  1. The LBG M motor is a printing mistake. Only one of the red diffs is used for the drivetrain, the other is used to transfer drive through the turntable. Haven't gotten to the 42069 yet.
  2. Scanned for your pleasure. Yes, there are red differential gears which seem slightly altered from the DBG version - that the pin hole appears to be a bit extended, under 1 mm. It just doesn't end flush with the gear's side but extends a tiny bit. But it's such a tiny difference that I'm not sure if Bricklink will consider it a new piece or just a recolor.
  3. No, just a sub-assembly, as usual.
  4. This is without any doubt the most drastic thing a LEGO instructions book has ever asked me to do:
  5. LEGO Technic fans these days (needs more blue, though):
  6. Getting back on topic, I present to you the Technic blues (gotta start a band under that name someday). Anybody knows what's the deal with Technic and blue?
  7. It's not "them", its our current government which is quite literally made of lunatic asylum escapees.
  8. Yeah, if memory serves me well, some Poles answered with the following joke: from Germany to UK on V2 ;)
  9. Visiting Poland first is a tradition since 1939 ;)
  10. The eagle has landed. I repeat, the eagle has landed ?
  11. 1. It's not "engine", it's "motor". No offense, but it would be easier to take your project seriously if you described it in proper English. 2. Your idea sounds exactly like RCBRICKS idea, except that it was much more complete and yet it didn't succeed:
  12. Do we actually want that? I'm flexible on purism, but 1. Where's the fun/challenge in that? and 2. These motors (I'm assuming motors were what you meant) are powerful enough to drill or melt Lego axles, gears and other pieces.
  13. It's way better than I thought possible! My hat's off to you sir!
  14. It's very cute and I really love your photos.
  15. I'm not 100% where to put a review of a general-purpose LEGO-compatible third-party product, so please move the topic if it's in the wrong place. The tape comes from here: https://ludi-corner.com/collections/frontpage/products/block-tape
  16. I don't see how to demonstrate it without making the test unfair, sorry. Perhaps I should have just mentioned the weight of each power supply.
  17. With all due respect, I think that's exactly why it's fair. If the chassis' weight was changed between tests, how would the results be reliable? The differences between V1 and V2 occur with all power supplies and I've used 8878 because - unlike regular batteries - it maintains constant voltage almost until it runs dry. So 8878 was pretty much a guarantee that both V1 and V2 receiver would get the same voltage for the test. Also, the surface wasn't bumpy. Come on folks, it's a regular tarmac and you're talking like it was some hardcore off-road trail.
  18. Now that I have the GoPro 5 camera which can record speed on video, I wanted to use it for comparing how various power supply options affect speed of LEGO motors: old PF battery box, new PF battery box, V1 and V2 PF receivers, SBrick and BuWizz. Various AA batteries, too. However, in the imperfect conditions I was running my tests in, all results came out pretty close. I admit that this test could have been conducted in a better way.
  19. Not to question your method but if I remember correctly the biggest wheel diameter LEGO speed computer accepts is 8 or 10 studs, I don't recall which. So how do you use it with wheels that have diameter of 11.5 studs?
  20. PF M, but it will work with pretty much any motor.
  21. If I slow it down it will get less smooth and more jerky.
  22. Zoetropes are an old idea, all the way from 19th century. The video explains in detail how they work. I'm not the first person to create a Lego zoetrope and I kept mine simple to just demonstrate the idea. Photos & reading: http://sariel.pl/2017/06/zoetrope/
  23. Seeing as this is a work in progress, you may want to change the topic name to WIP, not MOC.
  24. You know it's Porsche when color is the only way to tell one model from another.
  25. I'd say they get dirty faster that wheels with rubber tires, but I haven't noticed any unusual wear. Very small stones sometimes get stuck in them, but that's because of the tread.
