They did, it was called The Lone Ranger, and it bombed, possibly because the movie (which was reasonable) got such bad reviews. Discounts up to 50% off. I thought the sets seemed decent, so perhaps the market isn't there after all. So I wouldn't expect the next Western theme release for some time.

Only ancient culture we looked at back in school was an overview of Egyptian & Roman. All I know about Greek stuff I've looked up for myself. Is it still being taught today? The languages taught in our schools today are different from what was taught decades ago, what about ancient history/culture?

I forgot to comment on the train! It's nice, even though the parts & look are more modern than the vintage sets. But I couldn't get a good look at the rear section. Is it passenger seating? The big window is attractive even if there's nothing to see inside. Black, yellow & red. With a black jumpsuit. Everyone knows it!

They are all in crAzy colours, makes them a lot less useful. Better off just getting normal ones from BL from previous Castle. This Castle hiatus combined with the Space theme hiatus (yes, there are parts and models in the action themes that fit the Space thing, but no sets for a coherent 'theme' that you could build a diorama with, like that monorail shared yesterday), along with the abrupt unfinished end of the Tolkien theme has me hardly touching Lego over the last year or two, despite being on websites every day. If not for SW I'd possibly give it up.

Every other set box has popular ships in the background that we don't get UCS releases of... why would this one time be any kind of proof? The set is probably happening, but that Rathtar box is nothing to do with it.

Very nice setup. And you have most of the light & sound sets there too. When I had a bigger place I would go into the room, turn them all on and watch the flashing LEDs in the dark with the monorail trains going around for ages.

I wouldn't count the "failed" Doctor Who set, they were only going to approve 1 of those, if any.

I wonder the same, I think it would be very expensive, and you never know what the back room licence discussions are all about. I was wondering how many projects have been held over and failed review. That space jet thing is the only one I can think of.

Shouldn't you issue a NPB (non-paying buyer) alert after a certain period of time? Then everything would've been covered for you. I'm not a seller, I don't know the details. I think you've gotta follow the process and take a hit when you make a mistake like this, if you can't prove your innocence. I got fined by 3 different police officers for 1 expired vehicle registration before I could do anything about it: $600. Had to pay all of it, and even then it still wasn't registered. But I hope you can get it sorted, unless the fees aren't too much.

I'm interested in Red Dwarf, but I don't think it will pass. I still hope so, though. I have picked the tram & diner, but I wouldn't buy either of them. I would add a vote for Voltron if it was on the list.

I seriously "noooooooooooooo"d when she finally announced the results. But but then the "we are still considering Voltron" was a relief. Man, after all of that we get ANOTHER delay! It was hours away from being in the previous review, and now it's delayed until the next one... I really, really hope it passes... I would also like to add "nationality" to that. As others have said, it's not just NASA that has contributed to space exploration. I think selective celebration is actually divisive.

It may have been exclusive to start with, but it was available elsewhere too. Kmart and independents had it, at least.

Not sure how that plane fits in with the whole "no modern day war stuff" (my words, TLG's sentiments) thing, even if it's just for stunts, it has air force markings on it. Is it the same or different story as the sopwith camels?

I like this year's sets even less. I will just BL some new villain minifigs, but probably wouldn't use them for much.
