  1. The interior is magnificent.. i like the curtains also a lot! it gives a warm and cosey feeling when you look inside this building!!! Very well done!!!
  2. Here is the planning that i made in Excel..
  3. Now TLG does not have to worry about next year's WV set... it should be this one!!
  4. I see what your meaning.. but if i buy two sets and only add one window on both sides...then i end up with a lot of spareparts.. i'd rather make the building somewhat wider then.. It should also compete with the other XL-modulars in my layout.. and as a Bank, it should not be too small. It is repetitive though...maybe i should MOD something there... By adding minifigs and bikes in front of the building, it will take away this repetitive look. I could also give the two guys on the ladder a more prominent place (change haircut, so they are no twins) and add extra plants like the one on the left. It will break up the repeating windows...
  5. I'm using Excel to make a planning. It worked for my sqaure, especially for tiling the whole area! (I'll post a Flickr-picture of my planning here later, somehow i can't do that here, at work)
  6. Okay Redtrooper, a few more PR's....so far i managed in doing the XL versions with two sets of each modular.. A XL-PR must be pretty cool too!! And what about the DO, did you do this one already? Last year i spent a lot on Bricklink, due to the square..thousands of tiles and other parts. Besides that i bought two sets of the DO but i also sold a lot of older City sets, so for me it wasn't an expensive year. For the BrickBank i might need some bricks, just to raise the building a few bricks, ormaking the whole building a bit wider. I think it is technically possible to build the version i posted a few posts earlier! I'm really counting the days.. maybe i'll need to do more on the interior of the BrickBank afte that i'm finished with the XL-build... that gives me something more to do on this building!
  7. Hi EddieZ, no need apologizing!! Your post wasn't inapproppriate at all. But normally a video gets more replies. As i saw that there was only one reply, i was wondering why. So after watching your video i thought it would be neat to tell you my opinion about the video.. I like the Lego, but i'm not so charmed about the Lionel trains.. that's all! Please have fun and enjoy your Lego and other! As long as there is Lego in a video, it is appropriate!! Best regards, LegoSjaak That's right...having fun and enjoying Lego is all that matters in this forum!
  8. I've made XL-versions of the last 7 modulars, so in fact all, except for Market Street, Cafe Corner and Green Grocer.. my XL-BrickBank will hopefully look like this:
  9. First i always do the official build... joy to the max! And after that, i shovel around with the outer walls and fillup the walls with the second set from the outside to the inside... So far it worked out fine! Now that i am more familiar with Bricklink, i might purchase some extra parts.. but normally, i only use the bricks from two original sets...!
  10. Count-Down has started... about 22 days to go before i will cut the seals of my two brandnew BrickBank sets... So a week later, i hope to present you my new XL-version of the Brick Bank!! Can't wait!!
  11. I see there has been done lot of work, but personally i do not like mixing up different styles of toys with Lego...i think a lot of people on this forum think this way too, and that is why there are not many replies to your post here.
  12. What about a gas-station, shopping mall, ice-cream stand, newspaper kiosk, MC Donalds, Library, Town Hall...just look around in your own town and get inspired....
  13. Thanks for sharing.. it is a nice element that provides some nice opportunities for Modular Moccers!
  14. All Lego houses are tiny.... .. only James May has built one that was pretty big...
  15. I was wondering why this lamp on the back and front of the cabin is covering the sticker with 'SEAWAYS' behind it....pretty awkward....
  16. I do look at some pictures of the new set, but i try not to see all details.. the surprising effect whilst building it, makes the built twice as much fun! So far i wasn't surprised unpleasantly.... . I'm not interested in the parts that are used so there is also no need to havea look at the details.....
  17. Personally, i never watch designer-videos....i'd rather be surprised by how the set looks like when i open the box.....so for me it is no big deal when TLG leaves the videos out...
  18. Cute and packed with nice details!!!!
  19. Pretty cool trainstuff!! You've done a great job on all those details!!
  20. Great detailing and i love the colorful buildings!!
  21. At least we'll get 4 new helicopters...
  22. An incredible build.....so much detail...it is hard to see the pictures are not from the actual building, but the Lego version....this is definitely on of the most stunning buildings i ever saw!!
  23. Haha...i was laughing out loud, when i read your reply!!!!!! I'm considering to set up a Lego recycling system... first i have to collect old Lego bricks...and then sort them out and make granulate of it....There must be thousands and thousands of tonnes of Lego in the world.. who knows how many bricks are floating around in our oceans....well, not my bricks... i carefully keep them in my attic, or at least inside the house..!!
  24. Apparantly there is no separation of waste in Lego City... Glass, banana, Fish, metal cans....all in one large truck.....
  25. You're not the only one seeing that 'specific' sign.... .. ..it wasn't thát 'hard' to see...haha..!
