  3. on amazon they have cost roundabout 18,50€. on rc4wd are several different types of semi truck tires which have the same dimensions and should fit too. rm8 which diameter have the 68,8x24 rims?
  4. for pictures you should use an external picture service like flickr or similar. the attachments are not the best thing for pictures.
  5. ok, you want let it walk like this wich uses one XL per side your idea is an interesting approach and theoretical it should work. but which gear ratio do you have or is there a mechanical blockade when turning?

The fulda Eco control was made for 1;14 RC trucks and has a rubber compound which is similar to the lego compound. the outer diameter is 81mm, the width is 22mm and the inner diameter is roundabout 43mm. it sits not really tight on the old 24x43 rims maybe some transparent adhesive tape on the rim could solve this problem for display models. for rc, hm maybe there are some different rimms which could fit

  10. sorry, but this is more a kenworth coe the 42008 is only a european coe with a front axle to much in front
  11. for the steering you can look in the link in the post above. but please note that is a fully handpowered chassis. i dont know how this front suspension will react on offrod terain

  14. and the motor controller is interpreting the position control in the lego servo into signals like the potentiometer of a rc servo?
  15. sorry if i dont understand what are you describing, but you have connected the lego servo to a rc speed controller or to a custom controller or simply to the rc receiver like a standard RC servo? more details please

  18. i have on ldd started with the display version of the baja boss. here is the rear axle yes it is very fragile, but for an handpowered model it should be stable enough

  21. well, this is the complete RC unit. The RC receiver is a ccx pro 3 channel from Jamara. the speed controller is a V15 navy from graupner, it is a controller for ships and i have used it because it has a low maximum of 15 amps and i had the fear that more power would overheat the motors. but the buggy motors and the cables are not going warm, so i think speed controllers for cars mit more amps should work too. the batterys are aaa Accus (choosed for low weight) with 1000mah, and it seems that on high power situations they going very fast empty. 100_0710 von efferman auf Flickr to connect the electrical lego components to the RC speed controller, i have modified two extension cables with tamiya connector plugs. at the baja bug the inner cables deliver the current to the buggy motors. the second plug was a mistake then i have needed an servo which is able to mount in a lego car, so i have killed one of my dozens of battery boxes and use it to make some mounting points on the servo. the bondic box contains a liquid plastic compund which hardens only under UV light and give me a proper connection between the lego cut off and the servo. at last action i have made two holes in the servo lever dish to connect the servo movement to the lego axles. on the baja boss i use a 20/12 tooth combination to get enough rotation for the lego steering mechanism thats all when i have made the video and had some fun during driving, i will make a hand powered version of it. on display i need no RC parts. then i will make an instruction. i hope ldd has the right parts included
  22. it seems that they are 1.9" tires, and with a width of 36mm they should fit properly on the three hole rims of 9398/8110
