Really nice how u used the parts... it is a rather new style, the way you built it....original at least!!!
Hope to see more from you in the future!

My two sets arrived the 4th of january...both boxes look at me as i'm still busy doing other thing that are more important! But, tomorrow i might start building!!
My two sets will arrive today between 11.00 and 13.00 hours....cool....i'm off from work today....!!!!!!!!!! So 'backordered' did not influence the delivery...!!
I like your style, it is clean and neat, detailed as well, but not too much... Love the quality of the interior-pictures as well...great!!

That is so weird... why does it show 'available' in S@H when it actually isn't....Maybe my payment later is also 'backordered' haha.. Let them wait too!
Brickus, i had the same thing, here in Netherlands Europe, it said Backordered as well....maybe it has something to do with holidays or so... i think there will be enough sets on stock.....You can read 'Backordered' on the order-summary i posted earlier today!

Hi Lazarus, i did this in November 2010 when this set came out...here the pics! I also added some other things to make it a bit longer!

Well, i have to wait at least 1,5 to 2 weeks to experience the feeling you got, but i won't doubt it will gave me the same feelings......!!
If someone makes a review soon, i don't think i will read it....rather experience my build live, with bricks, instead of already knowing whats coming up when i build it, but your information was nice!
Everyone: Enjoy the HE-build soon!

I think you'll need 11 straight sections...according to this picture a made earlier this month, without knowing about this topic...;-)

That blue colour surprises me... looks actually great! Seams to me there are not much vehicles in Blue.....or am i wrong...the truck from the 7898 cargotrain is blue..and the car from 4954 Townhouse.. There is a small blue car on the 7939 Cargotrain and in the 5771 Creatorhouse and ofcourse the 7848 TRU-truck.... but overall, there isn't much blue... Oh Yeah and the blue little pick-up in the 7642 Garage set.... haha..
Anyway, ilove your design and colour-scheme!

Dave, i'm not sure how much straight sections it needs... should have a look! My EN is not motorized, as there isn't so much room for my trains to let them go around all at once... decided to keep the EN without any motors, also because there are some problems with running it in a proper way....

Funny how people think about the thick snow on the roof.. Personally i think it is a bit too thick... especially in comparison with the other Winter Village buildings. The Post Office from last year, has hardly any snow on the roof, only a few ice bits.. That is why i've redone that roof.. Some will say, well the post offices-roof is steep, so snow will slide off.. true ofcourse, but IMO white should be present on roof, as snow is holy in the decembermonth!!! I think the set is not overpriced... a lot of people say it is too expensive, but there is so much detail in the cottage and it is a massive build.. it is just bigger and larger then all the others.. so it may be somewhat more expensive.......

YESSS...that is how it is done...that's how i like it...the original sets, in combination with home-made Lego-landscaping....really well done!! The new cottage is perfect on that hill...now it becomes clear why the cottage has such a dump of snow on the roof... that's why it is on top of a mountain !!!!
Thank for posting.. it makes me want to expand my wintervillage too!!!

Hi there, the tree is nice.. i already 'unpacked' the 4th of december, because it is already tuesdaymorning here in Holland.. The 4th has also a small addition for the tree...;-)
Me too..except for the Winter Village Cottage...couldn't wait and ordered it at Lego.com... Well.. at least the profit goes to TLG to design new sets..haha..
