  1. Relaxing on the farm http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=108518 | frumpy | Avalonia
  2. Hi All, After joining Avalonia this is my first GoH build to get me started. Sebastian is a 13 year old farm boy with dreams of a much more exciting life. In this scene he is relaxing in a tree on his parent's farm eating an apple. Keeping a watchful eye under the tree is his dog Hugo. I've tried a fairly basic tree coming into Autumn (although some of the leaves are holding on to their summer colour). Not sure if a simple build like this qualifies for UoP tree building points or not so happy for others to let me know. C&C welcome
  3. Hi All, Finally created my sig-fig to join. My Sig-Fig is Sebastian. He is a 13 year old farm boy who enjoys hunting and dreams of becoming a mighty warrior one day. But right now he has to get his chores done before sunset. As for Sebastian's story I'll be doing free builds over the next month or two to progress his story fairly rapidly at first. This is the official sig-fig photo of Sebastian with his dog Hugo. I've also included a picture of my first GoH build of Sebastian eating an apple in a tree on his parent's farm. I will also create a separate topic for this free build as well. In case you notice, yes Sebastian's hair is different in the photos. He has his farm-boy hair (in the tree) and then his serious hair which is what I've included for the official Sig-fig photo. The story will reveal the change. Anyway, Looking forward to being involved in GoH. Thanks.
  4. Thanks. I'll go with what I'm planning to do. I may very well incorporate a land claim into my sig-figs story at some point.
  5. Nice build. The water effects are well done. Especially the red.
  6. This is a great MOC. I love the lighting affect you have achieved with this. Good work.
  7. Hi All, I'm now at the point where I'm ready to join up (I was focused on finishing my castle build before committing to GoH http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107243). I have a few questions that I'd like clarified before building my sig-fig and introductory build. I was thinking of my character being a child who is seeking greater things in his life than being a farm boy. The child would have no title or land. Is this allowed or should my character be a noble of some description? I will be looking to make sure that the character progresses and can be incorporated into the GoH story appropriately. Based on the above I wasn't looking to claim any specific land on the map. Is this also ok? Thanks
  8. Fantastic MOC. Absolutely love it.
  9. I really like the tree technique. Great work.
  10. Nice work. The wall looks good and you put some nice details in like the chicken houses.
  11. Fantastic effort. Those flowers are awesome.
  12. Good chimney technique on the green house (I'll be taking note of that for future reference). For some reason the 1x2 inverted slopes under the windows looks uneven. Perhaps a 2x2 would be more even. But that's just a personal preference.
  13. Nice work. My favourite is all the action out back.
  14. Indeed. I tried that first but it looked a bit plain and boring so I put the trans light blue on it and red weapons.
  15. Hi All, My LUG is having a Chibi building competition. This is the first time I've built Chibi and also the first time I've made a non-castle based MOC. I decided to build Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet. My limited trans collection made it an interesting build and to help improve the build I decided to build a hanger for it with her Justice League friends. C&C welcome. I may actually have to do some more superhero builds as this was fun.
  16. Lol. Great build and very amusing.
  17. Lovely work. I love the detail on the inside as well.
  18. Thanks for the kind feedback. I've certainly enjoyed this build and learnt a lot while doing it which will help make my future builds better.
  19. I really love this build. The colours work well together and the windows are fantastic.
  20. Hi All, Coltherstone Castle is complete! After 10 months of building the 12 sections I've finally finished. I've really enjoyed building this castle which is my 3rd MOC (or my 3rd through to 14th if we count individual sections). Probably the most challenging part was building the stain glass windows on the keep as I redid these several times before I was happy. For those of you who haven't been following, the sections (in build order) are: 1. Barracks 2. Blacksmith (Corner) 3. Town Square 4. Archery 5. Royal Gardens (Corner) 6. Keep 7. Dock (Corner) 8. Stables 9. Houses 10. Gatehouse 11. Tavern (Corner) 12. Warehouse I'd like to thank everyone who has followed this build and provided feedback and comments along the way. For any Australians wanting to see this in the brick I will be displaying at Sydney Brick Show April 18-19. In terms of what's next for me I'll be focusing on work and a big university assignment for the next month. After this I've got some new build ideas (smaller ones) and I'm also planning on joining GoH. Thanks. The full album on Flickr is here: https://www.flickr.c...th/16862497746/
  21. Won't have to wait long. I've taken some photos but have to tidy them up in photoshop before posting.
  22. Thanks. Not many. I've been amazed at how many of them I've used.
  23. Hi All, This is the last section of my castle - the Warehouse. A cart has just loaded up and is heading off. Now that I've completed all 12 sections I now have to put it all together for some photos. C&C welcome. Thanks.
  24. This is truly amazing. I've spent a lot of time looking at the details. Some great techniques in use here and I'm inspired by what you have done with this build. How long are you going to leave this assembled? I certainly don't envy you the task of taking it apart and resorting the pieces :) Edit: Also, how many pieces did you use for the water?
