  1. time is money, so outriggers in real life are not slow
  2. indeed has someone of the top hundred get his/hers crawler till now?
  3. a new modification of the undercarriage. a small speed up for the mini LA and a mechanical direction control for the whole outriggers edit: if someone is searching for longer boom extension strings http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?itemID=16669&colorID=11
  4. indeed, building was many many hours of fun. the outriggers are a little bit slow at going down to earth, but in complete they are well designed. the hand of god, placed at the back of the undercarriage is simple, but it works good. the overall look of the undercarriage is gorgeous, but not street legal in germany . here the tire pattern has to be covered by the mudguards. the uppercarriage is beside of the ropes a total loss. the boom can only raised to 65°, real mobilecranes has 80°. next point is the efficiency of the telescopic boom. retracted it has a length of 43cm, fully moved out 66cm. sorry, but this efficiency is awfully. the boom should be mounted more to the back to get more boom length and a more realistic look. sure the LA are to short for this, but lego had could use a gear rack LA to get enough movement. conclusion: undercarriage: 8 of 10 points uppercarriage: a great parts pack
  5. according to the 8110 modification collectors thread we should do the same with the 42009 mobile crane Mk2. and i start with some small modifications on the undercarriage. my first modification adds steering functionality to the flashing lights the second change is widen the body to the width of the stabilizers and chassis comments, critics and your own modifications are welcome.
  6. sorry, but when toys are us is more expensive than at lego itself, why someone should buy lego at TRU?
  7. are you serious? we have to wait till someone says? ok, we stop the selling, no one want one. now the top hundred can get their copy. sold out, no one for the top hundred is available.
  8. building is fun for me, and not the goal. so i have no problem to set a moc on a very long waiting loop (logging Truck for example) or dismantling it when i have no fun with this moc.
  9. i have my plans with it too, but first my copy should be delivered
  10. both rc motors acting on the same 28 tooth bevel gear of the diff. the front diff output delivers the torque to the front diff, the rear to the rear diff. on an adder the buggy motors would be on the "outputs" of the diff. where do you see an adder?
  11. i see a center diff, so the rpm difference of the different tire sizes is compensated. sure he had should used an reduction on the rear diff, to reduce the differences and the load on the center diff bevel gears.
  12. maybe this is a solution for you freepull function at 25 seconds
  13. no, i had no time and interrests for testing it till now. the rubber compound is very soft and sticky and the foam inside is very soft too. but you should search for 1.9 tires, because the rims are very special in use without modifing them. the power puller rims are not really work with 2.2 tires
  14. there is a second one the first one has it from the lego store in alderwood, WA
  15. fuzzyballz, you have the boss? are you in the top hundred?
  16. i love the crane, the davit, the waterbomb thrower and i love the complete tug with all of its details
  17. this one? source
  18. h3t stands for? hummer H3 maybe?
  19. yes, but the servo is actually part of the construction, because it holds the center part of the windshield frame. yeah, it is ugly but hopefully it will be fast
  20. i have used twin otters idea, nothing else.
  21. if i reminds me correct the bug has a weight of 400gr. more i have not tested
