  1. Peter Rabbit-ish box arrived yesterday (no photo, the postage sticker is in the way) bearing Easter uh Christmas um, free Lego! Thanks again
  2. To add to the space parts coming out this year, the Friends fairground stuff has the classic space logo on slopes. Not sure if it was a print or sticker.
  3. If people answering questions with questions in a "questions" topic would quote the original question or at least mention the name of the poster, I'm sure there would be less such confusion. If that sentence wasn't too confusing.
  4. Welcome back, I see you have bought some different coloured parts in the meantime! Impressive as usual, and so much creative detail
  5. Searchin' yousa feelings, yousa knowing it besa true!
  6. If the marbled parrot had a print on the beak (how many red parrots have red beaks?) it would be better, but it doesn't. It's just a nice variety to go with the printed ones you have... I have several of the printed parrot from early pirates sets, a few grey ones from castle, a black one and a few of the newer one from early Ninjago or POTC sets. I think the printed version should be done in a few new colours (green, blue, yellow etc) like that clone one shown above. Except better. Or print the marbled parrot with yellow or black beak, in the green/red or whatever other colour combo.
  7. It's a giant pencil, not very interesting. I know a lot of people (Americans mostly) love space programme stuff, but rockets don't look that great. Would kids want a rocket like that? It has a chance, but I think it's a bit dull, and maybe too big for what it is. A shuttle would definitely be a different story (we've seen plenty of those as sets). And no, it's not pessimistic, you know there's much more to passing review than being a nice model or popular idea. You've seen plenty of good projects fail. I am saying that I would not be surprised one bit if no project passes, while one or two could, but I think 0 is slightly more likely. And 15% of poll respondants say so.
  8. Every biography and documentary on The Beatles seems to contradict the others in terms of what is or isn't a deliberate drug reference. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I don't think you could take much written as 'gospel' though. Plus, drug references in the mid/mid-late 20th C (while still frowned on by many) weren't as bad a thing as today, now that we've seen much more of the destruction caused by use & abuse. But I still say that probably nothing will pass this review.
  9. Keep up mate, we're nearly 3 months into the new year
  10. Maybe this year's Disney Party (is the ApriI FooI filter still active?) will deliver. We've had AmeriBricks, and it's only 10 days away...
  11. You both deserved your titles. A (very funny) photoshop prank in a rumour thread (tsk tsk) and incessant harping about a disliked theme - what else did you expect?
  12. Doesn't make sense that the perfectly working 'wrong leg' wasn't used to repair the other droid instead. And I never noticed before that he had mismatched legs.
  13. The previous DS was $700 AUD... I don't even dare to think what a bigger one would cost... I only hope it has no decent exclusive minifigs (which is about 0% chance)
  14. Something banner staff seem to conveniently ignore every new season... And here I thought you'd found a way to give us an Autumn banner during Autumn while the rest of the world could have a Spring one. Why do we even need to have season-based banners (that are always topsy-turvy for us southerners)?
  15. From Geraldineflynn I choose not understand what they're not bad for. Anyone else with me?
  16. Supercar spammers are back for more punishment
  17. They should have just used Wayne Pygram again, Episode III was 11 years ago. His voice and appearance would be fine. Cushing was only in 1 movie, another "Darren" won't hurt.
  18. Asian supercars have returned, and now available with [/quote]! also... I'm glad I have permission for the aging procedure, thanks.
  19. Pretty comprehensive review, thanks. Looks like it'll be AUD$100, which is more than its functional worth at face value. I will come up with some custom boards to make it more worthwhile. So for adding custom (24x24... good to know) boards into the base, the border is 3 plates high, including the tiles. You would need to increase the border if you want to elevate for holes or use ramps etc. Jim: have you tried this with marbles? Would that satisfy those unhappy with the balls? I'm personally with you in that these things are supposed to frustrate and be a challenge. I would think though, that marbles (being heavier) would be more likely to fall in and stay in the traps, despite easier to steer.
  20. I expected the typical instruction booklet to be on there, was hoping someone knew where the rest might be if those bits weren't before I went looking there. Turns out I built it all wrong, haha. Still looks the same...
  21. I bought the Cyberman pack for the Lego (don't have the game, not getting the game, don't have a console, not getting a console) and I had to build the dalek without instructions. I know it's not hard to work out for yourself, but I'm just wondering if there are instructions available somewhere for Dimensions packs (other than in-game).
  22. Tight, but I'm leaning towards nothing approved. Beatles maybe, and as a former huge fan I would grab one, but I would be surprised if it got approved. Jurassic car maybe, but licence issues make it unlikely. Rocket? Looks a bit too bland to be a set. Land Cruiser is a bit bland as well, which is too bad because that's accurate. Everything else is a solid "no".
  23. I thought that neither, both or one of those two would pass, and most likely nothing else. Shame about the hornet, what with all the carry-over time.
  24. Lego in the band room? (Or is it the other way...) Dude, never let the wife & mistress be in the same place! Stuff gonna get ugly I like how you've set up the collection.
