My city counts 133 baseplates (32 x 32) and the length is 416 studs, and the width on average 352 studs....But it will not grow anymore.. simply no room left..haha.. Greetz, LegoSjaak

Hmm..i'm getting more and more inspired.... As i live in Holland, there are a lot of old and historical buildings that are worth copying in Lego. Just 100 meters from my home lives Angus Young, the famous guitarplayer from the australian Rockband AC/DC and this house is also a bit in Tan-colour...maybe i copy this one... First i have to get the 5 models out of my layout..... will try that tomorrow... and the 5 garages...ofcourse..and then start with something.... Thanks for inspiring me!

That is a nice building Alois.. i think i just start with something and see where it ends..... But your building is really nice! Bedankt!! Gr LegoSjaak

Hello Eurobrickers... i collected 5 Town House 4954 sets in the last few years.. Now i want to make my first moc....so my question is, what to do with those 5 sets... I would like to make one big building... Maybe anyone has done this already.. ? If someone has some nice ideas for a tan-coloured building with black roofing and white windows???? Hope to hear from you!! (Or see pictures to inspire me...) Greetz, LegoSjaak

MOD: 3 x Double Powered Maersk Locomotives
LegoSjaak replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Switzerland has beautiful trains as well. I was there 1 year ago... i love the Jungfraubahn.... great!!!! Greetz, LegoSjaak -
That is a lot, 117 wagons..although... it will look better if those wagons are loaded with something... haha.. I'm very curious to the layout you planned to build... would be a nice record... !!! You should do the record attempt when it is hot weather... the track wil expand when it is warm in the room...;-) I wish you guys a lot of succes and i hope you will set a record!!! MOD: 3 x Double Powered Maersk Locomotives
LegoSjaak replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The extra motors are only Eur 15,- so it is not thát expensive... Greetz, LegoSjaak -
Thanks Kyphur, but for a train of almost 8 meters, i would need at least straight sections of 4 meters after each corner.. It would never fit in my 8 square meters layout.. and even for a layout on the floor of a livingroom, it is an impressive track.. I see what you mean.....think i wil try it first with extra pushing locomotives.. but then i should be aware that the pushers should not push too much..else the cars would be pushed off the track...haha.. Ah well..it is just for fun to run such a long train.. i would never do that in my layout.. the longest one would be the Maersk train... Greetz, LegoSjaak

Today i made a setup to run a train of 7.60 meters long. The train ran for about 20 seconds and then pulled the cars off the track... I think i have to add my 2 7939 cargotrains as pushers....... Here a short HD-YouTubevideo of the test, and the moment the cars got pulled of the track!! Sadly i didn't work.....will try it again later this week!! Greetz LegoSjaak

MOD: 3 x Double Powered Maersk Locomotives
LegoSjaak replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Train Tech
It easily pulls this 5.11 meter long train... it will pull even 1.5 or 2 meters more, i guess, because it runs top speed with 5 meters......have a look at my HD video.... Greetz LegoSjaak -
Hello Lego Trainfans, i'm happy (and a bit proud) to present you a video of a running Maersk-train with 15 container cars. Total length of this train is 5.11 meters. Total motors in three Locomotives: 6 Here is a link to my brandnew HD video! And a picture:

MOD: 3 x Double Powered Maersk Locomotives
LegoSjaak replied to LegoSjaak's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That is true i read about it in this forum, but that will cost me another Eur 45,- or so... And if you have fresh batteries in your controller, than it is easy to get the speed right... Greetz, LegoSjaak -
Hi trainfans, this time i did not make a 4 meter long Maersk train. This time it is about pulling power... I added an extra motor in each Maersklocomotive. There is a motor on the red and blue connecter of the receiver, so it is easy to switch the direction...just turn the red and blue wheel....... Here some pictures fo the locomotives.. Hopefully my black 1x2 plates arrive soon, so i can keep adding cars to this train...i wonder how long it can get.... I'll keep you informed and will post pictures and a link of a running 4 to 5 meter long train...... Greetz, LegoSjaak

Hi Funkdis, i do not have any experience with 9v motors, but knowing the Maersklocomotive is really heavy, it might hardly pull 2 containercars with double containers, because of the weight of the load... An incline seems me to be too much for one 9v motor... You should just try.. I will try how many cars my 3 maersklocomotives will pull wit a total of 6 motors.... I will have to attach the wagons not only with magnets, but also with 1x2 plates.... Anyway...just try and find out..it depends also on the batteries, by the way....;-) Greetz, LegoSjaak

Hi all, i have just build-in some extra motors in my Maersk engines... so now 2 of my 3 Maersklocomotives have 2 motors each.. That is a total of 5 motors on 3 locomotives.. I need to charge the batteries first before i can test how easy they will pull their loads now!!! I just put 1 motor on the red channel and 1 on the blue channel. So you do not need any additional receivers or batterie-packs. The only thing i am worrying about is how long the batteries will last with two motors running... Greetz, Legosjaak

Do Train Fans Look Down on Harry Potter Trains?
LegoSjaak replied to Artifex's topic in LEGO Train Tech
My simple answer to your question, Yes, i think trainfans do look down on these trains... I never even thought about buying one.. you triggered me to think about it for the first time, but it didn't take long for me to be sure i wouldn't buy one... Greetz, LegoSjaak
