rest of the build it feels "too simple" if you know what i mean :)

Water Elemental Attack on a Mitgardian Outpost
Rolli replied to Torgar's topic in Guilds of Historica
Lovely architecture, my friend. Reminds me somehow of Lothlorien from Lord Of The Rings. Love the filigree look! Also a very nice execution of the water elemental though i think that the head might be better in a larger size with more details. The damaged tower is a nice touch. I also love your figures, the LOTR-torsi look great with "normal" green arms.. All in all: Stunning! -
Ah, my fault. There is indeed a micro component but behind the elemental. And i forgot to photograph it seperately, so here's a shot from my phone: Not much and limited by the tight space.

It has to be the last and final entry to this challenge - just in time some may whisper.. ;) I present: A dangerous mutation. A teaser: -
There are elementals and there are elementals. True. On the one hand we have earth and sky, on the other water and fire. But what about the breeds or mutations of these 4 elements? The true danger lies in them as they combine various elements.. I hereby present my entry for Challenge IV, a ravaging decay elemental: My elemental has the power to decay earth and flora and fauna, to resurrect the dead and to age creatures. I wanted to create a monster looking like it was made out of levitating rock pieces. Two shots of the elemental: Once colored dark green, the elemental managed to slowly decay the alloying of the roof as well as the wooden structure of the building. It is a slow process so there are different stadia of decaying. (Yes, there had to be cheese slopes! ) - two shots: "Oh no! My hair is grey! Am I aging? Holy christ!" The elemental resurrects the dead.. ..and also decays the local fauna. This tree still has some life: Your only chance to survive: Flee! Finally a shot of my olive tree concept: Comments and critique appreciated. Best regards!

Always the same discussions.. Guys.. Anyway: Good news! I'm entering Challenge 4, started building my entry today. I chose a rather different element but i don't want to hint too much. A lot of cheese slopes as always. As this is the last challenge i can enter, i'm doing something special :) Stay tuned! -

Signed! Otherwise all of my mocs would have an "illegal"-status. Its such a pointless discussion.. -
Great usage of cheese! And a lovely presentation.. Nothing to criticize here, good luck! Best regards!

I heard rumors that claim me being dead. Or taken by the drow. Or something like that ;) In fact, I found a way back to my bricks. And as I know how much you like wip-shots, I hereby present a small bit of my next creation: Starting yesterday I already was forced to place three orders on BL (Am I the only one not owning 1x6x2 arches in reddish brown?! It kinda sucks that they only were avaible in some Spiderman Set in 2004...) - which makes it clear that this is an early stage. A lot of bricks that I will swap when i have the right parts at hand. The whole building will have three stories, two annexes and - obviously - a cheese slope roof. You know me. (No interiors, i am sorry. Theres too much snot needed to achieve this wall effect..) To all of you that are awaiting my challenge 3 mocs I have to ask for patience. I want to make it to the thing I had in my mind when I started back then. Which will take time. But: It will come, definetely. As well as something for Challenge 4. Promised. Best regards, Sir Moriartus -
I'm still claiming these two islands: Hope, it is still available. Best regards!
