I think i'll buy this set.. it is too cute to let go... besides that, i 'collect them all'....so...it is a must buy...haha!
-
Nice pics of this really nice set! It deserves more than it gets in fact!!
-
Big one, made out of two sets...
-
I bricklinked two extra blue floors for the Pet Shop...and it cost met Eur 50,- for both... so you could consider buying two sets, and selling the Pet Shop parts....you might be cheaper off this way.....

The lattices are also available in gold, but black looks better here. For the palace Cinema i preferred gold lattices... Both parts of the PS in mirror build..

With black lattices, it looks like this...

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoSjaak replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
TLG will proceed with the modulars... they get older people back into Lego again.... When i show people/friends/family my modulars, most are stunned and are very interested.... This is a great way to suck people into AFOL-ity...! -
Looks great!! Nice how may versions are possible....!!
-
I did this with 2 sets..not totally happy with it, but did not have time to do some restyling...
-
I do like interiors, and i see beautiful ones around here. Sometimes i almost decide to do a nice interior in one of my enlarged modulars, but then it holds me and i say to myself: Wit the money you spend on the bricks for the interior, you could almost buy another modular.... so i rather do that.....Ans with spare bricks after widening a modular set with another copy, i can do already quit a bit on the interior......So i would rather choose a nice exterior over a nice interior......
-
Maybe some pictures of the upper floor / roof would make it more easy to see how it is situated....?? I'm happy to see that the washing machine will last a bit longer than only one year...
-
I really like the interior!! The washing machine outside the building would be a bad idea in the rather wet Netherlands.... it would rust away within a year or so...
-
I am one of those... and i made my TH also wider and taller.....

Somehow i dislike smashing toys...my parents always told me not to smash my toys... or else they would be given to children who do not have toys at all.....so i would rather see the trains run around on the track instead of crashing....
-
That is indeed a good choice... although 1000 euro's is a lot.. i think it does about 500 here in the Netherlands second hand including box and booklets.....But when you finally have the collection complete, it was worth the monay and you forget about the price soon....!!

Really well done!!! I like the colors.. this building would look great in the original Winter Village and also the schoolbus is a great addition!!! Your other moc are great too by the way....!!

Congrats!! It is nice to have certain moments to put them all together. I normally have them in a layout, but the last year i did not take the time to put them back in the layout.. so now and then, when i'm off for a day, i take them all downstairs to have a close look at them and re-arrange them!!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
LegoSjaak replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
i'd rather see an inverted corner, but as this might be not so attractive from the outside, (and thus may not be a good seller) this will be never done bij TLG....i guess.... -
I have all 9 modulars of which i have the last 6 double. For some modulars i even ordered some extra parts to make things like this...

After buying and opening almost 200 sets, i had only 2 bricks that missed some material in a corner and a missing stickersheet......
