Side by side changing the roof would be much better. -

I like the lifting mechanism and of course the truck, it is tall for the large suspension but it seems to me 1 or 2 studs width. -

You are the fastest lego car builder I have ever seen and this is the best IMO. -
Gears Meshing at 'other' angles
jorgeopesi replied to DrJB's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I used 20th gear with 12th gear for the suspension and drivetrain of this tatra 4 or 5 years ago, it was strong, now I suppose I could build it better with the new pieces we have. -
I worked with motors and gearboxes just for show functions, never searching performance and now I am trying to get a "clean" style like Lego Technic racers but with suspension. I like too much build realistic gearboxes but modern cars have too much speeds for me. Now my fun is doing the same with fewer parts and more modular.

Ferrari F40 Competizione
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I don´t have many pieces but I am very proud of my red ones. Well for me the color is not important I work with the pieces I have, with the instructions I will try colors. -

I am full agree. -
It will be just a MOD but I am very excited about the changes. This time front and rear axles are modular so I can work more easy but there is much more. Competizione version hasn´t got retractable lights so I will do a better hood and thanks to the smaller front axle it will be more rigid. I won´t use chain for steering and I will add a bigger black spoiler with some details. New hood, changes in the bonnet and everything I can improve, for example the hood is sharper and I think it would be good to extend it one more stud.

You are a fast builder , your cars remind me first spiderbrick cars, if you build them 8 or 10 studs longer will be even better. http://www.brickshel...i?m=spiderbrick -
White is the New Red

You are right, I said I like this aesthetic bodywork with Lipko structural style for example. As a machine builder my MOCs have to be strong and functional before than aesthetic and my supercars too. With panels I don´t think the same, I am too purist to can put 50 or 60 panels together without interference between them, without fix each tightly, I mean they can not be moved by hand, maybe things will change with the new flex panels. -
White is the New Red

Is very similar to Tyler Reid, both use less pieces as possible, not my style at all, but they get pure art bodyworks. I'm still shocked with this grey R8 from 2010. -

Ferrari F40
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks, I know it, anybody can have my MOC or a MOD of it, everything is always improvable and more using the new parts available. If you give some time I am working with the competizione version, I have done a new and more simple chassis and the bodywork will be improve too. II will do instructions for it, if somebody wants to change again of course no problem. -
I took my time, you know me... the rear wheels... but it is a masterpiece anyway, the roof is perfect and without motors would be a masterpiece too. Changing the scale you get more space but the wheels looks small if you see the real one but it is soportable . You help me someway, I can´t build my new car, no inspiration and I had thought rebuild my F40 more simple, without gearbox but rebuilding parts I don´t like too much, like the hood, maybe the competizione version I don´t know, anyway I see is a good idea rebuild a MOC. Build supercars is increasingly difficult, the wheels are getting bigger and leaves us much less room for everything...
